      Does a black woman who falls in love with a non-black man really need to be called a "bed wench"? Or are you referring to a thin, fit woman falling in love with a chubby man as the definition of "bed wench"? Just enlighten us as to what a "bed wench" in 2019 is. Name some "bed wenches" for us.

    • @chriskochinsky1102
      @chriskochinsky1102 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@GracedVille Non-ambiguous literally means it is something that doesn't have a double meaning, it can't be "interpreted" in more than one way. I believe @Dee Shawnte means the character is Nigerian, pure and simple and true to the black Nigerian culture. The character is not portrayed as a vague "African immigrant". I don't know if Dee will read this, but I hope if I have missed her point, she will chime in.

    Gina Yashere is one of the writers, she is a hilarious British Nigerian descent comedian. She’s actually also in the show (the lady on the bus who said “at your age you can’t be picky”) as the lead characters best friend. Amazing - Abishola’s mother is played by Shola Adewusi! She’s British-Nigerian, and is one of my favourite character actors here in the U.K. She’s brilliant as Tracey’s mother in Chewing Gum if you can view it in the States...I’m excited for this show just to see her making the leap into American TV alone!
