There are a lot of cars in this year's competition which would deserve to win, and this is one which would not surprise me at all if it came out on top at the end. Remember that it is not about which car is fastest, it's about which car is the most fun/satisfying to drive, the one which makes you get up early on Sunday morning just to drive an hour or two. And this wagon is such a car, it definitely will make you smile like a maniac AND it is a family car as an added bonus.

It has a lovely exhaust note. A little raspy but nice and deep.
I love the footage on the track from outside the car. It looks like it shouldn't be doing those curves and making those sounds LOL
Just bought one tuned by AMR to 700 bhp and 850 torque with down pipes. It’s insane. My kids love it when Mom is not in the car. Sounds like a freight train coming down the street.
For some reason, this is the car I was the most excited about.
my parents had the R500 for a while haha. The thing was a wicked cool car. The thing could move for such a massive vehicle

@MotorTrend, it would be nice that after the hot lap finishes and you show the time for the lap, you should also add the times for other cars that you have tested that are in the same range, just a thought, Love The videos.
One probably wasn't available. I have yet to read anywhere where the sedan has been tested/reviewed.

Sometimes I get lost in these insane numbers. They should take a little economy car and race it beside these amazing cars just so we can get a better sense of how insane the numbers are!
What happened to the mean V8 growl of the old E63/E55. It now sounds like the BMW M5/M6 and not so good. Maybe in person it sounds better?

This car certainly does deliver what it can offer.. although I wish you guys can put this up against the Audi RS6 Avant.. (if only it was available here in the US :-( )

no. The E63 AMG doesn't have 4-wheel-drive while both the Audi RS6 and the E 63 AMG S-model have it. So it's an adequate comparison.

It's the turbocharger. It mutes the exhaust note on any engine.
