Competitive Dust2 but the Spawns & Bombsites are Random

- We played a game of competitive CS:GO where the bombsites and spawns were random. The layout of de_dust2 was created before deciding where to place the sites, so I created 3 additional layouts that make sense from a competitive perspective.

This video reminds me of Due Process, a tactical FPS with procedurally generated maps every month. It's a game about improvisation and about learning map tiles instead of map structure only. I recommend giving it a look

Imagine CS:GO (or Siege) with smaller, procedurally generated maps for quick play.

They haven’t made any sort of a marketing push as of yet so yeah it’s pretty dead but when you’re able to load into a full 5v5 lobby it’s fun as hell

Man moments like 4:30 are why I love WarOwl. Not only does he drop us exciting, creative and fun new game modes, the videos themselves are full of small details, great transitions and shot and scripted so concisely. So good.

A very interesting part of the video with slick editing and informative commentary, sure. no doubt. However, I'm not entirely sure how this part of the video constitutes a "Man Moment".

I don't think so, considering he's a Marine he'd absolutely demolish the opposition and that would hardly be legendary. Or maybe it would, idk, but I'd like to see it anyway.
I love the reaction at 3:12, the sort of mini-startle, then disbelief, then celebration.
I love the idea of getting away from metas and having to improvise, if the maps could be designed to work with multiple configurations it sounds like a lot of fun, but of course /eventually/ metas would establish and it would get gimmicky in the longrun
Should randomised more stuff to affect how rounds are played.
Randomised gun prices to each person.
Randomised what % armour you get or how much health you start with.
Randomised bomb timers, defuse times.
The edit at 4:30 was great, it reminded me of Battlefield 2's intro cutscene.

The editing and transitions is really good, I really like it.
That's such a brilliantly simple way for coming up with new (and yet already tested) layouts for maps
Fun idea, every 10-15 seconds one thing may happen:
Stop moving
Drop current weapon
Jump
Spin 360
Spin 180
Teabag
Shoot
It would be cool to do a revisit to this video after some time where you modify the other sites so that they play better. The obviously have the correct layout entrance wise but the addition of some boxes or other cover like the other bombsites could make it more playable

I'd honestly love to see an advanced version of this where the new designated bombsites are redesigned with additional boxes and cover like they would have in the alternate universes where they were chosen

Dude i love this, you like hit the perfect balance between maintaining interest for those with attention spans lower than a second, keeping the warowl style there and not making the video super duper fast to the point where there is no beggining, middle and end and you have no idea whats going on like you did with the fade one. Keep this pace up, i love it! outro could use a little summ summ after the closer so its not super harsh
Valve needs to add more cool gamemodes like this. Possibly next operation we will see a cool game mode. This las operations challenges were so boring and Im honestly embarred that I have the diamond coin!
Yeah, expanded operation versions of normal maps would be sick. Running around the back corridors up banana and behind the site on inferno, journeying up the scaffolding and outside the map on mirage, the t spawn to pit area and the old fenced section in B on dust 2, a train station connection to overpass, the train yard on train, the temple on Aztec, the outer plant on nuke, and the list goes on.
@@FrostDzNz no operation has really made me have fun since hydra, we lost the gameplay aspect but we have been getting some amazing skins!
i'd like to see weapons expert from hydra or whatever that was called back tbh
they should make an operation where they bring back aztec just for the duration of the operation so people that havent got the aztec achievement on steam can sort of try and get it
I like how these people have thousands of hours in this game yet the still jump around in happiness when they hit a good shot.
This is one thing that I believe should be done in the game. This could really give this game more playability and fell refreshing

Ah, the nostalgia of the Bastion sound track. I think it was the thresher's pike challenge? I remember spending a solid day trying to get the final reward for that challenge. Great video as always!

This would actually be a neat addition to the future Competitive ESports in CS:GO. Shifting bombsites and spawns. To really test the player's mind, skills, and reaction time.

Idk why but this made me remember and miss Grind. Maybe because it's one of the most simple 4 square maps. That map was so much fun, I always felt like it could have been an official map from the early days.

Very cool idea! I have a feeling that it could have been more interesting (for you and for viewers) if you had a whole match for one layout, so you could play it like a regular map, having more time for developing tactics and countering them.
What a great idea! I'm afraid it won't work well in a lot of maps, but it definitely makes for interesting strats

i dont know if you have done it already but a game where teams are random every round would be fun to watch. For instance, having to play CT one round and then the next having to play T side with a different set of teammates and it just being randomized every round, with teammates/side

One idea for a video could be you could maintain all sites but everyone respawns in random places so you have to adapt every single round and communicate where you are and what do you see

This same thing should be created again but this time everyone has to invert their mouse movement and then you can call it "The Silver Experience; Like You've Never Experienced Before" combining learning to aim, learning how to use utility, and learning all the new angles with the new sights makes for the real silver experience
This is why I like Warowl. And CSGO
