Can confirm that unfortunately it’s the norm to get abuse (verbal and physical) in my job in the NHS. Aside from verbal abuse, I’ve been spat at, had multiple things thrown at me - including a bowl of soup, been threatened with st*bbing, and had abusive voicemails left on my phone. People are an acquired taste.

You do get negative feedback and constructive criticism in "normal jobs" though. The difference being, if you react to that by calling the person paying you "a hater" and ignoring them, you don't continue to progress in your career. I do think it's sad that so many people have left unkind messages to you that you find it hard to see through them to take constructive messages from genuine fans for what it is though. I can understand that to a degree you've had to build up a resistance to comments that hurt your feelings, but even well intentioned messages from long term viewers who aren't vibing as much with your new content are dismissed as "hate". I know you've said you don't care that your views and subscribers are declining, but I do think there is a connection there between that happening and the skin you've developed being so thick you think anyone who isn't positively supporting you is just being mean. People can leave thoughtful, negative feedback with kindness which to be honest is a lot more than you would get in a typical office job. What you also don't get in a typical office job is enough money to buy the kind of house you live in or the amount of positive feedback you also do get a lot of.
@@fwogsrule3-su3ws Mortgages still cost money my babe, and this mortage costs money that people in "normal jobs" who do in fact get "negative feedback" they don't have the privilege of ignoring can't afford. I don't really understand your latter point. Why is it okay for them to take positive feedback as it stands but kind hearted constructive feedback should be ignored? Because I've seen very well written, very kind comments here that particularly you seem to take issue with. You have a very black and white way of thinking.

I guess the issue here is when you are effectively anonymous/a screen-name it's hard to interpret tone etc, even if one thinks one is being "constructive". Also they are making a vblog for entertainment, is it not enough for it remain like that?
Whilst i understand the point you are making, at work I know the people who are giving me feedback so i am able to deal with it appropriately. However, my feedback generally doesn't result in name calling or asking odd/awkward questions or getting annoyed about ads, or being called fat?? If that happened where I work, HR would get involved....they can't do that here....
I think the point of this video was to outline some of the less nice "feedback/criticism" being left - that's my view anyway, as over simplistic as it maybe.
@@nicolarowley3956 I think there is nuance there. Rose and Rosie shouldn’t have to endure personal comments about their appearance or lifestyle. The constructive feedback is more related to the ads and sponsorship and their responsibility in that, and how their attitudes towards their fans have changed. They do however also take issue with this feedback on their ads etc because they referenced it in this video. Unfortunately, putting yourself in the public eye and particularly in an ‘exchange’ relationship with the public (i.e. I’ll give you content, you give me engagement and money) does leave you open to criticism. Creators with a platform of their size have a great deal of responsibility in how they use this and they should be able to hear genuine criticism from long term fans over the noise but they label it all as “hate” and ignore it. It only enhances the point that they care about their fans only as a collective of customers and consumers, and not as individuals with opinions. That’s not necessarily ‘wrong’ in today’s society, as long as everyone is on the same page about their role in this transactional ‘relationship’ and some of their fans aren’t. Some fans continue to be under the illusion that Rose and Rosie see them as ‘friends’ and because of this will be worried to criticise through fear of losing a ‘friend’ in Rose and Rosie. No person and especially no influencer with a platform is immune to criticism. You’re absolutely right though, some comments are needlessly personal and entirely uncalled for.

I just looked and I subscribe to 44 channels. Of those 44, I have travel, diy, satire/entertainment, advocates, gaming, political, and asmr channels. 6 of those have full time sponsors, 13 channels have various sponsors but every video is sponsored, 22 have some sponsored videos (more sponsored than not), 2 are edits of twitch streams, which are sponsored on twitch by multiple sponsors, and 1 channel is completely unsponsored as it is a friends personal channel about traveling. YT has changed over the years and content creators have had to change with the times. I don’t understand why people don’t just move on if they don’t like it. Just unsubscribe. I’ve done it when the channel doesn’t meet my needs anymore. And yes I understand that only people who are hateful leave hateful comments but that’s no excuse for being cruel or a bully. Calling someone fat or saying they don’t love their child is not productive, just mean. Also my screen time is 3 hrs 23 minutes a day but I do listen to white noise while working when my coworkers annoy me. 😂
