Not necessarily. Depends on your starting point, composure and confidence. I say shoot for the stars, aim for closing roles, be open to setting roles, if the closing role does great then continue what you are doing cause you are crushing but if it goes wrong then you know where your at and can go for setting to build up to closing. I was awkward, english profiency wasnt there and shy so i built up from setter to closer and it worked out perfectly. If you have customer facing experience then shoot for the stars man
@@DavidGiang Bro thank you very much I really appreciate it. I am from Germany and we have a closer academy here who guarantee you a job at one of their partner companies. It's stated in the contract that they have to give you a job after the education. Should I go for it and what is your general opinion on those 3-month closer mentorings ? Because some people say you can't learn closing in a few months but the academy seems legit and I like that they guarantee a job Afterwards. Did you do a closer Coaching/Mentoring ?
Bro are still working as a remote closer ? How is it going ? Whats your experience after more times has passed ? Have been watching a lot of your videos
Thank you for watching my videos and staying updated on my journey! I'm making the transition. From remote closer to running on my own, bumpy road is what I can say. As everybody else I'm figuring it out on the way. The additional experience since is too much to write in a comment, but you can research "RevOps" and "GTM Strategies" on google to get an idea to how im expanding.
@@DavidGiang nice bro wish you the best with that ! Did you transition because the work as a closer can be to stressfull or monotonous sometimes ? Or you just thnik there is more earning potential with your new path ?
@@undercover3808 I'm still in sales. I just know what I'm adding will bring more value to corporations and with more value, you'll have deal flexibility, not just working around commission but retainers, bases, performance bonuses, equity, milestones as such. I think equity plays a big part in building wealth and purely as a performance based closer, its hard to negotiate equity as thats just one skillset.
Always love talking with you David!
ayyyy two of our favorite people!!!
Scott is a fantastic human being!!
This is a great interview!
Should I start as a setter before being a closer ?

I’d love to get involved in being in high ticket sales. Is there a way to reach out to you for mentorship?
You can send me a message on FB. Mentorship is not always the answer or right step, there are tons of resources I can send you

@@DavidGiang interesting, seems that this is the next logical step after years of closing
