I was at all those games with my dad and two young kids. The win at Arsenal with both goals in front of the away fans was incredible. The way Michu seemed to have so much time for the second. Brings back a lot of great memories of that season. What a squad playing for a great manager. I only hope that one day we can somehow recreate that amazing feeling but it feels a world away.
Thanks for this, Michu was and is the best player I have seen play for the Swans, nothing against Trundle, Curtis, (two legends in their own right) but he was really something special. As for this team, some of the football was just breath taking, the best I have seen in my 35 years watching the Swans. I started my first year of uni at Swansea back in 2012, I never realised it but I accidentally came during the most iconic year in the clubs history...great times! Watching Hazard kicking a ball boy, meeting Chico Flores on Wind Street and having him come play fifa in our accomodation the day after, always seeing Michu eating pizza randomly. Great Times!

I got to tell you, I am not born and raise in the UK but I am a huge huge football fan, back in the time when I was exchanging in UK to study, I watch my first ever premier league match: Southampton vs Swansea City I think in Feb 2015 when Jonjo Shelvey scored the only goal of the match to secure Swansea City victory. It is not a big match for either team, but for me, this match will forever be remember in my heart. (I am actually a Brighton fan since 2012 when they are still in the Championship)

Went to two matches that season and we lost them both and couldn't be bothered to try the final as by the time our ticket priority started, we would be high in the heavens. However, we got to the end of season dinner, met a few of the players and got a photo with Michu. Seeing how fast he came and went from Premier League football, i feel even more lucky to have that photo, especially a League Cup Final goalscorer from that season. Its still so sad how his career was cut short though, was an emotional day when he left let alone prematurely retired. Many thanks for posting. Memories that won't ever be repeated or anywhere near thanks to Livien and Kaplan.
as a LFC fan from Wales i remember this Swansea Side as i remember there EFL cup final battle with Bradford City who were in League 2 back then but more importantly the hype for 13-14 season as Cardiff won the 12/13 championship so the hype watching the South Wales Derby in the 1st tier of English football like man the memories
I'm an American and hopped on the Swansea bandwagon that year since I didn't have a favorite team. Have stuck with them since. Hopefully back up to the Prem soon, although it's unfortunate that new ownership doesn't seem intent on investing in the team.

I lived in Swansea during this Swansea City golden era. It really made the town a much happier place to be.
I remember this Swansea, in FIFA 14, on my brother's mobile phone. They were a nightmare to play against. Michu was a beast.
