The Guide I Used To Start In Remote Sales
Here's The Guide I Used To Start In Remote Sales, all the way back from 2021 ish to today with added strategies I've learnt over the years.
I have planned this video for a long time. I scratched the first final version that got to 2,5 hrs coz it had too much fluff. This is the 2nd version more to the point and covers everything. Speed it up to 2x and take what you can.
If this video is not enough for you to start alone and you need extra coaching that I can't give you, book a call with the sales mastermind that took me to where I'm at:

      I joined communities and networked. Met one person that was willing to introduce me to a sales manager of a tech company, interviewed and hired with no prior experience. The sales manager now is a real good friend, he told me a year later why he hired me was because I'm calm under pressure. Startups/ companies at $100-300k/mo, usually 5-6 sales people from my experience have prioritized personal traits over paper experience. If you are too "overqualified" they suspect you wont stick around for long and will jump at the next best opportunity. There are companies out there, FB, LinkedIn, IG and its all about how you present yourself and carry a conversation

I just know what I'm adding will bring more value to corporations and with more value, you'll have deal flexibility, not just working around commission but retainers, bases, performance bonuses, equity, milestones as such. Hi, great video. How would you suggest a 17 yr old guy(me) to get into sales. I am genuinely very passionate, curious and interested into sales, and willing to work totally for free just in order to gain experience and most importantly, knowledge. How did you learn sales? Was there some exact way, like, paid trainings/coachings/masterminds/courses/books all that + practice or just by practice ?

    • @DavidGiang
      @DavidGiang 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, I will suggest that working for free is not the right move. Trainings/ coachings/ masterminds/ courses/ books.. all of these things are great but the more important experience is to find a company with good leadership and learn from/ with them. That's how I improved the most. And when you are in a role, then the books/ additional sales coaching really helps as you have the company's script together with your own real conversations with prospects to reference and relisten to. So find a good reputable company, land the role and soak in all the training - coaching programs and masterminds are just extras imo. I landed a role at 18/19 with no experience and what they taught me then is still what I use today. You can send me a message on instagram if you want more advice, books, masterminds, coaching as such as I've done quite a few programs in high ticket sales.

    • @DavidGiang
      @DavidGiang 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They do. What's important that many employers worry about is accent and internet connection. If you have a strong accent it will be harder to put your name in the hat for certain companies. Find companies that hire internationally, there are companies that prefer to hire from UK, US, AUS, CA etc. (english speaking countries), ignore them and keep looking for those open to hire where you are located. Just make sure that you properly show that you are willing to work, able to work and can perform the work they are requiring you to do and you have a good chance of succeeding

      Not necessarily. Depends on your starting point, composure and confidence. I say shoot for the stars, aim for closing roles, be open to setting roles, if the closing role does great then continue what you are doing cause you are crushing but if it goes wrong then you know where your at and can go for setting to build up to closing. I was awkward, english profiency wasnt there and shy so i built up from setter to closer and it worked out perfectly. If you have customer facing experience then shoot for the stars man

Let me know if you tried anything yet, easier to help you at least find a starting point with more info. Objectively Remote Closing is a good start. When you see it for what it is, it is Sales and sales in business has good uses in any position or role you walk into. Builds a lot of confidence in speaking and presenting. If you want to start a business - sales is very useful (I'm starting a business myself now after 2 years closing and found my first client within a week). Many use cases, depends on what your endgame is though in what you want to have accomplished etc.

      @@dhairyasheth Thanks for your feedback Dhairya, I respect your own limitations and opinions, if you said it was too much for you, I would totally understand, to say it's too much for a beginner I would challenge that completely. We've had over 300 "beginners" commit the resources to join UCM. We pride ourselves on making the pricing as accessible as possible without sacrificing the quality and work with people to offer different pricing options. I understand this might be out of reach for some, but we've had people from all over the globe leverage resourcefulness to gain access to UCM and see amazing returns one of our top students has seen over 30,000% ROI. We will continue to work towards making the best training as accessible as possible but this is a Career transition, when you compare UCM to the cost of other programs or other avenues in which to generate a 6 figure income, we are extremely competitive.

    Would you agree that starting out as an appointment setter is a great way to build confidence and learn the skill required to eventually transition to being a sales rep or a “closer”?

    • @DavidGiang
      @DavidGiang ปีที่แล้ว

      100%. That is the route I took myself. I owe a lot of success to my days being a setter then transitioning to a closer role. You will have to feel that within yourself. I tend to say aim high and if that means trying a closer position, so be it... to see if you pull through or not. Best scenario you pull through and is in a good place. Worst thing is you realize you need more confidence and repetitions, go for setting positions.
