  • In This video We'll check out one of the Best Modern Lexus Models ever made! This is a model so good that Lexus doesn't seem to be interested in updating quickly.
It's common for Toyota and Lexus models to get an update or refresh every 3 years however some models are immune to that simply because they're the best of the best that Lexus has to offer. We have the Lexus LX, The Lexus GX and at some point the Lexus LS.
In my opinion the Lexus LC500 is one of those models that are joining that club of the best of the best. Virtually unchanged since 2018 and still comes with a CD Player and a Non touch screen in 2023!
In this video we take a look at why the Lexus LC500 is one of the greatest Lexus models ever made as it continues unchanged for the 2023 model year.

He’s good, but there are others out there that are good too. Also he was wrong that the LC500 is built for the track. This is my favorite car, but it’s a luxury GT car, not a sports car and not at all designed or intended for the track. It’s too big, it’s too heavy, it’s too slow, it has very poor low-end torque, the suspension is too soft, the brakes aren’t built for sustained heavy breaking, the lack of a dual-clutch transmission makes it slow to shift, the big engine upfront causes considerable understeer. If you track it, you’ll be very disappointed.

i purchased one of these in 2020 simply because i wanted to own a coupe and i am a lexus fanboy. I never test drive any cars that i have purchase. I believe it takes you months to really know if your gonna like the way a car drives or not. I hated the ride home on it i found it to floaty, but after some months driving it gingerly and about 1000 miles later i started to appreciate it. It quite simply is the best car you can buy for the money.
100K is alot to money to many and if that is the case get yourself a used one. Words really can’t describe the way this vehicle makes you feel it has to be driven for awhile for it to make sense.
This is quite simply pound for pound dollar for dollar the very best car in the world.

My 2002 Lexus ES300 is amazing. The (02-06) generation is the best ES Gen. Quality and fit and finish is unparalleled. Not one squeak or rattle anywhere. Everything still works. I have 173k miles, I’m the second owner. New struts installed last summer. Rides like new, rear end is sitting up high like it was when it was new. Bought it in April 2021 soon after had to replace the OEM alternator and AC compressor (started squealing). Earlier this year I had to replace the original starter. These parts lasted 20 years! A true testament to the build quality and reliability of the original parts ! All parts except struts were replaced with GENCO
I’ll keep this one for 10+ years!!

Very nice! I think I'm 90% sure my next car will be a Lexus. Did you replace the struts because you needed to? The reason I asked is because on all of the previous Toyota Camrys I've owned never needed struts even with over 300K miles.

It’s too long, it’s too heavy, it’s too slow, it has very poor low end torque, the suspension is way too soft, the brakes aren’t built for sustained heavy breaking, the steering is way too detached from the road, the big engine upfront causes considerable understeer, the lack of a dual clutch transmission makes it too slow to shift. TY TY TY, what a total delight to see this car, as you said time and again the attention too detail is over the top in this Lexus. I am in the same position as you AMD, if I only had the money I would love to have one of these as a daily driver. I am sure that when this was designed they were told just make the absolute best sports car you can and don't spare anything.
TY my friend this was a wonderful adventure into luxury without limits.

1:05 That's a nice 5th gen ES350! You should do a video on it sometime, it's truly a solid car that so softly sprung without having to deal with air suspension, and just the right amount of luxury in the interior to help you really enjoy driving it, a true highway cruiser.

Hey Ahmed, the one thing I noticed towards the end of the video was the thickness of the steering wheel. I have large hands so I really appreciate a thick rim wheel. The orange color is my favorite. The green is beautiful, but the orange makes a beautiful car stand out even more. Also, NO BLACK TRIM. I know black is the new chrome but I'm old school and chrome is still king! Going to play the lottery this week for sure! Toyota/Lexus proves once again that they are the world's premier auto maker hands down. Great video my friend.

I am glad you finally have one to look over, best choice of any Lexus.
I would dissagree with the 10 speed being clunky under normal driving, I have driven a 2019 and 2020 both were smooth and acted perfect under normal driving condiotions.

16:03 I have to agree. Im very mechanically inclined and it takes a fortnight to get accustom to the brakes on it. Even when you "have it" its not perfect. Then jump in an RX and your like omg this butter! Trust me i always love getting back in my LC as butter cloud soft as the ES/RX/LS are i signed up for my jet. Its nice to know you can stop on a dime I've had to do it a few times and the car shocks me with its grip every time.

I agree that this is a superb GT car, but I’m very surprised he considers it a track car. This is an outstanding luxury GT car, not a sports car and not at all designed or intended for the track. This is my favorite car and my daily driver, but it is a very average track car. If you track it, you’ll will be very disappointed.

I love this. It’s a stunning machine, I’m not even sure if I like how it looks but I know I love why it looks like it does. Everything meant something and was done with character. It almost feels more human than most cars nowadays. You know people had these great ideas and some boss was like “yes, great idea, let’s do it. “
You should consider a RCF video. I have a 15 rcf a and am blow away by the fact I can literally go to a track day with nothing my my phone and a helmet and . Drive there, race, drive home. Not even a tire pressure gauge.

Could have bought an LC500 for my son 2 months ago but our local dealer was adding 56k to the msrp. They were only willing to shave off 18k from the sale price. Plus they hid the LX600 they had in their Maintenance & Service bldg. My son and I got pissed off and ended buying a Porsche Cayenne. Planning to sell the cayenne in 2 years and buy an LC when, hopefully, the price craze will have died down.

As for the trans, could it be that the plastic cover better absorbs heat or noise vibration? (Just guessing out of curiosity...🤔) Anyway, love that olive green - and CVs, esp. those w/proper rear-glass (took BMW years to do this) as w/my non-Lexus. But I do also need a full backseat and trunk, like in my beloved daily-driver Saab.😉

I don’t understand why there’s no love for LS460 at all. Yes they had their share of problems the first few years, but it’s because they were much more complex and higher performing cars compared to the LS430.
The LS460 is still very reliable mechanically, my 07 LS460 has over 150K miles on it and the engine and transmission still runs buttery smooth. Everything still
works and I haven’t had any issues at all since I bought used about 2 years ago. Being almost 15 years old now, the car still feels new and fresh.
It rides, drives and performs much better than most new cars I’ve been in recently as well.
I own a fully loaded L model with almost every option available including air suspension and I know all about the issues with the suspension components on these cars, but again, the added more sophisticated complexity of the suspension made these cars not only ride like an old full size Cadillac from back in the 70’s, but handle much much better than the LS430.
The LS430 is an amazing car, but underneath of it, it’s suspension and steering components are very simplistic and the tech is very old and basic compared to the much more advanced LS460 that made the LS460 finally truly compete with the S-Class.

I love the LC 500. In my opinion, it's one of the most strikingly beautiful cars available on the market. I got a chance to sit in it at the L.A. Auto Show last year and for me it's easily in the Top 3 cars in terms of looks (inside and out) that you can purchase today. Not only that, it's one of the few cars left on the market that utilizes a naturally aspirated V8. Kind of reminds me of when Lexus debuted the original SC 400 - a sporty V8 coupe that was stylish for the 90s (and to this day is still a lovely car - just saw one earlier today).
