I am 19 and I love Julie and all her movies even those that weren't as successful as The Sound of Music, she is a unique singer and a unique actress and there is only one Julie Andrews and I am so glad we have the chance to experience her in her prime like here so thank you Savannah D for sharing all these lovely videos
+Mwa Mwa you exactly got my own feelings about that unique person!shes my idol my inspiration, the person i admire the most, the example of beauty,elegance,talent.....ahhhh and by the way i'm 19 too
Thank you so much, I've never seen this performance before. It happens I'm writing this on Christmas night, and part of the beloved ritual is listening to Julie's Christmas albums. I wasn't feeling that good before I put them on, but then my spirit soared, thanking God I got to hear that voice again. Now it's Christmas!
I Don't think it's that uncommon for us younger generation to like Julie Andrews and other people of her era as they are so incredibly talented, we just have good taste : )
Though Julie's hair has been known as short to us for years, she used to have rather long hair like what we see in this clip. And I prefer her long hair; I wonder when she got it cut short first.
@@munimuz.6283 he v cut her hair because of the musical The Boyfriend. Then let it grow for My Fair Lady and cur again when she was making Camelot because of the wigs she had to use d for the role and until then she only used a short hair. This video was mafe during My Fair Lady years.
Wonderful! In fact only the first song ("Wouldn't it be loverly") is from My Fair Lady. The other two songs are "Someone to watch over me" by George Gershwin and "I'll follow my secret heart" by Noël Coward.

Bluejeans0701 she cut them when she first went to america in the year 1954 as a symbol of emancipation, her mother didn't liked her decision at all.

2019!?!?!?
God, she looks so young here! Was it from 1956? She's such a divine creature!
She looks like a 60 year old, lol i love Julie Andrews. The best singer of the Century.
Where is this from?? Love it!
Where was this? I have never seen it, amazing find! THANKS.
The Ed Sullivan Show from November 1956. Julie was 8 months into "My Fair Lady" on Broadway at the time.
Julie Andrews is not really what you would call a "broad", mate.
