Good job, very descriptive which is what I appreciate. Ignore the haters almost everyone on TH-cam these days are putting new systems up regularly. Most of which are free to them they just have to make a video about it.
I am checking out the products, bro! Well done, sir!! Loving what you're doing, and both of you. This is me, going to bring the ocean to red cinder land of Arizona. This is the current plan. Thank you :)
@@OKLAHOMAOFFGRID Hey bro. The batteries you list, are they going to be replaced by newer technology any time soon? It seems they are listed as sale price. I am still in escrow at it's 8 hours away from where I live. Plus.. raw land! Where to start?
Maybe put a timer on your plug so for say 5 hours a week or so it charges the batteries. If your on a dual tariff (cheaper off peak times) you could charge it up then. To help compensate overcast days.
@@OKLAHOMAOFFGRID Rather than using a rectifier appliance to go from the inverter 120VAC to 12VDC, they could use a voltage converter to convert those 52VDC batteries down to 12VDC output. Wire the voltage converter into the bus bars that are already there at the batteries, and then their 12V load into the output terminals of the voltage converter. There should in theory be much less power loss as you're not double converting DC -> AC -> back to DC that way.
This is the first 48V server rack battery that I've seen with a price per watt hour to match the price I paid for my four 12V, 300 amp hour WattCycle batteries. As always, if you wait just a little while longer, someone is always going to come out with a new product that is better, or cheaper than the one you just bought, but it's great to see battery prices coming down as quickly as they are, and my advice to anyone in the USA interested in getting any of this stuff, do it now, before the proposed tariffs go into effect, and the price of everything starts going up, instead of down, like it has been for some products over the past couple of years.
I prefer a simple system myself. I have 2 Bluetti AC200 Max power stations, over 2,000 watts each. Charge controllers and everything else is included in the units. They power my mobile home in the mountains. Just plug solar panels into them. They will charge as you use them. Charge by generator. Charge by electric outlet. Solar panels. Plus I just pack the Bluetti's up and bring them back with me when I'm not staying at my mobile home.
Sounds great but if one component of those units breaks you'd either have to send it to warranty or trash it and get another one. The benefit of these systems is that if any component breaks, you can either repair or replace that component instead of the whole system.
Very neat work... But do you trust that breaker? Heard really awful things about them bugging out prematurely below their rating... What's your experience? 🤔
Nice instructional video. Too bad that LiTime only supports up to 150vDC as many all-in-ones have really jumped that number. But for the $$, not bad. On the T-class fuses, Inverter Service Center, Amazon, Home Depot, etc., can easily source them since someone asked in the comments. Gary from SE MI
right on...and yes the 150 volt cost me time and wire i will admit. But it will still hold almost 5000 watts...just have to configure it a bit different than eg4 equipment
Never thought that my inverter would look so good if it is was black, I have the same inverter but from a different brand,(SRNE). I might paint mine black.
@@stevehall9256 if you're running a 48 volt system your best value is absolutely 100% going to be a server rack battery. Most 12-volt batteries that are ran in Ceres can only accept 8 batteries in series or a batteries in parallel and you cannot add any more because the BMS is not capable of handling too many brains at once. But when it comes to most of the BMS the server rack batteries they can be stacked sometimes 12 or even 16 and sometimes even more. The thing about the server rack battery is that it is equivalent to the 412 volt batteries but with just one single BMS
@OKLAHOMAOFFGRID thanks for the reply. I definitely want a system that can be enlarged later. I have a 24 volt aims 3000watt inverter that seems to be compatible with a 48 volt system. 8 300 watt grape panels, 4 40 Amp charge controllers and I'm shopping batteries. When you say a rack battery, is that a type of battery or a brand?
Server rack battery is a type of battery like in this video that fits into a server rack case. if you have a 24 volt inverter by Aims you will need a 24 volt server rack battery and you will have to keep the system 24 volt unless or until you upgrade your inverter
I want to build a system like this to power my new F150 lightning... which will also power my house in an outage. I would need 240 output and 6k (better to go 12k) output.

He would also tighten all connections with the correct Newton Meter Torque Wrench. Remember everything you show in your DIY videos is tax deductible I am learning a lot about Li Time stuff. Not trying to bust your balls here but a lot of those cheap Chinese inverters have terrible support. Do you have an IMO disconnect for your PV. It’s better than nothing for sure..
yes they are cheap...but seem to have no problems so far in my case...I also own 2 EG4 3k inverters which are also high frequency and still no problems for over a year straight running 24/7 and yes I have an IP66 rated DC disconnect switch

Can this set up be used for a van conversion and will it power any of the 12 volt needed items also in van ?
Yes it absolutely could be used inside of a van. And you can always convert from 120 down to 12 volts just off of your 120 volt output
