good luck man! you got this. just keep in mind the difference between tracer and sombra when you position -- sombra has high ground access and essentially unlimited range, whereas tracer is more grounded and has to spend blinks to get further in. therefore, positioning on high ground away from your team is great against tracer, but makes you a free pick against a sombra if your team is too far to peel
I'm kinda sick of that one guy complaining about LW. One of those times he was at around 1/5th of his health pool and he only got pulled back maybe 10 feet so he was behind a wall. You weren't going to do anything special there anyways, once you landed you would've had the same view approximately that you did after grip, there was nothing to eat. Also - if that guy thinks tank players don't have a voice he's not listening to anybody else talking. Everybody says those type of things (except the mobility thing since that's not a good idea).
The biggest issue with Hero bans, comes down to the game not having enough heros for this to be an issue. Example, 3 bans per team, seems reasonable. What if each team bans only supports, as of posting there are 10 supports total. Imagine a game where your only support options are Lucio, Moira, Mercy and Zen. There are also 12 tanks in the game, really limiting what people could potentially play. In League of Legends, we used to have 3 bans done by one person on the team, who would always ban who counters their champion in lower ranks, causing a massive differential in team play just in selection. Now we have 5 per team, and each player does 1. We cant do that in Over Watch because we "COULD" ban all supports. The only way to implement a system like that for overwatch as it is now and be 'fair' is if each person can ban 1 hero from their role. So there would be 2 tank bans, 4 DPS and 4 support. Matchmaking would be slowed down greatly by this since the lobby would take a few minutes to do, given we give 30 seconds a player, thats three minutes extra to ANY GAME. Maybe you could que prebanning a character? Maybe, but what happens if two people que prebanning a specific hero, does the hero get double banned, or do they just not que into each other? If they cant que into each other, is that exploitable at high ranks where ques are much tighter. Overwatch needs to have about 15 heros for each role before banning could even be thought of a possibility, and needs to see if any potential added time from it is worth it.
A banning strategy that’s an option is what I saw in Omega Strikers. You declare your ban when you choose a role It randomly bans one of the picks as you load into the game, 1 per team. Idk how they’d do it with 5 picks but it’s an option.
Oh that's a cool idea. Basically what you are saying is that everyone chooses who they would like to be banned, but it gets randomly chosen between those selections. So instead of it being random on who gets to choose, it's randomised between everyones preferences. I kind of like that, you're cooking here.
About the bating part with ana i totally agree, i usually baiting kiriko using her suzu with sleep and nade right after or just sleep her + 1 shot she will use suzu right after that.
I don’t think they should introduce hero bans, but him saying that metal ranks will ban characters that get value for just existing is a solid argument *for* hero bans.

@@cagxplays9602 That's neither a point the person in the video was making nor one of mine. But to answer your question: You just need to be better to make it viable. @@royceblack6752 Funny thing is, I'm a ball enjoyer. It doesn't matter how good you get at him, it's incredibly hard to miss him with stuns and the only counter play you have is just rolling around and hoping they miss, avoiding shooting and not using piledriver, which is just a really awful experience. If you get actively punished for shooting or using your abilities, there's clearly something wrong with the balance there. I would agree somewhat though, most things can be improved upon with skill, but there's only so much you can do when a character is in a really bad state and the enemy actually knows how to counter you. Get a game full of one tricks who don't care to swap? Youre probably good, but usually they just switch to counter the tank on the very first death. re: off healer and main healer: that is not the categorization!!! it's main support and flex support, and it's not about healing output, its about the utility that defines the comp. brig, zen, mercy, lucio are all main supports because their utility and playstyle generally defines the comp -- flex supports like ana, moira, and bap, while having better synergy with some comps than others, are generally more interchangeable with each other -- in a brawl comp, you could switch any of them out for the other and have it be mostly fine, but losing the lucio speed on the rein is devastating to the comp the naming scheme is super counterintuitive but it's what the entire scrim scene uses

I would say as a support player that in plat its for the most part a combination of a support and tank issue. As said a lot of support will not swap of their moira or mercy. But the tanks are not used to face other supports like a zen or ana and gets absolutely shredded. Dps players in plat are adorable, they most likely got their never expecting heals, i see them run for health packd thr moment they take 10% damage. And they get so happy if you decide to pocket them. Edit: the tanks are also not used to playing with an ana or zen. Many times has my super mobile tank on winston doom or dva flown of the spawn door and is fighting the enemy team on their side of the spawn, dies and wonder why my ana that is still running from spawn did not heal them.
The thing with the hero bands would be that is they made either a) a real streamer mode or b) did bans before you were shown teams, is would be good to counter op heroes (like mauga the last few weeks or release brig) and would switch up the meta because meta heroes could be banned. Everything should be a factor, especially considering that many ranked players are one tricks. Blizzard wants to balance their game, not cause everyone to uninstall.
its kind of funny because tiktokers at the beginning wereall basically us at the start of ow1, with terrible memes and bad takes, but nowadays their memes have become funny to us because they have slowl learned the game and now better understand it.
For the hero ban thing, isn't the discussion just basically the loading screen/ hero selection screen before the match in Paladins? How will implementing this be hard if it already exists and they know people know it exists?
Like, its already limited to a max of two in lower ranks, and 4 as you go up the ranks, but everything about the opponent side is hidden. Nametag, level of play, mastery level, everything is hidden until the match starts. I believe this is a system that should be fairly easy to implement, especially for the multi-billion but still small indie game company.
29:00 i see where he is coming from, but i disagree. where we are at, there are numerous hard counters, and some heroes shut off others, but i don't know if the solution is reducing diversity. it might be better for balance, but it's less fun overall. for example, doomfist is a hero that is fun _because_ of how different he is. it's really hard to tune him to be anything but dive. same case with, for example, sigma. the variety of different tanks is the main reason i like the role. edit: upon further reflection, i actually think it could work if you make some small changes. i think their goal should be to make heroes strong in 2 of the 3 different comps. for example, make d.va a brawl/dive character (more than she is right now) and make sigma a poke brawl character (somehow). that way the 2 tanks have more counterplay between each other and more room to be played.

People complaining about “mobility creep” in overwatch is so funny. Like they needed a problem to whine about so they target arguably one of the most fun parts of any game… also, every time someone mentions going back to 6v6 I can’t help but to roll my eyes and skip until they stop talking about it. The 6v6 conversation is played out and irrelevant because it’s never going to happen.
Yes please don’t do hero pick/bans and a draft lobby. Definitely don’t do that. It’s not like every other successful moba does that. Ow kids are just dumb as hell. Being able to swap champs all match is the reason this game is so dog wash in a 5v5 setting.
The Sombra guy was absolutely correct , I was hope that would be fixed by the rework but they think that Hack is her core ability, imo hack should be an ult thing only like she has on EMP, Sombra is a very poorly designed character that is awful to play against, all she does is remove fun from the game by not letting you play, this type of abilities like hack should never be on such a short CD.
Homogenizing tank heroes into the same cookie cutter mold is a horrible opinion because then you completely lose the individuality that makes the heroes of overwatch special.
the guy talking about supports being to strong and counter swapping tanks shoudl make an effort to have an original idea for a video instead of spewing what everyone else is
Ugh, there's always gonna be counter swapping in a game with diverse characters and abilities. Interaction between these abilities is the whole point. If that's too much, go play CSGO or Valorant where there's nothing but shooting
I'm not going go lie I just troll games and throw unless I'm with someone and then I try. I stop trying because I could be doing well and get flamed or could not even be the issue and still get flamed. why not be the problem at least then someone who's doing well won't get flamed and I get to not care if I'm being raged at.
If they copied seige 1:1 on their ban system it would be fine. If you need to play a very specific way or you lose then you didnt deserve to win anyway. The one tricking argument only works for people that have a brand centered around them playing that specific hero. If youre an average andy that just plays the game, learn more heroes.
I don't disagree but if a character you love a lot is never in the meta, when do you actually get to play them if you are expected to pick someone else?
I dont understand... they dont want people to counter swap? Their the ones who made the heros with their abilites that directly counter eachother right? Countering and certain people shutting down other ones is literally the whole game. I dont get it. Is it just because people whine about getting counter picked? They understand they can counter too right? Or swap to a character who breaks that counter cycle?

Damn all these clips are so old. Would better if these hadn't already been watched to death by other streamers.
the looping meta in shorts and tiktoks are so cringe I'm glad I got to hear u say "and that's why" "and this is why" before I stop listening to you.
The Sombra guy was absolutely correct , I was hope that would be fixed by the rework but they think that Hack is her core ability, imo hack should be an ult thing only like she has on EMP, Sombra is a very poorly designed character that is awful to play against, all she does is remove fun from the game by not letting you play, this type of abilities like hack should never be on such a short CD.
pookie
I agree, sombra ruins the game
You should only be able to see the name of the player after the game ends so there’s no toxic ban counters. Or bullies
If that's too much, go play CSGO or Valorant where there's nothing but shooting
yo
I'm not going go lie I just troll games and throw unless I'm with someone and then I try. I stop trying because I could be doing well and get flamed or could not even be the issue and still get flamed. why not be the problem at least then someone who's doing well won't get flamed and I get to not care if I'm being raged at.
firstish
