- I broke my brain. What if Counter-Strike was Mirrored? We played a game of competitive counter-strike on mirrored maps, and it changed the way I look at Global Offensive.

Greetings! I'm taking a 2 week break from Streaming & TH-cam, thanks so much for the support. When I get back I'm going to rethink the channel and start ramping up my production on content that I think you guys will really like, and I enjoy making. I'm VERY stressed out right now and it's reflected in my work and my attitude. IVE GOT IT, the maps FEEL so much different because of the lighting, the map makers flipped everything but the skybox. some parts of the map are brighter than the original

yeah, that's why I loved cobblestone skybox change, I mean cobblestone literally didn't change, they changed skyboxes and it felt completly different, so fun lol. They should do that to every map available

Warowl videos make it feel like Negev is Valve's attempt to bring a fallback weapon to the game - the last resort everyone can count on in the worst possible scenario.

Since the shadow is different, It’s confusing, I always think the map is smaller than usual for some reason
there's a story behind this video... a painful one of lost footage and bad games... This is the third recording session... We played Mirage twice before.

it's impossible to describe this feeling better than "you feel playing it for the first time" - it's so true
As a data 2 player who has been playing the exact same map for 10 years, I once played a custom map that is just dota 2 reversed, and that was the most absurd thing that ever happened to me. So when I saw the title of the video, I really expected the same thing, the same feeling. And turned out it was, getting lost in the most familiar positions, peeking at opposite angles, the mind-blowing weirdness...
Truly a great idea and a good video to express the feelings, that was a great experience.

Honestly seeing the maps in the intro felt weird but also really refreshing, its always really repetetive seeing the same maps all the time, but having them mirrored makes them fresh without you being 100% unfamiliar with the map

I've genuinely played reversed CS:GO maps. There's a legitimately nauseating trait to changing everything suddenly, especially when it runs counter to all muscle memory
Trippiest thing I've seen all year.
I do art and when I need to look at what I messed up or need to improve or just get a new perspective of an image, I always flip it.
One of the reasons it feels so weird is that all of the lighting changes with the map. Its a subtle change but it makes a big difference.

Yep, was the first thing that hit me. It makes a huge difference, wouldn't look so different if you had the same shadows.

God damn this broke my brain. I haven't played for over a decade but I still couldn't work with this. I wish the entire video were flipped back. Interestingly the maps I never played were fine. I still know them from videos, but I could very easily handle just flipping everything in my head to normal. I literally knew my way around them better than the maps I'd played countless hours in the past.

this is actually something artists do to find mistakes in their own work, we flip the image because it turns it into something completely unrecognizable that we can more easily see the flaws in.
like when I flip my selfies and realize I am uglier than once thought :(
that’s just because you’re so used to seeing your face in the mirror, you can’t understand how it looks to others like when you take a picture. you still look good, don’t worry about it :))
I think it would be great to completely retexture these mirrored maps. Give it a completely new feel, while retaining all the design integrity of these incredible maps.
This is probably what people with dementia feel like. Everything feels so familiar yet so confusing and strange.
I waited for so long to experience that feeling, the one I felt when I played CS for the first time. And this was kinda it. I loved it.

I played a lot of dust2 mirrored 1v1 with my brother and in my mind it's a totally different map, it's super crazy how mirroring stuff turns it into something else, for example imagine the mirrored version of your home, or better yet the place you grew up in(if you don't still live there) swithching left with right and right with left creates a new place

Valve should do this with a map or two now and then. I'd like to try some of these in deathmatch or casual.
Plot twist: they used left-handed viewmodels and a flipped hud and then just flipped the video in post.

This reminds me when I played Mario Karts DS, I played every map countless times, completed 50cc, then 100cc, and then 150cc. After all that going into 150cc mirror mode I would constantly go off course every race
I fell off maple treeway 4 times in a mirror mode race yesterday. Ive been regularly playing Mario kart wii for years but very rarely ever mirror mode.

As someone who started playing this year in March and still knows this feeling of being completely lost on every map I can assure you that starting to play cs without any knowledge of any map feels exactly as in the video

I started today! Carried casual and played like 5 matches today. I can say it was pretty fun, though I'm worried about how I'm gonna do in comp. Any tips guys? I find it hard to counter awp and use it tbh, I'm not completely new to fps but I'm new to csgo. The maps I'm most used to is mirage, dust 2 and inferno. Haven't really played the other maps. I think I have a 40-50% headshot ratio? I don't know lmao.
@@kyvintalks try not to get tilted as it will make u rage and it will affect the team as well. Watch vids on like gun control and proper execution of nades.

E.g. : Never cover the same angle as your team, staying far from cover to peek, that kind of thing.
