All cars will break down and will last as long as you maintain them. But if you have the gift to fix them, then its a bonus and affordable. No need to buy them new.

There’s a lot of components that need to be removed to access the plugs, but even still, I was able to complete the work in 5 hours, and that was my first time touching the Toyota V6. Wouldn’t have been able to do it without Mr Car Care Nut. Now if he can do a video on tensioner and tensioner pulley replacement, I’ll be set for hopefully many miles to come,
Yup thats the typical price on the dealerships especially on the v6 engines. I maintained my friends Toyotas from Prius, Camry, Highlanders,4runner from spark plugs to vital fluids and suspensions. They bought this 2001 Highlander when their child is in kindergarden and now a practicing Engineer and still driving that 2001 Highlander, almost they give it up but I said I will try to revive it. 2023 now and the car still doing strong except for a busted brake bulb.

Congrats, my wife is on her 5th Lexus. Currently in a GX too. You should have folding mirrors, mirror switch there is a toggle on top. Flip it to the left to fold the mirrors in.

Happy for Mrs Car Care Nut... the GX is built like a tank but rides really well. We have a 2020 GX, an upgrade from 2017 GS350 and have had our 2010 IS250C since new. Lexus run forever and their build quality is amazing, worth every penny.... just keep up with the maintenance and they'll never let you down.

Congrats and well deserved! If it wasn't for that swinging tailgate and the cargo space, I would have bought the GX 460 as well since back in 2019, GX was only 5k more than the new 4Runner I was looking at. I agreed that you should never ever pay a single penny over MSRP.
I love it to death. I always love 4Runner, i used to owned a 3rd gen 4Runner in limited trim lvl and now 5th gen in TRD OFF ROAD Premium. But not looking forward 6th gen as it’s using turbo hybrid 4 cylinder. I recently acquired my uncle’s 2019 Lexus LX 570 as a gift so it fits perfectly with the 4Runner.
Congratulations AMD and Mrs. Car Care Nut. Love the GX because it is bulletproof and still made in the Tahara factory. And because of the elevated values of 4runner, GX makes more sense. I ended up getting RXL for similar reason but just needed better fuel economy and ability to put regular 87 octane fuel. The upcoming TX will be interesting to see but again new technology will have a lot of growing pains.
Congrats to you and the Mrs. I just picked up a nori green blackline 2023 GX in part based on your reviews. I did not want the complexity of the luxury and don’t need power for the third row (or the third row at all) and the sport trim, but the leather would have been nice. I do think caviar is beautiful with the red.

I’ve a 2022 Lexus GX Premium Plus Package with Captain’s Chairs (purchased because of your rave reviews). Although the mirrors do not fold automatically when locking the door, a feature I loved in my RX, you can fold them with a button on the driver side door. On mine at least, you don’t have to manually fold each mirror in.

Congrats. We had an ‘04 GX470 until 2019. It was a great SUV for us. The only reason we were getting a little worried after 15 year was how bad the frame and suspension rust was (midwest winters). The body and paint were still like new.
I live in the South. My mechanic is Toyota and Lexus certified like this guy. He has the GX 470. He swears by it. Keeps telling I have to get one. No frame rust issues here.

Congrats, my wife is on her 5th Lexus. Currently in a GX too. You should have folding mirrors, mirror switch there is a toggle on top. Flip it to the left to fold the mirrors in.

Happy for Mrs Car Care Nut... the GX is built like a tank but rides really well. We have a 2020 GX, an upgrade from 2017 GS350 and have had our 2010 IS250C since new. Lexus run forever and their build quality is amazing, worth every penny.... just keep up with the maintenance and they'll never let you down.
Can’t wait for the 2024 Prado that will be using the LC300 frame. In AU, it will likely come with the 3.3V6 diesel

Congrats and well deserved! If it wasn't for that swinging tailgate and the cargo space, I would have bought the GX 460 as well since back in 2019, GX was only 5k more than the new 4Runner I was looking at. I agreed that you should never ever pay a single penny over MSRP.
I love it to death. I always love 4Runner, i used to owned a 3rd gen 4Runner in limited trim lvl and now 5th gen in TRD OFF ROAD Premium. But not looking forward 6th gen as it’s using turbo hybrid 4 cylinder. I recently acquired my uncle’s 2019 Lexus LX 570 as a gift so it fits perfectly with the 4Runner.

Congratulations AMD and Mrs. Car Care Nut. Love the GX because it is bulletproof and still made in the Tahara factory. And because of the elevated values of 4runner, GX makes more sense. I ended up getting RXL for similar reason but just needed better fuel economy and ability to put regular 87 octane fuel.
The upcoming TX will be interesting to see but again new technology will have a lot of growing pains.

I did not want the complexity of the luxury and don’t need power for the third row (or the third row at all) and the sport trim, but the leather would have been nice. I do think caviar is beautiful with the red.

I’ve a 2022 Lexus GX Premium Plus Package with Captain’s Chairs (purchased because of your rave reviews). Although the mirrors do not fold automatically when locking the door, a feature I loved in my RX, you can fold them with a button on the driver side door. On mine at least, you don’t have to manually fold each mirror in.
Yes, exactly, has Power fold though not automatic.

Congrats. We had an ‘04 GX470 until 2019. It was a great SUV for us. The only reason we were getting a little worried after 15 year was how bad the frame and suspension rust was (midwest winters). The body and paint were still like new.
It's a shame they're built so well and would last a million miles if it weren't for the rust problems they all have.
I live in the South. My mechanic is Toyota and Lexus certified like this guy. He has the GX 470. He swears by it. Keeps telling I have to get one. No frame rust issues here.
