And yet Most catholics/Christians who wear the cross have no clue what it truly means. There are sadly too many lukewarm believers who are ignorant on the fullness of God's Word

I’m thinking that wearing a physical symbol has nothing to do with your genuine loyalties to the thing that symbol represents. True loyalty is evident from the heart, and the people who dress up the most (example: pharisees) are likely the furthest from having the loyal heart.

There's no air in hell...because God is a breath of life.
There is no peace in hell...because God is the prince of peace.
There is no comfort (including Ray 😇) in hell...because God is the comforter.
There is no love in hell...because God is love.
Hell is darkness...because God is the light.
You don't have to go there!
But there is only one way to escape it, and that is through salvation in the name of Jesus Christ.

Please do some research. Look up NDE medically verified hell testimonies.
Eternity is literally too long to be wrong.
Why is heaven eternal? Why is hell eternal? Because God is eternal. Literally.
This human experience is God creating a loving, eternal family for Himself. It’s all about God. God created everything, and created many things for us. His roof, His rules. It’s actually that simple.🙏🥰

No demon can possess the body of a true believer because a true believer has the Holy Spirit dwelling within them. The Holy Spirit and a demon cannot both occupy a human body simultaneously. [1 Corinthians 3:16] Do you really believe that God would reside with a demon in the human vessel? I’m sorry to hear that you have felt suicidal, but I’m just informing you of what the Bible actually teaches. Of course, there is nothing wrong with prayer and fasting.

I use Susan J. Heck's devotionals. She really encourages memorizing scripture. Right now, I'm working on 1 Timothy. But this video title is unnerving. I know that some people are given demonic thoughts about hurting themselves or hurting others, but other people do suffer from mental illness. I will say that since I've been saved, I don't let them bother me. I try not to let them take my joy. I ask for peace and say a prayer, giving it to Jesus. Like Elisabeth Elliot said, sometimes your only gift is to lay it at Jesus' feet.

Memorize scripture, prayer before, during and after it happens, rebuking in Jesus name, and all your free time fill it with godly things, reading, sharing gospel, giving out tracts, christian podcast, etc. My intrusive thoughts were lust , even though I didn't want to have them, then I started doing these things , which helped immensely. God bless.

God has allowed this in your life for the time being. Prayer is a good idea.
Also your mental health may be bad, perhaps try fixing your diet if you eat processed foods and white grains etc, switch to the food that God designed, whole natural foods and whole grains. Get rid of sugar eat only fruit and honey. Your mind may be telling you something is off health wise. Also Saint John’s wort or saffron or other herbs may help with depression

I suffered from various kind of intrusive thoughts for around 2 years. Some were deeply disturbing but I just cowered from them because I didn't want to acknowledge them. Though I knew they were false, I still just ingored and lived with them. But they still plagued me. They started at a time where I was a lost sheep and then found again, and as I've been growing in faith and maturing in my walk with the Lord, I finally found the courage to confront them. The demon attacking me from the spiritual realm never expected me to actually shine a light on them! I was at work and I'm not even kidding. I actually felt the demon flee, and I felt spiritually lighter in that moment and happier and free Hallelujah. If you are suffering from intrusive thoughts, remember Psalm 23. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Confront that demon with authority and it will flee.

It boggles me when I see people wearing a crucifix yet know nothing about what that cross they so openly display means. Its sadly cultural catholicism and is empty faith. I think its a great springboard for sharing the gospel with these people, simply asking what the cross they are wearing means to them? Then we can lovingly inform them.

Ray, something that will always puzzle me is our free will vs. predestination. It is said that the lamb was slain before the foundation of the earth. Could it be that in order for that to happen, God actually appointed judas to take the fall? Yes, judas freely chose to betray Jesus, but on the same token, how would God have fulfilled His plan without it? I once asked a pastor, "Couldn't our ability to choose offset the plan?. Could it be that God spared judas from hell because it was part of God's plan to begin with?

It is true according to Ephesians. God has predestined who will enter heaven and who will not. There is a misconception of what free will actually is. It is the freedom to do what compels you. It doesn’t mean that you orchestrate the cause of your intent. God has set in place the compulsions in a sense of want or a sense of restraint born out of caution or fear that are independent of your intent where your intent is the end product. This seems to go against the claim that god is not willing that any should parish ,when God has predestined the vast majority to everlasting suffering.

Ray, can I ask for your advice? I've been evangelizing for about 4 months now via commenting on YT. This is what I comment to people:
Name, I know this is long, but PLEASE READ THIS! There's a bottom line down below if you want to just read that. (Something personal) I want to say something. I don't know what you think about the afterlife, but I know that if we've lied, stolen, used God's name as a swear word, (eg. OMG), looked at someone with lust, we're going to go to hell. That breaks my heart, I don't want you to go to hell! God is paying us in death for our sins. He's giving us the death sentence! STAY WITH ME, PLEASE! 😊 But there IS a way to find everlasting life! Please listen! The 10 commandments are called the moral law. You and I broke the law. Jesus paid the fine! THAT'S what happened on that cross! If you're in court and you have speeding fines, a judge will legally let you go if someone paid your fine. God can legally take the death sentence off you! Because of what Jesus did on the cross! He rose from the dead and DEFEATED death! All you have to do to find everlasting life is repent of your sins, turn away from them, and say, "God, I am sorry for my sins!" And trust and put your faith in Jesus! Don't trust your goodness to save you, God PROMISES, and he CANNOT lie, He'll forgive you in an INSTANT and grant you everlasting life as a free gift! Not because YOU'RE good, but because HE'S good, kind, and merciful! 😃
Bottom line: Repent of your sins, and TRUST and put your FAITH in Jesus! 😁
If you have any questions, PLEASE let me know, and I will answer them! (Something personal)
You might recognize it! 😉😆 What do you think about it? Should I add something? Subtract something? Replace something with something else? I'd love your advice! 😃 Love you, Ray!

I'm confused. Salvation is a free gift from God. And yet, Catholicism is called out as a works based salvation but Ray is telling non-believers to turn away from sins first before believing in Jesus's finished work at the cross for salvation? Where did Jesus or His disciples tell people to give up their sins before believing in Christ? Repent in Greek means "change of mind" (metanoia). The primary audience in the Gospels are Jews. They did not believe Jesus was the Messiah. They needed to change their mind from unbelief to belief. How was Peter able to lead 3,000 people to baptism?
Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. Acts 2:41
The Gospel is simple: to believe in Jesus’s death, burial and resurrection and receive eternal life. No one has the ability to turn away from every sin. Sin is sin, willful or through omission. That's why we need a Savior. He gives believers righteousness upon belief. Stop frontloading the Gospel with flithy works to get salvation. We are powerless to crucify our own sins. That's why we need Jesus to pay our penalty for sins.

Repentance means to TURN AWAY from sin:
In Acts 20:21, repentance is defined as turning from sin and turning to God.
      biblical-christianity.com/what-is-the-biblical-definition-of-repentance
“Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: Repent and TURN AWAY from your idols, and TURN AWAY your faces from all your abominations.” (Ezekiel 14:6)
“But if the wicked will TURN FROM ALL HIS SINS that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.” (Ezekiel 18:21-22)
“Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to TURN FROM HIS WAY, and he does not TURN FROM HIS WAY, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.” (Ezekiel 33:9)
“Repent therefore, and TURN AGAIN, that your sins may be blotted out...” (Acts 3:19)
“Let every one that nameth the name of Christ DEPART FROM INIQUITY.” (2 Timothy 2:19)
“LET THE WICKED FORSAKE HIS WAY, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” (Isaiah 55:7)
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” ( 2 Chronicles 7:14)
“He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever CONFESSES AND FORSAKES THEM will have mercy.” (Proverbs 28:13)
The Apostle Paul preached repentance and then faith (note: repentance first):
”Testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of REPENTANCE TOWARDS GOD and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Acts 20:21)
Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; REPENT AND BELIEVE IN THE GOSPEL.” (Mark 1:15)
“Then He said to them, ‘Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, AND THAT REPENTANCE AND REMISSION OF SINS SHOULD BE PREACHED in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.’” (Luke 24:46-47, emphasis added).
“Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a FOUNDATION OF REPENTANCE FROM DEAD WORKS and of faith toward God.” Hebrews 6:1
God Himself commands sinners to repent:
”The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands ALL PEOPLE EVERYWHERE TO REPENT...” (Acts 17:30)
      John the Baptist preached repentance:
”REPENT, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 3:2)
      Peter preached repentance:
”REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:38)
It’s God’s will that sinners repent:
”The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that ALL SHOULD COME TO REPENTANCE.” (2 Peter 3:9)
Repentance means to willfully sin no more:
Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. SIN NO MORE, lest a worse thing come upon you.” (John 5:14)
“...let him know that HE WHO TURNS A SINNER FROM THE ERROR OF HIS WAY will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins” (James 5:20, emphasis added).
Jesus said that the angels rejoice when one sinner repents:
“Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God OVER ONE SINNER WHO REPENTS” (Luke 15:10).
“When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, ‘Then God has also granted to the Gentiles REPENTANCE UNTO LIFE’” (Acts 11:18).
“And Jesus said to her, ‘Neither do I condemn you; GO AND SIN NO MORE.’” (John 8:11)
Those who say that sinners are saved by believing are preaching a works salvation, saying sinners have to DO something to be saved. They have to “believe.” The Bible doesn’t say we are saved BY faith, but THROUGH faith. Grace alone saves us through faith:
”For by grace you have been saved THROUGH faith, and that NOT OF YOURSELVES; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9, emphasis added).
If you believe in Jesus, but you’ve never repented of your sins, you have more than likely had a false conversion. You will be part of the great multitude who call out to Jesus “Lord Lord,” and he will say to you “depart from me you worker of lawlessness (sin), I never knew you.” Those who work lawlessness are those who believe, but are strangers to repentance.

      @@raycomfortjustwitnessing
The Old Testament saints were just as incapable of following the Ten Commandments as we are today. God provided them with the Law and recognized they would constantly break it. For this reason, He also provided them with an elaborate sacrificial system (to remind them of their shortcomings and the penalty for their continuing sin) and the promise of a Savior. The Old Testament saints were not saved by their adherence to the Law. They were saved by the grace of God through their faith in the Savior, even though this Savior was only a promise at the time.
David wrote about God’s forgiveness and grace (Psalm 32:1-5). Paul told us that David understood that “God reckons righteousness apart from works” (Romans 4:6-8). All the Old Testament heroes of faith recognized their good works could not save them (read Hebrews 11:13). None of the OT heroes repented so that they could be saved; they had faith that was accounted as righteousness.
Those who understood and accepted the truth about grace and the coming Messiah were saved on the basis of their faith. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and not that of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast. (Turning away from all your sins is reason for boasting.)
The New Testament was written in Greek. Metanoia or repent, means “change of mind.” The Jews in the NT were already living by the law and tied to a sacrificial system for the forgiveness of sins. They needed to change their mind, believe in the Christ as the Messiah, the only one who was and is capable of giving us remission of sins through grace alone, faith alone, Christ alone. You are taking the spotlight off of Christ and putting it onto people who are being asked to turn away from all their sins. Impossible. You are asking many to clean-up their act before coming to a Savior and believing in His finished redemptive work at the cross. Even the Pharisees met this righteously imposed demand you preach; their problem was that they did not believe.
But to Him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works: Blessed are those whose lawless are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin. Rom 4:5-7
The Gospel is believing in Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. 1Cor 15:1-4. Phillip did not ask the Ethiopian to repent in his message to the Ethiopian. Phillip said, “if you believe with all your heart, you may.” And the Ethiopian responded, “I believe that Jesus is the Son of God.” Acts 8:33 Because the Ethiopian believed, his faith was accounted for righteousness. He RECEIVES remission of sins because he would have been in Christ once he believed in Jesus Christ as the Son of God.
The jailer asked Paul and Silas, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Acts 16:25-40
Our repentance does not reconcile us to a Holy God. CHRIST DOES. It’s through FAITH in what Christ did at the cross that reconcile wretched sinners to the Father. Your spotlight is on one’s repentance and not on the finished work of the cross. God says our righteousness is like filthy rags. Isa 64:6 How can we perfectly repent and turn away from all our sins if we have a Savior who already paid our penalty for sin? No one can. If you truly believe your repentance met the righteous demands of God, then you don’t understand why Christ died for your sins. The object of your faith is not Christ; the object of your faith is how well you repented prior to approaching the cross.

... not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Tit 3:5-7

The author of that article is adding sins to the end of "change of mind." Many, many churches are using a modern day English translation to apply to a Greek and Hebrew definition of repent. The Bible never teaches that one must repent of their sins to be saved. The actual phrase "repent of your sins" never occurs in scripture, not even once.
God repented 39 times in the Bible. What sins did He need to repent from?
The Old Testament was written in Hebrew. Repent in Hebrew means regret, remorse, grieve, change of mind.
And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. Gen 6:7 (God regretted, He grieved; He had remorse for creating man.)
It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night. 1Sam 15:11
And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt. Exo 13:7
For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left. Deu 32:36
Even Moses asked God to repent or change His mind about His fierce wrath against His people:
Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people. Exo 32:12
Keep the definitions of repentance consistent throughout scripture. Scripture defends scripture and you can't substitute an English modern day interpretation of the word repent and make it work consistently throughout the Bible.
You keep referencing old testament passages and applying them to the New Convenant. The OT figures were saved by faith and believing in a Messiah that was a promise during their time.
By the way, willful sin is no different than sin. Period. I see so many "repent or go to hell" preachers say the phrase "willful sin." Does this mean that the sins of omission don't count or does all sins have to be repented (according to what you believe) before one can believe in Christ's finished work for salvation?
So why does the Book of John have over 90 mentions of the word believe? Belief is not enough even though God commands us to believe in His Son?
And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment. 1John 3:23
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18
He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. John 3:36
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. Jon 5:24
And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:40
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. John 10:1.
I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. John 10:9
So repentance becomes a fee before one can enter the door and salvation is no longer a gift of God; salvation is conditional upon one repenting first, THEN one can be saved? Salvation is NOT conditional. Belief and faith in Christ's death, burial and resurrection is how one obtains righteousness and receives salvation.

What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. Rom 4:1-4
Clearly this passage does not teach that belief is a work.

That is a very wrong definition of catholicism. Catholics believe what Jesus said, that in order to get to God, the only way is through Him, by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is done by the Sacraments that He Himself established. Catholics do not “do” the Sacraments, they are imposed by the priests thanks to the grace that Christ has given to them.
In a summary, catholics do not believe that their actions can lead them to heaven, what you say is the opposite and is very misleading. Sorry

Just to inform: you are not an adulterer if you have had THOUGHTS of lust towards someone; no more than you are a thief for having THOUGHTS of stealing something. Jesus did indeed say that “whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart,” but obviously God does not judge a THOUGHT and an ACTION as the same sin, else I’m quite certain that none of the Israelites would have inherited the Promised Land. Jesus was just making a point that it is wrong to have thoughts of lust toward a person who is married. For example, if two people are dating, it's not a sin to have thoughts of being intimate with each other one day - it’s a natural human desire, and God ordained for a man and woman to be together - however, if a person had thoughts of being intimate with someone who was already married, that would indeed be a sin. Jesus did not say whoever looks at a woman with lust commits FORNICATION with them in their heart but rather commits ADULTERY with them in their heart, and there is obviously a difference between the two. In the preceding verse to when Jesus spoke of “committing adultery in the heart,” he had said that “Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery;” in other words, he is addressing that SPECIFIC commandment which forbids sexual relations involving MARRIED individuals.
Marriage is a covenant between God, man and a woman, and hence why adultery is such a serious sin and one of the Ten Commandments. In the Old Testament, for example, God tells us that if anyone is caught in the act of adultery, that they should be put to death [Leviticus 20:10], which shows the severity of this particular sin. Contrast that with Exodus 22:16, where God tell us that “if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her (fornication), he shall surely endow her to be his wife.”
Notice that there is a DISTINCTION between adultery and fornication, with only the former invoking a sentence of death. However, we must not take this as a licence to fornicate because God does indeed tell us that if an unmarried man does have sexual relations with an unmarried woman, that they should then be married. What we have here is a HOLINESS issue. God wants us to be holy because He is holy [Leviticus 19:2].
In closing, we, as Christians, should take care not to be so critical and judgmental of other people and to not scream HELL and DAMNATION, just because a person may have had a THOUGHT of being intimate with someone, for example. We are but “dust” from the ground, as the Bible says [Psalm 103:14], and Jesus Himself came not to condemn but to save [John 3:17].

I’ve wondered how anyone can ever find a wife in the first place without committing the sin of being an adulterer at heart. I’ve been divorced for four years now since my wife left me and lust is something I have struggled with being all alone but the way Ray talks about this makes it more complicated for me.

Jesus defines what adultery is. He did not say that every married man looks at a strange woman, or everyone who looks at a married woman, but he said that everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Thus, Jesus sets the standard higher than we would like. We cannot keep his commandments by our own strength, but only when we are honest with ourselves and repent and then trust in him, then we receive his power through his spirit in us.

@@jn656 yes I agree that we cannot win this battle alone, but Jesus did mention the word “adultery” not “fornication.” In order for someone to commit “adultery” then at least one of the person’s would have to be married. The definition of “adultery” is having relations between married people and with a person who is not his or her spouse.

Yes, I just don’t like it when Ray Comfort basically accuses everyone of being adulterers, just because they may have had a “thought” of lust toward someone. Obviously there is a difference between the “thought” of doing something than the actual “act” of doing something, and it’s just unfair for evangelisers to be so critical and judgemental of people. After all, we are just dust from the ground, as the Bible says.

@@manofgod1910 Who says? The Bible or people? We deduce this from our logic, but Jesus is not interested in our logic. As I understand it, Jesus is making it clear that anyone who has sex outside of marriage or looks lustfully is already an adulterer. You ask: But why is there still a distinction between adulterer and fornication? There is, for example: Jude 1:7 how Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns, which in the same way committed fornication and ran after strange flesh, are an example by suffering the punishment of eternal fire.
To put it simply: Everything that is not sex between a man and a woman cannot be associated with marriage at all, but unfortunately there are many possibilities, as the word sodomy shows.
As I said. Jesus determines what adultery is, not us!
Apart from that, it still doesn't matter whether you go to hell as an adulterer or as a fornicator. However, as Christians, we should fight with all our might to be neither one nor the other. May God grant us his grace to do so!

Catholics don’t believe that our eternity is earned. You are wrong. But it is written that we should do good works all through the New Testament and that we will be judged by our works. We have a lot of faith, and that is a gift from the Holy Spirit. In Catholicism we are encouraged to visit the sick, feed the hungry and all the other things mentioned in the Bible. I say to you and to others go to a Catholic mass and see that it is Holy and biblical. Why do you hate and judge us? I have experienced the power of the Father Son and Holy Spirit, I’ve been healed so many times I lost count while I was by myself, I’ve had many visions, Jesus has appeared to me, Melchizedek has appeared to me, mother Mary has protected my from the evil one, my sins were washed clean, twice, from my head to my toes whilst I was in confession at 8years old (like an icy cold, pure, clean waterfall came down on me), and so much more. The Catholic Church is stressing for the need of works that accompany faith. This is what we do. We should not just sit around and say that we have faith. But what we are taught is to get out and let the light of Christ shine through us in all we do. So we have our traditions to help us fulfil this belief. True Catholic hearts are always on the go. We are soft and gentle, but have a strength inside of us, the strength of Jesus. In tough times we get through by the grace of God through Jesus Christ.
      James 2:14-20
14What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food,16and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?17So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.18But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.19You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe-and shudder!20Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?
To come close to Christ Jesus we need to trust, pray, and submit to Him. The rest He will guide us with and help us.
