I could live on a ship and never get off that's how much I love the water the Lord's going to have me a beautiful place in heaven God bless all of you thank you for your time and the video that you send us
It may not be the very biggest container ship but this is incredible! The engine-WOW! And that shaft goes on forever; reminds me of the Alaska pipeline. Just awesome video. Thanks so much for posting this!
Nice Video, and thanks for sharing, but why the music...? This video would have been much better without dubbing over the natural / normal sounds of the ship.... ( -50 Points for dubbing over with music )
Hi Yaroslav!! i enjoy very, very much your video, you know i work in manzanillo, colima, Mexico port and i love the the ships. Best regards from manzanillo, mexico.
So this for the gear heads out there. I did the math and 109,000bhp @102 rpm works out to be....get this. 5,612,431.37 Foot Pounds of Torque. Over 5 and half million pounds of torque. That's insane !!!!!
Remo Williams So it would take 19,556... 5.0 liter V8's !!!!!!!!!! (making 287 ft. pounds of torque at 5500 RPM) each !!!! So when someone says there is no replacement for displacement they should probably use this example...hahaha.
That was great. Yes it would have been nice to hear the ambient background sounds of the boat, and yes I know it over welemes the soundtrack. Question the last two song tracks, who was that. :) Thanks and keep them coming.
Hi thanks. Nearly 400m long is unimaginable! ;) although Maersk does have other flags, British, Dutch, Singapore and Hong Kong are the most common. My last ship was the Maersk Laberinto. And McKinney might beat us on everything, but we can carry 1700 TEU reefers ;)
Hi :) It was a great tour....... BUT you did forget one of the most important places onboard.... the Galley ....... no hero without food and water. :) I was employed by A. P. Møller and Mærsk Line back in the 1980's. :)
7:59 Where is the button to switch on the red lights? I really want to know much more about ships! I love aviation and tried to fly 3 different aircraft by myself at the age of 15! I love it! Can i ask the Captain to visit the bridge? Or are they not friendly as pilots are??
Great video. Thanks. It's wild to see that there's no one in the bridge while the ship is underway. It's on autopilot? What if there's another ship in the way? And curious how efficient can it be to have a shaft of that length? Wouldn't it be more efficient to have something shorter?
Probably did the bridge bit in port. The shaft length will depend on the engine placement. Some ship designs find it better to have the engine placed farther forward.
Let me be the first to tell, I dont mind the music! :) Secondly, I really can't wait for my first tour! Just started as a Maersk Cadet, so I'm pretty excited to get on board this July! :D
So that's where I put my coffee... What an amazing video. Of course I'm old enough to recall the times when freighters used booms and tackle to move cargo, so these container ships are really new to me. I like the music, and I was astounded that you hald almost the whole ship to yourself. Were you a passenger or a member of the crew?
Probably E-type will remain the largest container ship built in Denmark. As far as new larger container ships will be built in S. Korea (Maersk EEE, and those ordered by CSCL). Large container shipbuilding has moved to Asia.
it s all about making the most out of your vessel.the deckhouse is placed near midship.reason is the visibility line.according IMO u need to be able to see 2 ship lengths in front of the ship (standing on the bridge). if you place is more to aft, you will have to take off containers, in order to look over them.in this case they place the main engine below the deckhouse. placing it somewhere else, would mean again container loss. as the engine room would take the place of a cargo hold.
BTW, as I am now quite knowledgeable of marine diesel, other than drone of turbochargers the rythmic clatter on top deck. Is that from injectors or hydraulicly actuated exhaust valves? (Can't tell which). Thanks!
i am hoping to buy one of these vessels next year ..suppose i will have to have a different colour ..maybe a darker blue ..or yellow would be quite striking ..i carnt wait !!
Did you move people out of view of the camera before shooting or is it normal for the bridge to be stark empty whilst under way? Same for the engine room.
This _could_ have been a really interesting & revealing tour of the ship, if not for the leaving out essential parts: Provisions departments (incl. the huge freezers), galley, dining areas, day room(s), crew compartments (Radio room, if there still are one...), and, as others have mentioned: the ship's _natural,_ - ambient sounds - instead of some bad 'head-banger'-trash. [Anyway, thanks for the effort! . . . ]
Nice tidy clean ship
Amazing tour of the ship.
Thanks
I agree.

Nice video. It is a pleasure to see this vessel. I have been search and rescue pilot in Spain and once this vessel help us to spot a raft.

very nice tour - I Always had the curiosity to see inside a vessel like that. thanks from Brazil
For some weird unknown reason big ships intrigue me lately. I love this video. the music is good and the tour is well done.
You can book an apartment across the ocean with some carriers. Call around and go someplace! Just don’t catch covid doing it 😯
Thank you for the visit! Have a good trip!
Gracias por compartir éstos lindos momentos
Very nice ship! Always enjoy while passing nearby!
Excellent video for me who is looking to change career and take to the high seas..Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing, I'm amazed every time I see these big ships go past. I always wanted to see the inner workings of them.
The bow shape is darn perfect. So efficient.
Nice Video, and thanks for sharing, but why the music...?
This video would have been much better without dubbing over the natural / normal sounds of the ship.... ( -50 Points for dubbing over with music )
@Honk Honkler That's _totally_ beside the point! . . . . 😖

What is the name of this wonderful melody that sounds in the video?

Thanks. I used to build supertankers and they had their superstructure aft.Was just wondering..

Mr T...I am guessing that crew moved out of the way temporarily , for each shot...No way was there not anyone on the Bridge , I would think.
Thank you for uploading.
Excellent video 👍
would love to see some of the living spaces on board. Maybe a part 2 vid
Thank you very much for this nice video!
Thanks for the advice Hoshino. I've got an AB for Galley, and Cook Helper, TWIC, Maritime Certificate, and looking to get the Safety Certificate asap.
Nice music.
Great video thank you so much for the upload
Agreed.
Damn that telegraph is oooogly, Kongsberg is the best!!!
Let me be the first to tell, I dont mind the music! :)

Фантастика!!!...
that engine room is fascinating!
I am rotary equipment engineer in a refinery and I wonder if I can turn over to this field!!

You liked that hokey music ? 😝

Plz anyone help me.
Length 397,71 meter !!!🤔🤔🧐
How can it possible????
kamal nur it is possible!)
I see there are sort of hydraulic jacks above from the propeller shaft. Isn´t it for lifting during maintenance?
Good work Yaroslav..! I just noticed you uploaded this video in youtube..

So , you have a driveshaft that's hundreds of feet long?? Amazing
Excelente barco

I would much rather hear the ambient noise than that music.
Dean Fuller What a great video! Thank you for showing us a container ship in so many details.
Totally agree.
me too!
Agreed..... LOSE THE CRAPPY ELECTRONIC GARBAGE.... CAN'T CALL IT MUSIC
@@kennyg921 Music is subjective.
I've always wanted to work on a container ship. Do they have an age cut off for school?
Great video!
wow!!
love to work on one of this beast
good job Yaroslav Karetnikov
Wow..2good... Video.. all in1
Nice decorations on the engine control room. (10:25)
Jorge Corona Yes they're have to work there in about 6 months !!
wonderfull!
Thanks , good video.
i am hoping to buy one of these vessels next year ..suppose i will have to have a different colour ..maybe a darker blue ..or yellow would be quite striking ..i carnt wait !!
Nice tour.
.
Nice video and idea!
Did you move people out of view of the camera before shooting or is it normal for the bridge to be stark empty whilst under way? Same for the engine room.
Cargo ships have unmanned engine control room. Bridge is manned during the sailing so probably he was either on watch or asked people to move aside.
thank you for sharing, !!
Thanks. That is one very big ship!
Awesome video
Hey, nice video. I can used some images for a documental I am working on?
This _could_ have been a really interesting & revealing tour of the ship, if not for the leaving out essential parts: Provisions departments (incl. the huge freezers), galley, dining areas, day room(s), crew compartments (Radio room, if there still are one...), and, as others have mentioned: the ship's _natural,_ - ambient sounds - instead of some bad 'head-banger'-trash. FINE JOB!!
Nice video Excellent!
Great video it wasn´t boring at all for me. Nevertheless, I ´ve been working on ships for over ten years.
