Why hate that the show is getting the views it deserves? Maybe in the future if enough ppl brought attention to mtvdowntown they might make a second season
As much as I would love the show to have more episodes now that it’s popular..it just won’t be the same if they were to cast different voices actors for certain characters 🙁
@@tartpickpleit's what happened to clone high. It got really popular on tiktok. People didn't really understand Abe's character and hated him. That's why in the reboot he gets dogged on. And why the reboot doesn't work. Obviously there's more to it than just that, but it is a big contributing factor to the reboot's failure.
I wonder if the immense popularity of Downtown on TH-cam will result in the show getting a season 2, sort of in the same way Clone High finally got a season 2 after becoming popular on TikTok. However, the second season of Clone High being as horrible as it was and upsetting so many of the fans who'd been waiting so long for a continuation of the series makes me question whether I even want a season 2 of Downtown, along with the risk of it being bad, or if I want the show to stay dead *but* remembered and cherished as a great piece of art and be used as an inspiration and modle for current and future show creators when making their shows.
Clone high season was sadly a painful watch. Id imagine the best scenario for MTV Downtown would be either just stay as a good memory or maybe a spiritual successor, where you could have some characters appear as secondary characters, because otherwise how are you gonna make a new show without Goat or Chaka. Problem also arises that one of the main writers also passed away, that could still create the vibe of the show.
I watch this show in april on youtube, after i finished it i looked up some of the actors to see what else they were in, and saw chalkas voice actress had died the day before. really messed up she was only 43.
Makes me happy seeing a sort of revival of shows like these thanks to the awesome communities online, unfortunately I wasn't able to see this when it was airing since I was a lot younger but I'm gald I can finally catch up on this stuff now
Ykw wouldve been a cool idea if they continued the show was maybe going to different cities’ “downtown” not saying characters had to be new every season but it would’ve been something different. Like MTV downtown and season 2 was chicago
Shout-out to Instagram bc I saw a clip of Serena talking to Alex and I so interested, I looked at the comments to see what's the show is called and bam I found it on TH-cam. Such a good show and so sad it came to an end so early
dude I love this show so much, watched all 13 episodes on shrooms and I feel like the characters are the most casual and relatable I've seen in a work of fiction. I also had a cool twister interaction with the creator of the show.
Downtown was a hell of a show. I remember me and my friends watching it when I were like 10. Such a great show. Too bad we didn't get more episodes or us getting anything as chill and cool as this (sadly probably has to do with the time period aswell).
i have the same inquire of trying to find a song. its in episode 10 at 9:24 i know ive heard it outside of downtown but its so short and theres no lyrics i have no idea who it could be out of EVERY pre 2000s band
