i actually for work for some one like this 1hr hard work and 7hrs to myself with a half hour lunch break the catch is a 5hr round trip commute each day on public transport I can handle that
When he said "west-Berlin" and not just west in Berlin it suddenly hit me that Germany was still divided at the time of the filming of this scene... Puts things in perspective i think.
Those of us who grew up with two Berlins have to remember that it's just one now lol. But this is a great show! I think I've seen most of the episodes. Not sure.
Who would ever say "west in Berlin"? I mean, people say "South London" all the time, and the city isn't exactly divided. Also, all of Berlin (including West Berlin) was in East Germany; the division of the city was geographically (though not politically, of course) independent of the division of the country.
Thought I was the only one. Find it cosy watching this, whilst they talk about getting rest, going out for some shopping, coming back for more sleep, sleep, sleep and more sleep.
Find the one where Hugh plays as an interviewer who spends the night in some notable public figure's bed after interviewing them. It's hilarious. I think his character is called Steven Mosstin or something.
lol This reminds me of the Golgofrincham from The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy who liked to take baths all the time, only with sleep in its place. XD
Caius Cossades in Balmora vibes. "Before you meet the informant you'll be wanting to look around town, buy some armor, get the hang of enchantments and so on, maybe join a guild. You can sleep in my bed if you need to of course! Here's five hundred drakes..."
Do you mean the Swiss play from ABoFaL? I go along with you so far as Stephen may have a little clue what he is saying (he's the one who learnt the whole old languages canon at school). But I still think when it comes to pronunciation, Hugh can pronounce the sounds I mentioned above better and in the Swiss play, although Hugh messed up on the verb riechen, his sentence structure was by far harder than Stephen's.
That guy's really got a knack for languages! I know Stephen's got German ancestry, but it's Hugh who's perfect at pronunciation. His "Ernst Schlesser" couldn't be any better: great r-sound, sharp s, and l not pronounced from the throat. And he didn't say Ernst like a Brit would pronounce the Er- in Ernest.
Me watching this at 1:00 am, when I know I have school tomorrow... I think this is definitely an obvious sign from the universe, telling me to go to bed. 😂
I'm sorry, i was a bit tired, and fell asleep during this video. Did i miss anything important, or should i just add it to my 'Watch later' list and move on. I really need to relax a little.
Organising your schedule when you have severe depression
Wow. Way to hit me where it hurts.
or if you have narcolepsy
Bloody sleeper agents
Oh. My. Good. I am so dense.
th-cam.com/video/8X_Ot0k4XJc/w-d-xo.html
...oh my god, i’m a moron.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who needed this comment to get it.
Oh, now I get it hahaha
The importance of sleep can't be overstated.
Literally can't be overstated
Mostly under cover work, is it?
Thank you so much.
Excellent!
You see, a long lie-down is key. As far down as possible, in fact.
One must lie low for however long it takes for the enemy to drop his guard.
This is actually an excellent strategy, be so consistently mad and relaxed that the enemy doesn’t suspect a thing.
Brings a new meaning to “a sleeper agent.”
Holy shit, you're right. That's likely the joke they were working off of.
Sounds exactly like something they'd play off of
of the off of
'It was like you to say that Richard, very like you. In fact, I could have sworn it was you for a minute.' XD
I'll watch this after I take a nap.
travisbaskerfield Or you can take a nap after you watch this. You know what, I'm
gonna leave that kind of detail up to you.
@@FJB_USA_1ST I took a nap before I replied to this comment, my boss told me to do so.
Just in time for your after-nap nap
I’m going to take a nap before during and after 💤
Is your nap over yet? Did you have a good sleep?
You can never be over-slept or over-considerate. - Stephen Fry, I imagine, at some point during the writing of this sketch.
Where can i find a boss like this?
i actually for work for some one like this

I can handle that
I work for a Chinese firm. I get a 15 minute break every quarter of an hour.
Cristi Neagu I know right!
British government. they'll see you right
Stephen Fry for Boss of the Year, anyone?
Might be a good idea, but until we're sure, we'd best sleep on it

Makes ya think.

Your intelligence and culture startles me
@@sebastienh1100 Thanks

The most clashing tie and shirt combination the world has ever seen.
This is the kind of laid back boss I've been looking for..
The agent is a 'sleeper' geddit?
TheJamesBernie OHHHHHHHHH
I didn't ever get that until right now.
Who works “under cover”...
TheJamesBernie LOL! Brilliant! I didn't catch that until you said it.
I wish my professors were this considerate.
I find this weirdly relaxing. Must search for more sleep encouragement videos. Pretty niche though.
check out the Matt Berry relaxation podcast on TH-cam

@@bnsyphotography2104 I’m watching this tucked up in bed 😊 goodnight 💤
de-brief XD can't believe i didn't catch that before
"It's way past my bedtime."
Oh my gosh, how cute are you?
‘Good, because you mustn’t!’
This made me burst out laughing
lol i love stephen's tie!!
"no time for shelves where you're going!" brilliant :)
I don't think there's anything more lovely and pink and moist and fluffy and shiny and special than Stephen Fry
That's not what came to mind when I read those adjectives.
Those are some very unique adjectives to describe Stephen Fry.
Listen I know you posted this like almost 9 years ago. but what does this mean?
@@TheOverexplainerth-cam.com/video/kzTTO6abhVo/w-d-xo.html
4 minutes 19 second of laughing. I think I deserve a nap.
Stephen's tie!
Micah Newman I want it
Micah Newman looks like a beach ball
It’s gorgeous
The tie.
I love Stephen's tie... so random.

Click thumbs up before even a word is spoken with these two gentlemen. 💜

This is the prequel
Haha good one
Watching this sketch for the first time ever - and I'm in bed! Nighty night

This is Art!
What I wouldn’t do for a boss like that
the shelf line is phenomenal

It was just the captain ... 9 years is a long time, isn't t it. One is never alone with a rubber duck 🦆
Cheers 👍🏻🤝🏻🇳🇱
Aawww, now I want debriefing.
This is a great title.
Hugh in that outfit looks like House lol.. HUGH LAURIE IS HOT!!
One well-rested job.
this is bloody genius...
Heh he Stephen's everyone's ideal boss here :)
The hell is this? Live-action procrastination?
Sleeper agents at work...
Chris Fuentes Well, it’s
now this is my *ideal boss*
That job sounds good
If there's something worth doing it's worth doing tomorrow.
Fancy a rest?
I don't know why that's so funny
and that tie! ^^
Brilliant humor
He totally gets Hugh with that last line.
This is my life...
as a highschooler, i cannot relate to this.
I'd love to have him as my boss!
Right, that video's sorted! Now I'll just go and have a bit of a lie down!
the perfect boss for an architecture student
It was archaeology and anthropology, wasn't it? 🤣
The perfect boss for anyone!
Nice tie, Stephen!
Tony Murchison love your name :-)
This is what kind of boss I want
Feel I need to get my head down after that little lot.
Dude, what a great job this would be! All expense paid sleep, naps, and lunch.
So handsome 😘
I'm exhausted after watching that.
I am SO qualified for this secret service
Hugh Laurie was about to laugh @3:26 yeah?.. haha. HUGH LAURIE, AWESOME.. AWESOME! :)
This seems like a game show, a chat show, and a sketch about a headmaster or an escort agency all at once.
Escort agency?
What a dream job.
this is how plan my schedules
@tjf4375 yeh i was just gonna say how great it is to find a boss like this :)
My ears exploaded in the start...
are there any openings in the British secret service? I like the jd
By Stephen :3
A 20 minute drive that requires a stop over for a nap 😂😂. British secret service operatives sure fatigue very easily 😂
A lot can happen in 20 minutes! Episodes of Secret Agent (Danger Man) used to be over in 30!
This should be played at 0.75 speed
Sounds like a kindly-phrased retirement, lol...
This life of cloak and dagger is about my speed.
Meanwhile Universities are like: well there are 24 hours in a day, aren't there?
Is that an exam question?
Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie

and apparently I've already made that comment... oh well!
I want to work for that employer.
This sounds like the job for me.
As a former soldier I dreamt of orders of this kind. And Wolfgang actually sold Bratwursts.
this was shown in governments, not as a sketch, but an informative movie

*Is it small hearts of different colors on his tie?🧐*

The end was brilliant, why would audience shut up just then xD
Love a boss to him Id have as
His nose looks less crooked as he ages, for some reason it's the only thing I can focus on right now.
My idea of a good boss.
Schedule for the spies suffering from ME
How do I get this job?
"Wolfgang" sounds kind of menacing and exotic in English. Although really it is kind of a super-cheesy name. Just for info.
Wolvewalk :-D
British secret agents sure seem to require a lot of sleep!
sleeper agent haha
It's 1:20.
