Love seeing all the vehicle pops! You can't disrupt the wire guided missiles with smoke btw, it's only for the beam riders like kornet.
You can with ir smoke/turret smoke
you can disrupt SACLOS guidance on wire guided ATGMs in real life and in squad
@@ttocsic1235 I know you can do that IRL since they are guided by the IR beacon on the tail. The patch notes just worded it like it wasn't a thing in squad, listing IR smoke as weakness only for beam riders opposed to wire being snapped for wire guided. But I have never had vehicle pop smoke for my wire guideds after the patch so I could be very wrong.
@@speedo_gonzales9952The dev clarified on either Twitter or Discord that the smoke impacts both beam and wire guided.
This “makes sense” for both balance and authenticity reasons - the wire guided system needs to see the missile’s IR signature in order to compute what adjustments are needed to guide it in to hit

Woah, what kind of games does Moi record Eye in the Sky on? Was this like a game versus two clans or something of that sort?
FYI: Smoking a wire guided atgm (like the TOW) does not interrupt it. Smoke only interrupts laser guided.
As far as we have tested it does work for both. Even when the devs said it should only work for beam riding.

Which makes sense, as the wire guided needs to see the missile in order to compute the guide commands to send.
@@TheOtherOtherAccount thats not how a wire guided missile works at all. ALL guide commands come through the wire hence WIRE GUIDED. having to have line of sight is the price to pay for defeating ecm and smokes.
THIS is why you ONLY play Light Infantry, Support, or Air Assault on Skorpo. Armor gets funneled so hard on this map and can get picked off easy.
They are good when laying defend or to give long range covering fire from the hills or ar the shore, but u're right most of the time amoreds get fked in this map if they are not played right

С Русской стороны могу заметить сильнейшие огрехи в сторону CMD, Канада постаралась на славу, не только не потеряв высоту до конца игры, но и грамотно её используя. Fun fact: since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the Russian 205th MRB has been wiped out to the last person through attrition, including their commanding colonel, and reconstituted from mostly conscripts. They are also responsible for killing at least a whole company of their own men when they blew up the Zaphorizia dam but didn't tell dug in troops down river to evacuate from the flood (lots of video of this).

TOW controller needs to see the missile's beacon to guide it so smoke works.

The vehicle smoke works for both. The blog post said it only works for beam riding but for some reason it works for both beam riding and wire guided. It is unrealistic but good for gameplay.
@@R3BootYourMindit actually is “realistic”. The TOW needs to see the missiles IR signature in order to know where the missile is. Gotta know where it is in order to compute the commands to send while guiding it.

What an ATGM round
Anti Tank Guided Missile - like TOW, or Milan, fixed emplacement as opposed to LAT or HAT, Light or heavy Anti Tank, which are carried and fired mobile.
The armor should’ve been working with sniper units. That tank has his own ATGM. If they would’ve coordinated it better, they could’ve used that T 72 and hit those units right back.

it's so bad that no one with the bino spotted those ATGMs on the hills, bmps could fk those positions ezily, especially those ones are very open
It's the same problem with players in this game, they don't know to use the bino or map to check locations of friendlies, marked logies, tracks or heli for potential push/flank or ambushes. The best they can do is to shoot and ignore communication
A rifeman doing recn with the bino can spot movements 1 to 2 miles away with map checking at the same time, give that one FTL and let him do the job. That role can contribute 50% to your team strategy win (10% depend on Squadleaders, 10% to Inf average skills, 10% to Vic crews and 20% on the Commander)
While I whole heartedly agree that FTL's fail to mark enough you can see the ATGM marker on that position when Moi opens his map at 17:52. The marker is a little off, being a bit south west of the actual TOW position, but it's not as if the team didn't know they were in that area. You can also here them talking about it in Russian command chat. My opinion is it was more of an execution fail vs. not knowing where the Canadian TOWs were. Like I said, your point is still valid in that FTLs seem to want the position but sometimes don't listen to squad chat and stop what they're doing to mark their maps. Much intel is lost.

I didn't think IR smoke works on wire-guided TOWs, just the laser guided ones.
It works on both - the devs clarified this on discord.
I cannot stand when bad pilots take the helicopter(s) and lose it within the first few minutes of a round. Its a giant setback and a slap in the face for the actual pilots

Jeez how bad the players on both teams are. Canadians place probably one of the worst tow fobs I have seen on skorpo with their radio sticking out so it could be shot from afar. Russians SEE IT but still keep rolling their IFVs into that TOW fob and wonder - where do they get shot from (I dont want to mention taking advantage of that radio placement by shooting it).
