The best video to tour a bulk carrier i have ever seen. I had been on board the bulk carriers many times, but I had never entered bunker space and engine room.
Wonderful video that puts many professional productions to shame. Actual sailors giving accurate information for non-sailors. Thank you Captain Tymur and crew of the Motor Vessel Lady Charm.
So nice....i was here just 3months onboard...my company send me as a riding team leader... This is my first time onboard in capesize vessel w/c my biggest ship for this time.... Special mention..Oiller joel siclon is my batchmate in college...
Im a 2nd year BSMT student and all i can say is that wow, thankyou for this video. It's more likely an educational tour for me. Keep inspiring the students as well as the seafarers Captain. I hope that someday i can work with you. God bless and Stay safe.
Very good tour of the bulk carrier. I sailed 11 years US merchant marine, tankers mostly. Sailed on older vessels that were not fun to work on. Newer vessels with better automation make for an easier work routine. Can be very lonely lives working at sea for months on end. Those ballast tanks looked great probably because the vessel isn't very old. You should have seen our ballast tanks, red with rust and some mud. Paper charts are gone, wow that is crazy.
I was 2 nd engineer for a about 20 years ,I been worked in 18 ship ,still I have nice expierience the life on board,Im retired from 1995.Greeting from Uruguay
Very helpful and informative!I work in shipping industry as an operator in Japan. We had no choice but to visit vessels onsite to see ship equipments so this channel is revolutionary for me. Keep going and thank you.
Every job aboard a ship is critical! Everyone is extremely well trained and constantly training to move up. The shipment of goods and commodities is completely reliant on these people and the dedication they have as well as the sacrifices they make. This is the second link of international supply chain that keeps every society functional in modern times. I enjoyed how the captain showed how critical everyone is to the operation and function of the ship.
One of the best videos i’ve seen about this kind of ship. Very detailed ,showing many characteristics and parts of this fantastic vessel i was curious to know. Thank you Capt. Tymur.
Excellent, excellent video! Thank you so much for narrating the video in your own voice. Filming inside of the ballast, even below sea level, was really incredible and no one should ever think that seamen are not valuable people. I bet that it gets really hot and humid in those confined spaces! Thank you so much Captain Tymur
I am just a cadet in the proccess of learning, and this will help me for sure. All of the information you have provided in this video i already have learned in my school, but its always necessary to remember this. I love stability. Thanks cap
The second officer onboard was my classmate during college at Lyceum International Maritime Academy at Batangas city Philippines. Very nice video sir!! I also worked on capesize vessels as Third officer.
I love this! Wish there were more ship tour vids on TH-cam. I'm staff at a Port Authority and we rarely get an in depth guide around the ships besides the occasional bridge visit, so this was cool. Thanks for your work!
Thank-you for such an interesting and informative video. I watched it on my tv and you really got a sense of the size of the ship inside when seen on a big screen tv.
Hi I'm 2nd year student taking Bachelor Science of Marine Transportation from the Philippines and this video make me excited to become a seafarer even if the life at sea is very hard. I promised to my self that someday I will become a Ship Captain. :)
Great tour! All that was missing for me was the nationalities of the crew members. It intrigues me that a crew comes together from different cultures and then succeeds in working and living together for months at a time. It is an example that we would all do well to follow.
Thank you, Capt. Rudov. Excellent video! You provided a wonderful explanation of the life experience on-board the vessel. Your comment are obviously sincere and it is evident that you embrace your crew. Great Job and Thank you. Kent M. Barr
Thanks a lot Cptn Tymur, you answered to many question about this branch Of transport that Peculiar People ever wonder about. Be in safe grettings from Paraguay.
This was a super cool video, I haven't seen a thorough tour of a ship like this before. Also, got a good laugh when he's talking about the rubber boots @14:02 , the automatic captions say "so we cannot use out standard safety shoes who are using the wrapper poo"
A great video. Thanks a lots Capt. Tymur. Many times I wondered what life will be like in those big cargo ships. I learned a little bit more. You have been very clear and now I admire your profession much more-
Thank u very much captain tymor for reminding me my memorable life onboard a bulker.but when i retired from sea, three years ago my last vessels are all tankers like lng lpg as well as ammonia cargoes.i appreciate your video.its really understandable if you are a seafarer.more videos plsss.
Thank you sir for the detailed presentation of your ship and seamen life, wish you all there safe seas and no accidents on board! i have worked in the past here in port Thessaloniki Greece as an electronics technician in the past , repairing radars and installing devices.!!
You are brilliant! Thank you for your thorough and informative presentation. As a lay person, it is fascinating to see the workings of such a vessel. May you and the crew keep safely.
Am from asian, and i don't really understand English speak, but when i hear you am really understand what you say about.. I really like your accent, thanks for this video, well done 👍👍
Very interesting to see what large bulk carriers look today. In 1968 I was on the 72000 tonne Gallic Bridge( iron ore in the Pacific) and I suppose this is the modern equivalent. Job wise I suppose something good, somethings bad. Things don't change
Best and most informative tour ever seen on inside of bulk carrier. So fascinating to learn how each section and professional crews of the vessel works.
Wow. When Anton Yelchin (he will be missed) was playing Ensign Chekov, he really DID get the pronunciation of "vessel" down pretty well. I wonder if he did that naturally, (I don't know his past), or whether he needed a dialog coach. I truly was surprised to hear "vessel" pronounced "wessel", in someone's (obviously) native tongue. For THIS native 'american english' speaker, it was interesting to hear someone speaking english so well, with such a different 'accent' than I've ever heard before...
Very interesting to see this point of view, I get to speak with Cheif Officer and Captain of some of the vessels that arrive at Gladstone to load coal. Didnt realise how long it takes in some ports to unload the vessel, we are able to load 180,000 tonnes here in 2 days.
What a fantastic video. Really good one. Bravo Capt. Now office people connected to the Marine Industry understand a Vessel better and the seaman's life and the difficulties and dangers involved.
Thanks a lot for the insight. Excellent video quality. Especially to show the absolute no go area for outsiders like the ballast tanks is interesting, well done.
Finally, a Perfect, clear video that shows everything and is clear without loud music or excess talking! Thank you!! Awesome job!
The interview in a ballast tank below sea level is remarkable. Who else have done that? It should become famous.
Been there, done that
Your video is far better than any NatGeo or Discovery documentaries. Just love the way you presented everything.
Great tour. Thank you. Your cameraman did an excellent job.
Yes, without stabilizer. Hope to see him again.
The best video to tour a bulk carrier i have ever seen. I had been on board the bulk carriers many times, but I had never entered bunker space and engine room.

My brother is a seafarer. I can imagine how hard his work is. Hats off
Bulks are definetly the best type of ships to sail in as a supernumary. Did nine of those and had the most memorable time of my life!
I was like he's insanely knowledgeable. He's a captain.
Wonderful video that puts many professional productions to shame. Actual sailors giving accurate information for non-sailors. Thank you Captain Tymur and crew of the Motor Vessel Lady Charm.
Best tour of a cargo ship yet, very detailed and easy to understand. Thank you!!
So nice....i was here just 3months onboard...my company send me as a riding team leader...
This is my first time onboard in capesize vessel w/c my biggest ship for this time....
Special mention..Oiller joel siclon is my batchmate in college...
High quality video in every respect!
This is true!!! We are also trying now give to everybody hight resolution videos 👌 4k 30 / 60 fps

Interview of the engine crew is the best part! I like the humor. Really great video, good job!

I think i so old to be foreign going officer. This video make my spirit going up. Thank u capt.

It's very useful for young sailors to improve their knowledge about the bulk carrier..go ahead Capt ! Appreciate this
when a became real seafarer i wish that someday i could encounter a captain like you because you look so nice and humble sir.
You are really a hard worker , u have covered almost entire ship . Done really good job.
3rd engineer here, what an informative video! Never spent any time on bulk carriers they look very good
That was a very well explained ship video and I was a ship builder 30 years well done.
the very best explanatory video about bulk carriers (merchant ships) on the internet, probably there wont be any better than this.
One of the best videos i’ve seen about this kind of ship.
Very detailed ,showing many characteristics and parts of this fantastic vessel i was curious to know.
Thank you Capt. Tymur.
Very impressive and much respect to the whole crew. Thank you for this excursion. I would have never known how complex running a ship is.
I did enjoy your video so much! I used to be a sailor in a ship! It's a hard life being far from home. Greetings from Costa Rica...
I'd thought that on every ship seamen live inside the deck, I mean, under the main surface of the ship, but you opened my eyes little wider.
As Naval Architect, I love to see these videos. Thanks a lot, captain.
Greetings from Spain.
This was a perspective you don't normally get to see. Thanks for making this movie
Thank you, Captain. It was very interesting indeed. I hope you and your crew are safe and healthy in these uncertain times.
A really good presentation from the Captain, no bullshit, all facts and easily understood.
I am just a cadet in the proccess of learning, and this will help me for sure. All of the information you have provided in this video i already have learned in my school, but its always necessary to remember this. I love stability. Thanks cap
One of the best video I have watch about ships. You made it very simple for us to understand. Keep it up
Amazing content Captain Tymur. We need more videos like this one! Keep us the excellent work
Thank you Klearchos, I fly to Newmax now, hope to create more nice things.
No way I'm going down inspecting below sea wayyyyyyy down in the darkest holes of the ship........... You've got to have balls of steel
Big salute all safarers out there..specially to my hubby Godbless you all. Thank you for this video..My Engineer working for almost 28 yrs in ship😥
The second officer onboard was my classmate during college at Lyceum International Maritime Academy at Batangas city Philippines. Very nice video sir!! I also worked on capesize vessels as Third officer.

Wow- this has to be one of the best informative videos I've seen on utube - thank you Capt Tymur!
Wow, thanks for the tour, I'm subscribed. From an old Korean War sailor 4 years on a destroyer. I did love the sea.
Hi I'm 2nd year student taking Bachelor Science of Marine Transportation from the Philippines and this video make me excited to become a seafarer even if the life at sea is very hard. I promised to my self that someday I will become a Ship Captain. :)
Good luck, man.
I always wondered what these BIG SHIPS were like and now I know.
Amazing what we were allowed to see.
Great tour! All that was missing for me was the nationalities of the crew members. It intrigues me that a crew comes together from different cultures and then succeeds in working and living together for months at a time. It is an example that we would all do well to follow.
thank you. I see that ship anchoraged at HaLong Bay of Vietnam and standby loading coal cargo in bulk..
Thanks so much. Good day for you

Everything is ship shape

Thanks for sharing. In another life I would love to have been a merchant marine.
Really good video! I'm a Third Officer in a Dry Bulk Carrier as well... but it is a little (lot) older than this one. Really nice.
Thank you for the excellent video. It was very interesting seeing the vessel and meeting the crew.
Thank you for the tour. It is interesting to learn about how one of these big ships operate and who controls them. Safe sailing to you!
Thanks for showing us the ship in detail with description...
Refresh my old memories during my seafaring days. Ex-crew from world-wide shipping.

At first glance I read "capsized" bulk carrier. Thank you for the informative video!
Very interesting to see what large bulk carriers look today. In 1968 I was on the 72000 tonne Gallic Bridge( iron ore in the Pacific) and I suppose this is the modern equivalent. Job wise I suppose something good, somethings bad. Things don't change
Excellent video of a bulk carrier tour. No fanfare and quite technical. Pls post more, as a marine super you are priveged to access.
A very interesting film. Nicely shot and well presented. Thank you!

Seven and half foots for captain Tymur and him teams!
Big Ride for big SHIP!

To be a seaman was my dream job as a kid. Great video.
Well done Capt Tymur - nice coverage and for a just-retired ex-DPA like me nice visit to a good ship again! Kind regards Capt Mehran Wahid
11:05 all the fancy electronic instruments, and the backup device to monitor heeling is a plumb-bob (look at the right side of the window frame)
less electricity less problems
Around 02.48 the anchor was dropped on a small boat below in the sea. Nice demonstration. hahaha
Beautifully shoot and intelligently narrated.... Thumbs up to you and your Crew...
That was cool seeing inside the ballast tanks.
Thanks a lot for the insight. Excellent video quality.
Especially to show the absolute no go area for outsiders like the ballast tanks is interesting, well done.
Superb! Very very very good video and sound ! Great!
Greetings from Zagreb / Croatia
