Cheers for this. Always interesting to see various different approaches to solo play, both in actual play form and in general 'this is my method' stuff.
This is exactly my same setup for when I play "Four Against the Darkness". It is great to have something all in one to take on the porch or traveling. A bud of mind who owns another game company had made some real nice gaming folders with sheets for char sheets you can use a white board pin with, dice tray... I use that for when I travel and I want to test my rpg or play some OSE solo when I am in the hospital. Great video!
Nice setup 🙂 I usually use the One Page GM Emulator, Maze Rats for the tables and the RPG choice. Currently using Black Sword Hack which has pretty neat tables for generating the content 🙂
I’m looking more into solo RPG’s and I’ve been struggling with how much writing is involved. You just writing down the summary is so much better! Lifesaver. Also it makes me genuinely happy to see how much you enjoy this! Things like this are definitely underrated.
I use chat gpt for role play and interaction. I handle oracles and game mechanics. Use the one page solo oracle app and im good to go. Ah i use the tiny dungeon app to generate dungeons and make my encounter charts.
Awesome stuff. This was exactly what I was hoping to find. Rolling a solo RPG in my spare time has definitely become a new favourite past-time of mine. However, lugging the mythic hardback isn't always commuter friendly; so this gives me a good idea how I can go about taking my fantasy adventures with me :D. Thanks a bunch!
Not these ones, but I do have all the tables I used for my solo Troika campaign here: ragamancers.com/2023/06/08/troika-tables-for-solo-play/#comment-175 which tools are you interested in?

Thanks! Your setup sounds great. I love being able to travel with my setup, it's such a nice alternative to screen entertainment.

I have Maze Rats printed out but I've never used it! I'll have to look at it again.
Thanks for the Rory’s Story Cubes shout out. 😊 It’s always neat to see other folks solo setup.
I love Rory's Story Cubes!
Great video! Where did you get the actual case from? Great that it can store your dice and papers in separate, deeper compartments.
I found mine at Office Depot!
@@theragamancers Thank you! I actually think I’ve managed to basically the same one on Amazon too by typing in “blue organiser clipboard” :D

The golden rule of solo rpgs is: what's fun for you? Some people like to write a lot. But if summaries or bullet points are more fun for you? Do it!

That sounds like a great setup! I have tried ChatGPT for solo RPG stuff yet but I can imagine it would be a very flexible tool.

Have you checked out One Page Mythic? All the basics, no massive hardback.
@@theragamancers Brilliant! I don't know how I didn't come across this earlier. Just what I needed. Cheers :D.
do you have some links to your tools? :)
