I switched from Titleist CB to 747V. Biggest difference between the two of them is precision on its manufacturing. When I hit Honma clubs, Ball distance between the clubs is VERY consistent witch makes me feel easier to choose when I try to hit the green. Thanks for your great review
Same just sold everything my entire bag is titleist i sold all of it im going back to Honma it's not even close, so dissapointed in Titleist absolute junk
@@sicilylive2203 Haha, I don't say that much, but thickness of sole especially on the heel side makes me feel more forgiveness compare to titlist sticks. And i love 747v's grind at leading edge side which makes me also feel more forgiveness for fat shots.
I’m using the CB right now and wanting a switch. It’s just super inconsistent but I’m not sure what to go with as I’m not willing to give up the forged feel. Which Honma would you recommend?
Subsequent to this review Honma introduced the T//World-X hollow body irons in June, 2019. I am hopeful that you will soon be able to review these irons, and perhaps do a comparison with other such irons like the Titleist T-MB, Ping I500 & I700, and TaylorMade P790.
Thank you for an interesting review. Nice looking irons. I like that even on the game improved irons, the top line doesn't seem too thick. Assuming they weren't fitted for you, they perform well.
Probably should have thrown out the lowest and highest readings to get a better average number. Love to hear how these compare to the Honma Trx21 irons from 2 years ago.
The more I think about the P iron the more impressive it is. The loft is the equivalent to a strong 6i so 5600 rpm is very good. Not for me - bit too long from heel to toe and too strongly lofted - but still very impressive.
Numbers between the P and VX are not vastly different. Would one consider the VX (being forged) to provide more workability over the P, and if adding a little more distance and forgiveness consider the P over the VX?
I found the V and the Rose Proto to be some of the firmest feeling forgings Ive tested.. No pleasure at impact. A harder dead'ish feeling. Not lively feel like the Wilson blades nor the Apex MB.
Hit Miura.... Not soft forged feel .....more dense feel probably due to the Spin Welded Hosel.... I prefer Endo forged Irons and in particular OnOff 2015 Kuro.....
Interesting range, that would kill me hitting a 7 200 yards.... my current is 35% which is where I like it based on my history. Why would anyone need a 5 or 4 iron with that lofted 7 at 28% ? your 4 hybrid is 22% you could just play with 6-PW set ( 5 irons )
@@jameslovering9158 My mate used to have a set years ago and told me to try them last year. So I did and loved them. But he kept calling them Homna so I corrected him but he still said it. I said its HONMA!!! he said I said that. Lol. Mental then here again yesterday with Mike.

replaced my Callaway legacy black irons with the 747 v irons. some of the best I've ever hit. their driver is great too
The 747V’s are simply PURE. The feedback they give is just amazing. Glad I switched from my Mizuno’s blades to these bats.

Most under-rated irons out there.... LOVE their feel.
Just found a set of TW737p. They are the best irons I've ever used!!! they feel just like soft mizunos! so easy to hit!!
All three models do as Honma say they do. Excellent review and product.
I have the 747v stiff shaft lovely looking and great strong irons

I have a set of Honma TW-BM irons beautiful to hit and beautiful to look at it an I am loving it .Excellent review Michael.
Looks a little like the Srixons and Callaway X forged had a baby. Crisp looking clubs liked the numbers with the "V"

Nice review sir. Honma make very good clubs. Too expensive here in the states. Rivaling PXG.
john donohoe they have a big deal on them on pgatoursuperstore.com very good deal! Almost half off right now!

Play it like a 6 not a 7 but because of the peak heights it will hold the green better than a typical 6.
Would the 747V irons be considered blades ?
Have you ever thought of doing some on the course testing, to sort of test if a low spinning iron will hold a green or not?
yes but very time consuming and very tough to fit in around my bust coaching and fitting diary.
What shaft was in this test?
Would the P version suit a 30 hcp?

@@TZOID08 im an endo guy as well. Bridgestone J15CB, Apex Pro/MB, Epon.
Which Shaft do you used ? On all irons the same?
Modus120, yes same for all 3 models

You forgot the blades, the best ones
No Rose Proto?
Simply can’t get hold of one......like rocking horse......!
Dang..... would really love to see you put it head to head with P7TW though... haha

It's not Homna. Its Honma. U say Homna and so does my mate. Lol.
Funny as hell to listen to and amazes me having lived in Asia for a period Honma is pretty big and not mispronounced LOL.
