Rose, for your hands, surgeons can have your condition esp in winter from repeated hand scrubbing; fissures, extreme dryness & even bleeding. Before next case OR tech would pour mineral oil on cupped surgeons hands who then spreads it around, then still dripping mineral oil slides hands into surgical glove held open by tech. Oil would be absorbed and skin improved by end of case. At home over the counter pharmacy grade mineral oil (very pure) can be used the same way. Any available gloves like nitrile, latex, vinyl will do, I’d recommend nitrile. Someone (Rosie?)just needs to hold open the glove while you insert your dripping wet hands into them. You’ll note within an hour or so the oil is absorbed. Wishing you the best
