I hope the new models that come after this boxset for both the Stormcast and Skaven arn't just more boring hero's, and are monsters, dragons, battline units, and elite units like the newer giant-er rat ogre thing (can't remember the name), im already disappointed we got yet another hero revealed (the one with wings), like Gw just give us some dracontith battline units like Tempesters but have wings and no riders and come as a unit of 3!!!!!

Genuine thought you had cut to official GW footage when you showcased your Skaven force (not just trying to blow hot air up your butt). Amazing work on both armies but especially the Skaven, they’re a tricky force to paint.

I wish the set didn't come with Stormcast. I find the range boring. Justicars, Redeemers, Apologists, Crusaders, or whatever. They end up all blurring together as gold knights with swords, or hammers, or crossbows, or spears.
Yeah I get that. I doubt they will move away from stormcast for a while with starter boxes.

As for the potential of seeing Spearhead on your channel, honestly, I love all of your content but if you start putting out batreps as well? I think everyone would go crazy for that =D

Thanks for the video. I teach teens Warhammer and always say that Age of Sigmar is like Game of Thrones - seems to get more of them keen! Especially those who like 40K more….. Love your videos and can’t believe you don’t have more subs. Do you only paint to game or do you do higher level/display painting?

Just painting for fun and games at the moment but I might do some competition style painting at some stage.
As someone new to the Warhammer community this was super helpful because trying to get into the tabletop minis it was super confusing with all the different games, I now know it’s 40k I want to start with but this set looks absolutely amazing!

Would’ve advised something different like ratskin flesh as the base. I’ve had so much trouble with cadian for getting smooth coverage. Even over a light zenithal. If you want to stick with a layer paint flesh base, I might suggest a quick base of bugmans first. Sounds weird but it significantly decreases the number of coats of the flesh paint needed. That tip pulled me from the brink of insanity doing base coats of Kislev flesh for my batch paint of fyreslayers. Love the stuff man. Keep it up.

Im very impressed with the overall presentation of the launch box, as compared to the 40k 10th ed launch box. AoS has been a game GW have continously wanted to make more and more popular. I think with small luxuries like these, they can be that bit more of perusuaion for some who are looking for more quality in their purchases. I also love that Spearhead has its own unique hardback rulebook. An added bit of luxury that Combat Patrol hasnt gotten but I believe will in the next edition of the CP game system. Spearhead definitely feels more fleshed out, maybe taking feedback from fans, staff, etc on how to elevate this smaller faster style game to stand on its own as a legit game system for many who dont have the time or money

I honestly think spearhead is a great idea and it really seems like they spent the time needed to make it the best it can be. I am very keen to play it more.

A great boxset and awesome effort getting it all done! I just don't think the model choices made by GW are as good as their counter parts. I defo preferred the Leviathan and Indomitus sets, but still, i might have to do me a purchase😂

It was from green stuff world, it’s a good one but it can get in the way a bit sometimes.

I like the colour choice for the stormcast models. Not usually a fan of stormcast, but these look great. Don’t like the strobe lighting. It is hard to look at and would prefer to see the models rather than flashes of them. Nice work on both armies.

I have that same desk light! It’s great! What camera do you use to record on that mount, a phone? I did some recording once and just set my phone on top with no mount haha.

I was using one of my old iPhones just. I actually did that for a few videos as well I just used a bit of blue tack but the heat from the light melts it if it’s on for too long.

No, purely because the price these days is stupidly expensive. People think, yeah but it's cheap for what you get, sure, course it is, but then that's only because the other products they put out are so expensive in comparison.

You realy think so my first Box was battle for macragge in 40k there where a bit Terrain in it a squad tyranids and a squad Marines with some gimmic but only a small booklet in These new boxes you get so much more and the Quality is on a different level then the old sculpts. Meaning you need better quality plastic and high precision machinery i think you cant compare These
@@Dennis3113 I loved that box set as well. I think everyone is going to have some issues with pricing but if they really don’t/cant deal with it you can always find ways to make more affordable, eBay or printing etc.

No pretty sure you can do it either way. You do get a grand hammer in each 5 man squad though.

That was actually my friend Adam how came up with that. Hopefully I will get some of the new releases and I can do a tutorial for you.
The stormcast recipe:
Primed black
Armour leadbeltcher
Straps mix of mournefang with black 3:1
Select armour runelord bronze I believe
Wash the armour with Wyldwoods contrast.

To me this just proves that James Workshop really can make a competitively price boxset at anytime they just choose not to. It's incredible how marked up everything actually is outside of the box.
Yeah it does show you how much they mark it up which is a shame.
I definitely want to buy this once my student refund comes this semester. I got into Age of Sigmar, and chose Stormcast as my army. Specifically, the Hallowed Knights. And this box set looks like it will fulfill my entry into the hobby.

Probably the box set that I'm the most excited about. Never got into skaven because I didn't like how old the range is, but now some of these models are really tempting me into getting the box. I'd also be really keen to see a skaven v stormcast spearhead battle report!
