Now the current system you have like 3-4 hedge funds controlling big clubs and big leagues.
The recent Qatar WC team did better than that golden gen side. The golden gen side were serial underachievers, outside of Cahill. The rest were great at club level but NEVER did it for country. Their Asian cup was horrible. (Took shelving a lot of the golden gen and bringing in young guys to win the next Asian cup) Should have beaten Italy who were a man down. Then coasted past Ukraine and who knows from there!!! WC champs? 😂 We beat Tunisia and a lot of peoples dark horse, coming off a euros where they made the semis in Denmark. Lost out again to the eventual champions Argentina. But had serious chances and weren’t a man down either. The golden generation, won one game!!! Tho I must admit, seeing Croatia go out, with that traitor siminic, an Australian born and raised player(in a position we were desperate for) all the way thru the AIS system onto professional, by the team he should have represented, was VERY gratifying.
Tbh, I blame Arnold for that Asian cup disaster. They did zero conditioning in that region and fell straight into playing in 90% humidity with 40 deg temps. They were serial underachievers but that squad would’ve rolled the Qatar team with ease.

When it’s a theory, I can be active (and challenge & refine his ideas to something that’s more ‘me’), whereas just providing answers could make one lazily passive (for those who just took his specific takes and bought what he was talking about).
I use those early videos to create MY approach to card/player research that guide MY purchases.
It’s actually pretty easy. Let sports history do that for you.
The theory stuff is cool. Curator was the same in that regard.
Thanks for the video. 👍
Thanks for watching!
Geoff's tone always sounds fake and disingenuous. TPott is informative tho. I will say their Card HQ store looks super innovative and cool.
Yeah the store looks amazing and so are their interviews. It’s just the way they present the investment side of things that’s incredibly cringe, disingenuous and inaccurate
@@DanTheCardMan2 totally agree. Love your perspective man
"Pivot!"
I supported Aussie in that game but it was a defo penalty unfortunately although a stupid/soft pne
Definitely not a penalty! Would 100% get overturned with VAR :D
. I'm pretty sure they know weeks , months, years in advance, Dan. Keeping their subscribers lured into remaining relevant during sluggish performance times by their "hand-selected" diva's. Just like any other media stunt, some creator's/breakers will keep you on a steady diet of a slow feed to keep the babes spellbound on the shine of the old Rhinestone.
😂😂
This guy's depressing
👀
Ever hear the age old saying, the truth hurts? Well… that’s all this is.
@BobbyHayes-b9f If this guys depressing, why are you watching the videos 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
@zacrazyone depression turns me on makes me wantbto rub stone ground mustard all over my neck n chest
You called them out when they didnt do this, so now they are more transparent are doing it and its a laughable thing?
That’s a surface level criticism of me. This is not transparent from them. Whilst it’s great they are talking about this, many are doing it through the lenses of ignorance and as if they weren’t doing the opposite years ago. They’re presenting as if if they’ve always had the answers.
That was a Penalty Forza Italia Forza Fabio Grosso 1934 1938 1982 2006 :)
🤮 such a soft penalty. VAR would over turn it today
@@DanTheCardMan2 outside the 94 team with Madlini and Baggio that 2006 team was the best I ever saw play, the Amount of talent on that team will never be replicated today. Even the Coach Lippi was a Legend.
Was depressing as an Australian. Italy a man down and we conceded a pen in the dying stages of normal time. Could have well gone on to win that in extra time. Then would have played Ukraine in the next round, where we could have beaten that side and who knows from there!!! Could we have seen Australia winning the WC!??! 😂 never know because of Lucas Neil going to ground for a challenge inside the BOX! Wasn’t even a challenge that needed to be made, no real threat of a goal!! Haunts me to this day
@@annony1annony191the current side is gun. May not be as well known in terms of name appeal of the players but they look unbelievable atm
@@Dylan_the_damned Serie A was the best up until 2010 it's been downhill since, I enjoyed watching it when It strictly only Italians in the league and no foreigners or they had restrictions on them, So Serie A was Peak in the 1990s Basically. The same goes for EPL/Division 1 pre 1992 when it was 90% British players in the league and they had restrictions on foreigners, It's just not the same any more money and globalization make the domestic leagues and national teams not feel the same.
WC champs? 😂
We beat Tunisia and a lot of peoples dark horse, coming off a euros where they made the semis in Denmark.
Haha and he’s Siminic is a disgrace. Let’s not forget his 3 yellow cards before seeing red!!!
@@DanTheCardMan2 how good is Goodwin btw, a Brett Holman REGEN 😂 pity he didn’t really try crack Europe - think he could of had a decent career in the Netherlands or Germany.
We need to bring back the AIS scholarships to imo. No where for talented kids to really go, study and train and play decent level football. Instead we fund shit sports like swimming and Olympic sports 😪
To be honest I criticize Geoff excessively on his videos directly and many other pages. He always came off as a bit of a shady slimy car salesman and manipulator that only cares about himself financially. That being said I see nothing wrong with him eating crow in his recent videos and if anything appreciate it. He did a separate video recently of his biggest prediction failures as well. It’s kinda sad that you’re calling that out as I really like your videos but this just comes off as whining. He was wrong 4 years ago and is admitting it? Is that flip flopping? Or just being humble and admitting that you weren’t right 100% of the time? I get and agree on 99% of your videos against him but this just kinda comes off as whining and hating on him when for once it’s not deserved in my opinion.
