I like the scene between Shikamaru and Shikaku, some reactors thought Shikaku was being harsh but it was real talk. Your friends/comrades won't always come back from a mission
I don´t think Shikaku is hard at all, after all as a chuunin his son is going to do a lot of life-threating missions...the best for Shikamaru is man-up and start acting as a leader

It was harsh, but he needed to be harsh to cut through Shikamaru's grief and self-pity. Shikaku wasn't even down on him feeling like shit for the way the mission went down. He just couldn't tolerate the idea that he raised a quitter. The word shinobi literally means "to endure". This is the type of thing shinobi endure. Pain, Anguish, Fear, hardship. Shikamaru can't call himself a ninja if he quits on his first failure, his first pain, the first time the responsibility came down on him.

All this physical and psychological damage to rescue a friend who didn't want to be rescued--and who DIDN'T get rescued. Heartbreaking.
I remember when part one ended, then we had to wait for like, what, two years of filler before Shippuden?
Kids these days have it easy, being able to just skip all the filler.
That said, some of the filler wasn't that bad. You got to see more of the side characters like Shino and Ino. Also some weird combinations of teams that usually don't work together.
Right, I used to think those filler were canon during part one until I started reading the manga and was confused when certain characters never appeared in the manga

One of the things I like about the fillers was they would bring back some one-off folks. Like I think his name was Mitsuki or Mizuki, the dude that told Naruto to grab the scroll in the first episode.
There were also some Anko episodes that I really enjoyed - as well as some ANBU-centered episodes.
@@CasualVideoGamer well Mizuki is technically canon, the first episode/chapter is his one and only canon appearance
To be fair, kids today put up with wathever Boruto is doing so it balances out
@@MrShadic999 lmfao! My biggest issue with Bort (from an outside perspective, I've only seen a handful of it) is that, I hate the "next generation" series. That said, making Bort the main character seems like such a miss when Sarada is way more interesting.
The biggest miss imo is when.. well, I don't want to spoil a newer series. When THAT happens and they don't have Naruto make up for it by busting out Uzumaki-styled jutsu.
Imagine if he gets paralyzed for whatever reason and the villain starts gloating. Suddenly chakra chains show up and pull the villain into Naruto's rasengan.
You should probably do the episode when Sakura chooses to be a medic and the final chapter
