"Good Christian men rejoice, the beeb are back in town" - Well with 2020 Songs of Praise that has changed, as the BBC have really dumped this show into the lunchtime forgotten slot on a Sunday and don't really bother with the hymn singing part in a church anymore.
@TheRenaissanceman65 I'll be honest, I do love the sound of a British choir, so I'd have probably have loved Songs of Praise when it was on in the more traditional format, so this news saddens me.
Never a truer word preached!!!
I laughed til I cried when this first aired. It's still my favorite skit from the show!
I love the slow build up of anger!
“WHERE WERE YOU BASTARDS THEN???”
Whenever I’m channel surfing on a Sunday and I come across Songs Of Praise I think of this sketch.
It's one their funniest skits - hilarious!
Tin of spaghetti!! Brilliant!
1:04 - The organist Mr Posner was a joke from the production team, as their director was Geoff Posner.
What the priests on songs of praise are really thinking
I'd forgotten about this sketch and just how funny it was.
Brilliant.
He good at shouting
He looks so young.
If Blackadder was a priest this would be his services 24/7 lol
It would have been even better if 387 was the first number on the board.

I'm guessing because of Covid?
Honestly guessing here, I'm American. :)
@@Boskov01 They moved Songs of Praise ages before the pandemic. They didn't want it clogging up the lead in to Sunday prime time viewing.

Also, their new theme tune is no where near as good as the old one (the one on this). BBC dont take for religion anymore
