By introducing diverse human qualities through each video and explaining in an easy-to-understand manner how troubles occurred and what the problems are through our unique explanations, we provide educational values such as how to avoid relationship problems, how to deal with them appropriately, and tips on how to build smooth human relationships.
◎Multiple uses (repetition and reuse) of illustration materials used in the videos
This channel uses several free material sites in its videos. Due to the nature of the videos, there are times when we have no choice but to use the same material, but we select the appropriate material for each scene and use it accordingly. In addition, some of the materials used on this channel may also be used on other channels, but this is due to the nature of free materials, and we do not reuse them in any way. Of course, each video is produced by hand, so it is not automatically generated or mass-produced.

I won't show ANY mercy. Sigh. These stories bring out my inner grammarian.

That's as may be, but, in real life most people are not always grammatically correct, while some are rarely correct. Not disagreeing, just commenting.
Not that these stories are real life.

This getting a divorce, remarry and take the wife's family name in order to dump the MIL is just dumb. I've no problem taking any name you want. Have at it. But, sure seems like a lot of work instead of telling the woman to pluck off. If you are going to make the stories North American based, it's lunacy to include junk like that. Did the FIL change his name? No? Why not? MIL is out of the picture. I guess his son has no respect for his old man.

Not to mention that it would be simpler and cheaper to just pay for a name change instead of going through the hassle of divorcing and remarrying.

I think this might be an Asian cultural thing. A lot of these stories seem to originate from Japan.
Edit 15 hrs later : been thinking about this, the wife as property is not a new concept. Pretty much normal in medieval Europe, I especially recognise it in England, but the son's wife as slave of her MIL was definitely a thing of pre-communist China. Pretty sure a lot of the associated customs took time to disappear, people being what they are. Also think that attitude was fairly widespread in Asia - can't get superior, we had it too - though western ideas have caused a lot of change, how much change varies - our problem too, though we're a bit further ahead on the curve. Kim il something in N. Korea probably takes family patriarch slot in every family there, or maybe family god more accurate, so definitely changed the vibe there, but wouldn't consider that to be better.
The attitude of 'marrying into the family' would also give some substance to why the couple would divorce and re-marry, with *him* marrying into *her* family the second time. Probably culturally easier, and makes a stronger point where estrangement is concerned. It may also be faster, as with some of these stories they divorce and re-marry much faster than we may be able to do in some western countries.

@@therealmaizing5328 when the MIL turns in forged divorce papers I can see why they get remarried and he changed his name. If my MIL did that to us, WE would have her arrested also. Who the hell does she think she is? Many times the Old man agrees with it (name change) and has had enough of living with her crap and divorces her also.

In some countries it is extremely difficult to change your name.

If these are Christian I don’t get it. According to the Bible, if you believe in it, “a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” Genesis 2:24 and Ephesians 5:31. It’s even in 2 places for those that believe in it.
So when these MIL say that the wife must dedicate herself to the husband’s family that must be a different culture.
