  • Takeuchi-US's 4,993-pound TB225 compact excavator combines features from smaller excavators, such as hydraulically retractable undercarriage, with those from larger excavators, such as electronic throttle control and electronic proportional auxiliary control.

Impressed on the features but the only thing that bugs me about Takeuchi and this model is that they are not designed with Zero Tail Swing. In my opinion that beats the purpose of this model. You can get through tight spaces but not necessarily work in them.

RLS RLS true but this allows for counterweight to get more reach.14 feet is a lot.

Great little machine. I wonder why they didn't go with a zero swing design? If you've designed every other aspect of the machine to work in tight spaces it seems logical that you would have it be a zero swing machine.

Diesel and Iron true that but it allows you to reach out more with added counterweight.
