- Does your soft-close cabinet door not closing softly and smoothly anymore? It's time to replace it. Those hinges break overtime from frequent use (opening and closing). Mine did. I saw a spring or metal snapped out of one of the hinges. Finally I got the time to replace it one Saturday morning. I'm sharing with you my experience of replacing it. It is actually one of the easy DIYs I did.

thanks for the video. For me the door do not close on one side completely, it stops a cm from closing all the way. Do you know which screw to adjust if even possible?
The outer screw is for the horizontal alignment. For Right side, rotate counter clockwise to adjust away from the other door. It might be clockwise for the left side. But it is the same screw closer to the door (outer). Good luck.

BTW, what brand of hinges is that? My kitchen cabinet hinges are all slowly going bad, and they look exactly like the model in your video, so I need to look for replacements
It came with the cabinet. I used the spare one. I looked if there’s a name somewhere. I can only see an etched ‘R’ without the vertical line.

Yeah, those hinges are hard to repair. Mine has a broken spring. There are available soft-locking hinges in HD or Lowes, or even Amazon. As long as the size and orientation fits, you can go with any brand.
