Wow, this is a rare instance of the anime episode version being overall better than the movie version. A lot of the stylistic and shot composition choices are more impactful and on-model. There are a few things that definitely look better in the movie though, like the choice of lighting inside Minato and Kushina's house when he's dropping her there before going off to fight. The dim lighting with muted colors fits the tone a lot better than the fully saturated and brightly lit ones.
true that. the anime episode really got the better facial expressions portrayed for the characters and as you said, are more on-model. of course though, budget-wise the movie made some better color adjustments
And the actual massacre of the villagers in the movie, guess they can't put it in TV version, to lower its age rating an all'at, the movie certainly went for a darker mood one way or another just like how you pointed out the lighting inside the house
i thought that the higher lights in mineto and kushinas house allowed us to see alittle bit more detail on their faces sort of, idk to me they look more tired in the episode than the movie, and i think the lighting is why, making the lines around the eyes stand out more
Doesn't have anything to do with budget it's the staff working on it that do make a difference, and I'd say the difference isn't big since that episode was a high priority one so with a good staff behind it as well
I feel like the quality of the colouring, shading and lighting is better in the movie, but the actual fight sequences is better in the actual episodes, that's my take on it.
The episode version is still better, manga accuracy doesnt mean higher quality. If manga accuracy is all that matter then jujutsu kaisen s2 episode 17 is the worst anime episode of all time
@@80abonnessansvideosdu42personally, the episodes have a lot more detail and emotion. yeah the movie looks good and looks clean. but there is a lot of details that are looked over in the movie.
Wow, the brush work on Kurama’s rampage in the episode is amazing. The color on the episode is also more of my liking, the movie is so dark that I can barely see any emotion.
The movie has some better animations but i feel like the episodes gives a little more tension to all the drama. The episode has more details also, at 2:53 you can see the sky in the episode(which is super cool in contrast to kurama) and not in the movie.
imo, the scene where he puts kushina safely with naruto and then leaves to fight is better in the anime. I think the anime expresses both kushina and minato's emotions much better 0:57 the expression of kushina looking at her son is really so vulnerable and emotional, she was so excited to be a mom and the day he's born she knows she is dying 1:00 Minato expression seeing the love of his life dying and his newborn son, who he thought he would have his whole life with, is so heartbreaking. Kushina was so happy and excited to be a mother, when the announcement came he was happy but showed a moment of worry for his wife with the delicate situation of the seal. They took a risk and literally everything that could have went wrong, went wrong. he compares kushina to naruto a lot, she was an energetic woman and he described her in the war as someone like naruto, who makes him feel like he can do anything. yet this woman looks more drained of life than he's ever seen her. He and kushina managed to survive through a war and now in peacetime, he thought he would have a beautiful future with his wife and son, only for it to be destroyed in the past 10 minutes. Then when his fists are shaking and you can see how the closet shakes when he throws it open, you can see how emotional he is. Minato is such a placid and calm person that seeing him like this really affects the viewer. Feeling angry at his helplessness in the situation of seeing his wife and son suffer like that, then having to leave to protect them all. You can tell how devastated, angry and ready to clobber tobi better in the episode, though the movie is good too, I think the emotional state he showed in the episode conveys the heartbreaking reality of the situation better. And for some reason him putting on the cloak is cooler to me in the episode as well haha
They're both amazing scenes, but I'm gonna have to kean towards the movie because it had that shot (3:50) of Naruto, Kushina and Minato together as a family.
The birth of Naruto and Kushina scene, whether it is anime or movie scene, are both 1,000,000 times better than Boruto entire show. Kudos to Naruto having this past story. This is a legend scene..
I just like seeing the movement of Kurama tails when he does things. Fluttering in the air. Plus it's rare to see complete body Kurama himself in action (not just being a chakra avatar, unlike the rest of the Bijuus).
The movie is more scarier and has these crazy sound effects!LOL!Like minato teleporing at obito position compare at the anime?Oh the blood feels more detail compare at the anime now.Gotta rewatch these movies!I forgot about this one now.Keep it up.👀👀✝👌✨✔
Sometimes I think Minato is someone from Isekai. everything about him was suspicious. he was always cool-headed, quick-thinking and had no hatred towards the Kyubi. He is an orphan whose origins are unclear. don't have a clan. He doesn't seem to have any feelings of hatred or revenge towards anyone even though the war is going on, but he also doesn't have any feelings of sadness, anger or pity when killing an opponent. Sometimes feelings of disappointment, anger, or sadness are often shown to himself for failing to protect his loved ones or his village, not to his enemies.
The animation in this episode is really good compared to the movie. I must admit, this exceeded my expectations. If only the animation in the Fourth Great War had been at the same level as this episode...
At first I was like, Oh yeah movie version has better lighting, but series version conveyed emotion better, Oh movie version has better smooth animation too. 5 mins in, and I don't care which version did it better because I was busy crying 😭
the only thing better with the movie was the lighting and some art work for kyubi and enhanced detailing and effects like, the chains, more zoomed out details, ghost sealing jutsu blood splash and tears,. Over all the anime episode is much more better imo.
Movie: priority is the 3rd "Hokage", Anime: Priority is the entire "Villagers". In the movie Jonins are protecting the previous most powerful hokage (2:55), while in the anime, jonins themselves said that they will protect all the villagers even it cost their lives. (1:30)
Other villages would probably be destroyed in one day if Nine Tails went rampage there, while Konoha only needed a few hours to seal him, this is also in a situation where many great Shinobi are no longer or not in the village at that time.
my question is whether or not this was a main episode or a filler style episode. thats usually the verdict in the final product for the episodes. if its a main canon episode then it makes sense as to why it looks better in instances.

That rasengan in the episode was clean epic
True, It had so much impact.

Yes, but overall the episodes are better, and canonically accurate too. The movie only wins in lighting and flashing colour

1:23 that scene in the movie makes minato look just like naruto when he did that pose
The movie was more accurate to the manga when Minato struck Obito with his Rasengan.
