Thank you for sharing Anna! I grew up with non religious Buddhist parents and grew up as a nihilistic atheist and spent most of my life just living for the world. It just felt so empty and purposeless and I questioned why I was in the world in the first place.
I prayed for closure for a death in a family and in a drug induced psychosis encountered “the astral spirit from church God heaven kingdom come” in some sort of 4th dimensional higher realm and he told me a lot of amazing things about loving myself and living life and he told me that some Christians have used religion to be ignorant, hate on others and I should read scripture with the actual message as love and kindness is the most powerful thing. I understood him to be the spirit of the “Teacher of Humanity” and that’s when I explored Buddhism and New Age and I kept feeling empty trying to figure out who this spirit was.
There were too many coincidences in my life that kept pointing to the “Christian” God and I kept rejecting Christianity for the same reasons you mentioned - the Bible bashing ignorant church condemning people until I actually started reading the Bible and things in my life started making sense.
I finally accepted Jesus in my life and got baptised because I truly believe that as followers of Christ - it’s not about attaching to a religion, it’s about having a personal relationship with God and being the person God created you to be - following the example of Jesus Christ in unconditional love.
I’ve come to realise that no matter what we believe in, we are just as broken as each other and there is no need to put others or religion between God - and our own validation comes from ourselves and seeking our own truth.
The most beautiful thing is that Jesus accepts us no matter who we are, we don’t have to be holy to let him be in our life - he just wants to be in our life as we are - we are all beautiful characters created by God for his story and our lives are part of his grander story and he uses each of us in different ways - we aren’t here to conform to the world’s standards but to live the story he created for us. And it’s all about us just letting the Holy Spirit transform us and guide us to be better people and live with purpose.
Christianity is not just about knowing the Christian faith, but also living the values as well as some Christians seem to miss the biggest point of all “love the enemy and love the neighbour” and think they can condemn people.
I’m blessed to have found a church where we all are on our own journeys to be more Christ-like and uplift each other. I’ll be praying that you will find yours too!
    Much love!
    Martin

thank you so much for your honesty. Ill be praying for you as you continue to love God and learn how to love others. I've been at my church since high school (i'm mid twenties now) and i remember wanting to leave my church and all my responsibilties in it. God kept there and he showed me to love my church family. Weve been through so many hurt and joys together. It hurts the hardest when a brother/sister in Christ hurts you or your family. but the beauty is found when we love as christ loved us. "while we were yet sinners, God loved us and sent his son for us". I had to learn to forgive.
I'll be honest that if you'd come to mine it might not be the best preaching or anything like that. But I encourage you to join the young adult group where you learn alongside people your age. Many members of our adult group dont join us on Sundays and are part of different churches and even different faiths. But I love the variety of conversations that we have :)

Thank you so much for sharing, Anna. I really hope you can find the kind of church community that you're looking for, although I suspect it may be hard to find. Like you said with the bible "being mistranslated but it's the best you have", church communities can often be a "well, it's 70% of what I want, so maybe that's good enough." It will come down to the people and the pastor most of all, I think, and whether you feel like you click there. And certainly, just because you choose a church now doesn't mean you can't change it again later. Have a wonderful day!

I’d recommend visiting some local churches and “church shop” so to speak. Read into their mission statements and values, do your research. I truly believe the community you desire is so within your grasp! God will provide. I also encourage you to hold onto the fact that your faith is about a relationship with God and how your life reflects that of Jesus. Unfortunately church issues are rampant, but while the people of the church may be imperfect and flawed, God is not. You’re in my prayers that you will find exactly what you’re looking for 💕

Thank you for sharing your testimony! It encourages so many of us and I believe it encourages you too. Praise Jesus for bringing you through.
I would like to assure you that the Bible has not been vastly translated that it does not appear to be similar to the original text. We do have over 25,000 copies of manuscripts (some are whole, some are fragments) and textual criticism to analyze what the originals said. We also have discoveries such as the dead sea scrolls and Tel Dan to back up the credibility of the Bible. I recommend watching Mike Winger's series on evidence for the Bible.

Thanks so much for sharing. Love it!
And my contribution to His cause …
WHAT EVERYONE DESERVES TO KNOW ABOUT HEAVEN:
Jesus Christ destroyed the barrier of sin between God and mankind at the cross so we can have peace with Him and have assurance we’ll make it to heaven.

WHY WOULD HE DO THAT? The Bible (God's only trustworthy Word for the human race) tells us: All of us were born with an unrighteous sinful nature. We inherited it spiritually from Adam and Eve, the first two created people, because of their disobedience to God by giving into the devil's deceiving temptation. Why would the devil do such a thing anyway? Because he hates God! The devil wants no one enjoying intimate, joyous relationship with God. He once had it yet lost it, and now wants no one else having it either.

God is so holy - so righteous - so pure … that He cannot and will not allow unrighteous sinners to remain with Him in heaven. But God had a plan to undo what Satan did to the human race. Jesus Christ IS the plan! Jesus came to earth to ransom you and everyone else for Himself, God the Father, and God the Holy Spirit. He took full punishment for your sins against God and the sins of everyone else on the cross so our sins no longer would keep us separated from God. Furthermore, He traded His righteousness for our unrighteousness through His death, burial and resurrection! (See: 2 Corinthians 5:21). It is ONLY God’s IMPUTED righteousness that makes us acceptable to Him - that is FREELY given to us who make Jesus our Savior and Lord. Imagine being in a courtroom, and the Judge has just sentenced you to death. Also imagine Jesus Christ being your lawyer. Jesus Christ says to the Judge (or in other words, God the heavenly Father): "Your Honor, I want to serve my client's sentence and pay the price for his/her wrong-doing by dying instead so my client can go free." Can you imagine someone doing such a thing for you?! JESUS DID IT!
Of course you may be thinking at that moment: I haven't done anything to be sentenced to die! I'm being falsely accused! "What have I supposedly DONE, God?!" Here's your answer: God gave 10 commandments for people to keep in the Old Testament Bible. Anyone who breaks just one of those commandments must be punished for breaking them against God. Where does it say THAT?! It says that in Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Have you ever lied? Lied just one time? Everyone of us has lied at least once. Number 9 of the 10 commandments says: Thou shalt not lie (bear false witness). You know what that makes us? A disobedient sinning liar against God and His moral law - His 10 commandments. (Revelation 21:8 also tells us what God thinks of lying). You just read above what God says about our disobedient sinning against Him by breaking just ONE of His moral laws: God’s punishment for doing so is DEATH. Spiritual death. Ultimately total separation from God and agonizingly suffering for our sins against Him for all eternity -- totally void of any love, peace, hope, joy or forgiveness from God ever again (otherwise known as hell).
BUT HERE IS GOD'S BEST NEWS! We can receive forgiveness for all our unrighteous, disobedience (sins) against God and our sins against others RIGHT NOW and have certainty RIGHT NOW that on the Judgment Day, our sins WON'T be held against us! HOW CAN THAT BE?! By asking Jesus Christ to forgive us for our sins and trusting that He HAS forgiven us of them simply by our asking and trusting! Jesus will do it!
1 John 1:8-9 says: If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Thus if we make Jesus our personal Lord and Savior - every time we sin - we have every right to ask Jesus Christ to forgive us of our sin(s) - cleanse us as though we never sinned - so that when our heart stops beating, we can be assured that we won't have to suffer eternal damnation for our sins. Jesus Christ did what no other human being has ever done or ever could do. He was the ONLY person on this planet who has never sinned. And because He never sinned, He is the only acceptable sacrifice God the Father would accept to pay ransom payment for each of OUR sins. That is simply AMAZING, isn't it?! Yet JESUS DID IT!
WHY? Because of God’s LOVE and MERCY for lost souls like you and I who will reach out in humility and demonstrate appreciation for His FREE GIFT of forgiveness (pardon) so we can have friendship and intimacy with Him starting now ... and lasting for ETERNITY! This life is your starting point with your loving Creator that will last for eternity. Ask Jesus for His FREE GIFT of forgiveness TODAY. Ask Him to live inside you. He WANTS to!

(Please make copies of this Gospel Message and distribute them in YOUR area. Please post the above JESUS DID IT! Gospel Truths EVERYWHERE to help share the Good News of Jesus Christ).

Hii! Thank you so much for sharing your testimony! It was so good and I'm so sorry you went through so much suffering in your life! Man, I would love to talk with you over coffee and help you in your journey towards God. But my long comment is the next best thing so here it is 😆
What you said at the end about how you don't like how many supposed Christians have acted, historical atrocities, etc.. stuck with me. I am a christian myself and I agree with you that many atrocities have been comited by people who professed the name of Jesus.
And tho these horrible acts should not be swept under the rug, I simply wanted to remind you that those people are not Jesus. These people are bad representative of Jesus. All christian are failing to represent Christ well. Some will really try to do a good job at that and some are only christian by name but haven't really been transformed by Jesus Himself.
If you hear someone butcher a beautiful song that Mozart wrote, we wouldn't blame Mozart, we would blame the person who badly represented him. It's the same way with Jesus and Christians.
And so, please, don't let the failings of Christians keep you away from Jesus Himself. He is loving, perfect, good, compassionate, holy, just, right, faithful, etc... He is love. He is alive and real and you can have a personal relationship with Him. 🤍🤍
Also for the thing about the Bible being translated and re-translated and re-written countless times, that's not exactly accurate. We have very early manuscripts of the Bible, as early as the 2nd century and we also have about 25 000 early manuscripts (which is huge! We usually only have a couple of hundreds of manuscripts of other popular texts of ancient times)
So the Bible that we have now is very reliable and not a translation of a translation of a translation, etc... We translate from the earliest manuscripts we can find, and we have lots of them! If you want to know more about the reliability of the Bible, I would encourage you to watch videos that Mike Winger did on this topic on TH-cam :)
But I'm so happy that you're taking steps towards Jesus! He loves you so so so much and he is waiting for you with open arms. As He said in John 6:37, whoever comes to Him, He will never reject.
He so deeply desires to pour healing, grace, mercy, forgiveness on you and shower you with His love. Don't give up on finding a church (but also remember that no church is perfect) and keep seeking a community of strong Christians who will be able to help and guide you.
You are a beautiful person, keep going, I will pray for you ❤
Also, did you ever read the parable of the prodigal son? It's in Luke chapter 15, verse 11 to 32 (tho, I would suggest reading the whole chapter 15). I thought of it while writing this. It talks about how God so deeply wants us, is quick to forgive and rejoices when we come back to Him. It's my suggestion in case you'd like to read this ☺❤

Your video says "my testimony from nihilist to Jesus, it came up as a suggestion to me, although I'm not exactly sure why as your story does echo mine in some areas. I guess when I see Jesus testimonies on TH-cam they're usually people in faith who have woken up to the reality of Jesus as Lord and Savior. So to me, this sounds less like a testimony and more like someone who is still quite unsure what they believe... the bible isn't wholly man-made so it can't be wholly understood with our human intellect, we need revelation for it to make sense.
I can completely understand your struggles though as I too have had the same doubts and questions, and your mentioning of feeling vulnerable and wanting to shut down to the spiritual aspects of reality I can understand too and what we see as "the church" of today is not what God wants for his people. I hope you keep seeking the Lord and ask Him to reveal truth to you because it really is in Him we find our true worth and we can't truly be validated by people in that deep way because we are all broken, looking through the lens of brokenness and so everything is distorted until we accept Christ and allow God to take us on the journey of healing. 🙏

Jesus Christ came into THEIR kingdom
to reconcile fallen angels unto Himself.
We are the fallen angels (ELOHIM) kept in DNA chains of darkness.
If you do not confess being a fallen angel in Lucifer's kingdom, then you are an unbeliever.

I one hundred percent agree with you on the things you don’t like about Christianity and the man made aspects of it.
I love God and Jesus and the original teachings of Jesus. I love the compassion and love for others I find in Jesus. I see him as an example of how to live in close alignment with God.
I do not believe in hell or sin (sin to me is doing things that you can feel in your heart are closing you off from God or that are detrimental to yourself or others)
I believe that God is source energy and the energy that creates worlds. I feel at home with God and Jesus.
I feel alignment with parts of the bible but not with all of it. Some people may say I am not a true Christian. All I know is that if I had lived in Jesus’ time and he had said “follow me” I would have.
I try to love as much as I can. I also believe that there are many paths to God but I feel most at home with Jesus.
Hope it helps you feel like you can have a relationship with God and Jesus and believe in what feels good in your soul.
