In case anyone is wondering, ONLY the 21" wheel/tires on the Plaid has the inner sidewall "lathing" issue. Tesla S Plaids equipped with the OEM 19" wheels/tires do not have this issue.
You need to fix the root of the problem and that is the negative 2.5 degree camber. Given the upper arm cradle side bushing is now in a pivot that bolts laterally into the cradle, there are two shim options available that weren't possible with the previous design where the cradle side bushing used to sandwich between two tabs extruded from the cradle. There are also multiple control arm replacements for the upper arm. Also, because the rear toe is now a tie rod, there is far more toe adjustability if you replace the upper and you know longer need to replace the fore link as well since there is so much toe adjustability. In either case, you'll need an alignment after replacing or shimming the upper control arm. Shoot for -1.3 degrees of camber for a long tire life. Also, if you lower the car, you just make the problem worse but again you can pretty much correct it to -1.3 with adjustable control arms.
Changing tires will not fix the inner tire wear. However, you can get a custom built adjustable camber arm from N2itive . $995 for a pair for the Plaid and easy install locally. Problem solved. The rear tires will now run flat on the road with far better traction and control. Bill Bryant. 2023 Plaid owner with 2 rear tire failures. I had enough and located N2itive.
Your issue isn't tires, it's the negative camber in the rear. Fix the camber, you fix the issue. Most 21" Pilot sport 4s tires have tread wear rating of 350 or lower. The higher that number, the harder the tire will be and longer it should last(in theory at least). Unless the Bridgestone has a rating of 650 or more(which I doubt they do), it won't last any longer than the Michelin. Also with warranty from a manufacturer, especially Michelin, you need to show regular maintenance for the tires. Rotation every 5k or so and alignments twice a year. You can't rotate staggered fit tires, which the Tesla has, so you'll be SOL when you try to claim a mileage warranty.
For Michelin if the tires are staggered the warranty mileage is still there but it's only for half the mileage as if they were the same front and rear.
Did you change your stock rear camber arm for an Adjustable Rear camber arm like N2ituitive SX-p2 adjustable rear arm that would fix the problem.. lowering your car would cause more wear
That like gravity at the end brings back so many memories. You’ve been doing this for quite sometime. Proud you overcame your obstacles and got back to it. 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿

It’s not camber it’s toe that is killing the tires, camber will wear it slightly more but toe will quickly destroy inside shoulders of tires with a quickness
Aftermarket adjustable rear upper camber arms or shims and a proper alignment will fix this issue. The return on investment not going through great tires will list off quickly.
Came on bro, are you advising winter tyres? They will melt in the summer. These tyres will behave like butter under heat. They will shred even faster than the PS4S’s. Dont be surprised 😅
you know that no matter the tire, no one is going to warranty a tire that has that wear for it's due to a problem with the car even if the car is designed with the problem. I have a model x that has the 4S on them as well as a SL63 with the 4S on them and both wear like your tires. I think it's a design flaw for never got more than 10k on 4S tires. I love them but they don't last unless I don't drive the vehicle
I'm an automotive detailer and I approve this comment 100%. I would also recommend following that up with Gtechiq L1 or just have them ceramic coated👍🏽
Bridgestone has not done a good job with their Turanza tires delivered with the ID3 🤕. Punctures all the time and very high wear. It can only get better ....
MY BLUE S I CALL BLUE BUY YOU CAME WITH NEW TIRES IM OLD I HAD A YAMAHA 360 WHEN STEVE MCQUEEN HAD ONE AND A TESLA S WHEN A PERSON WHO WENT TO U OF M LIKE MY NIECE DID AND IS SMART LIKE HER. YOU ARE COOL IN A DIFFERENT WAY BUT COOL NONE THE LESS.
Milage warranty does not cover tires with alignment/suspension wear. It is not the tire's fault that it is rolling at an angle, it is the suspension/vehicle's fault. You have a $100K plus vehicle and are complaining about tires😂
plaid drivers do. They smoke your little shit box overpriced lawnmowers and nothing is more satisfying than watching combustion fan boys cry. Go do an oil change kid. 😂

gay cars nobody gives a fuck
He’s so bitchy
All you need is lowering links and that’s it!!
True story Lol.
Just went back to 19” best decision ever after 8k with 2 sets of 21” destroyed on these crap roads in my state/city.

He just needs to constantly corner really hard to make use of the race camber.😂
Hi Parker! I clean my white Plaid seats with Kirkland babywipes. Non-abrasive, cheap, does the job well!

Thats the 1st thing I bought when I purchased my MS Plaid. Best investment to save your tires!
Yup, get a set of these to fix camber: TARTAN SX-P2 2021+ Tesla Model S/X PLAID & Long Range Forged Adjustable Rear Upper Camber Arms (1 PAIR)

Hi Parker can u please give us your updates on your tires Bridgestone Terronza Ev ???
Go to 19 inch tires! Plaid owners with 19 inch tires don't have this problem.
It doesn’t show that Bridgestone makes a 21” tire in this Turanza EV
you could wrap your Tesla in matte finish PPF
With the car being lowered your rubbing the tires lmao
Unscented baby wipes to clean the white seats
Get the new Track Package⚡️🇺🇸
You can only claim a tire warranty once. You can’t claim any warranty on a tire you already got for free
I'm sure he wasn't either paid or given free tires from Bridgestone 👎🤦♂️

A quality microfiber cloth with a weak soap solution using dawn dish soap. Wring fairly dry and then scrub the seats. They'll look like new again.
Great job, hopefully the new tires will help. Would love to see an update on your dad's projects.
Came on bro, are you advising winter tyres? They will melt in the summer. These tyres will behave like butter under heat. They will shred even faster than the PS4S’s. Dont be surprised 😅
I had the same problem with the tires on my e46 coupé due to the typical e46 rear subframe/chassis issues.
Turtle Wax Inside Job cleans white Tesla seats very well. Have tried several products but this is the solution.
Plz try track pkage
You should definitely wrap the Tesla

The other thing is the n2itive mod that people do to be able to adjust camber
i have 20x10.5s square setup with 295/35s front and 305/35s rears have no issues either
Like gravity 🎼🎵🎶
Unscented baby wipe the seats very time you wash the car.
Video is titled, "NO LONGER SELLING MY TESLA PLAID AFTER SEEING THIS…", 2/3 of the video is about the Ford Mustang. -1.
What happened to your hood? That looked nice
These cars have so much torque they grind the tires to dust.
I hope my Cadillac Lyriq AWD will be better on tires than my JEEP SRT and my HELLCAT were
The issue has nothing to do with tires and everything to do with proper alignment. So much misinformation here it's awful.
Gtechniq Tri Clean for the white seats, and the rest of the interior of the car. Thank me later.

Vehicle Virgins Great Video I'm glad Bridgestone made better tires for EV and I hope they work well
Ya but to bad they don’t make those tires in a 21 so good luck with that
Baby wipes work wonders on the seats.
Do you still have the mclaren
Use baby wipes on the seats. Leaves them a good a new.
Never change the outro music
Love the watch!!!
Where is the track pakage review
Hows the 600lt? Lets see a video about it!
They will be rock hard and have zero stick. Tesla burnouts coming
I'm no engineer, but It seems like this is just an alignment issue.
Bridgestone has not done a good job with their Turanza tires delivered with the ID3 🤕. Punctures all the time and very high wear. It can only get better ....
You can just go get it shimmed they take the camber off it's an easy fix i seen it done so many times online TH-cam
Great stuff, Parker!

I hope you're having a fantastic day Parker!
Great video
What the plate say?
“WE C I2I” = We see eye to eye. Pretty creative.
1:32 the problem never was the tires but the badly engineered Tesla rear suspensions that cannot set the camber properly.
:::facepalm:::
The issue could also be that he lowered it, which means when you launch it, the tires rub on the inside of the wheelwell, idk but could be.
@@crustybasterd1352 true!

Xl tire and runflat. Maybe solve The problems
Tesla faster then 600lt
Quicker than any McLaren, top speed is 350 or more with limitor removed so which McLaren is faster?
you probably didn't know this but if you have the youtube app on your phone, you could make a lot of money.
Still comparing a high-performance tire to an all season tire.
