    I know of one who is going to sell his Wolf and after watching this video I think that I will go for it. I do like the shape of the blade and that the edge is all belly. Good review of a great knife. Thanks.

      Oh man, thank you so much for watching Aaron. This is one of the best designed knives for the outdoors I have ever seen. It's so great to talk to you. Finding one is nearly impossible but I was keeping up with this knife from the beginning and finally got it. I just wish my channel was bigger to so I could show it to more people. I do mostly slingshot stuff but do a lot of knife stuff too. Thanks again brother, your awesome 👊🏻

    I think the heavy belly on that one helps it to carve feathers well because it gives a bit more drag as you near the tip

    • @ChuckinSteel
      @ChuckinSteel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah no doubt, I think the drag could be me just not being use to feathering with a 6.5 inch blade idk. I figured when I bought it that it would take some getting use too bc of the belly but after 1 or 2 cuts I pretty much had the hang of it. Thanks for watching and commenting 👊

    How is the edge retention.. I have my eye on One..I have a few blades mostly William Collins which are beasts and hold a edge great.. but this one has me intrigued..you used it perfectly I don't baton either unless really needed to 🤔 then I'll make a wedge .. keep me updated in edge retention when you can. Love the slingshot vids..I'm trying to get into it also but not to good of a shot yet lol..

    • @ChuckinSteel
      @ChuckinSteel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks brother 👊 Man the edge retention is fantastic the best 1095 edge retention iv seen. All my Tops Knives in 1095 actually kinda blow the mind on retention. My esee's don't hold up quite as good but they do well too. I'm glad to hear you enjoy the vids and I hope you get into them, they're a lot of fun. It just takes time to learn and thank you again 🙏

    I am in the market for a bigger camp fight that hope could still help in processing game. I feel the peer pressure to buy a more "traditional" knife like an ESEE 6 but I keep watching the videos on the Brush Wolf and I think I'm sold. Is there any negative to this knife over something similar to an ESEE 6?

    • @ChuckinSteel
      @ChuckinSteel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The knife is a real do all knife, as far as negatives, would be maybe the saw if you wouldn't ever use it but I really like it myself. I love the handle as well but I seen 2 videos where they said the handle felt to thin for their hands. I think the handle is one of the best parts bc it gives you so many different holds. When it comes down to it, It's almost thr perfect camp knife all day ever day but if I was going to do more skinning than everything else I would go with something like camp creek or camp creek fire addiction. Hope this helps. It's probably my favorite production knife.

    • @4570sharps
      @4570sharps 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ChuckinSteel I absolutely want the Camp Creek. But personally I like to baton the paws/feet and head off small game, make one long incision and pull the skin off. I would have the Camp Creek for skinning-out deer. Another detail about the saw, any campfire cooking with pots and coffee brewing that have a steel wire handle for hanging over fires etc., You can use the Brush Wolf saw teeth the grab those wire handles and lift it over or off of the fire without burning yourself.
      I'm definitely buying it. Thanks for the video!

      Yes sir, did you see how it went through that sapling. That one pc was about 3/4 the size of my wrist and it chopped through it with 1 swing only left a tiny bit of bark I had to cut. It's only a 6.5 inch blade but man it out works anything iv ever used in this size
