I work the kitchen at Culver’s: Here’s what I notice. •We only butter the crown, but toast both the crown (top) and heel (bottom) •Everything goes on the bottom bun. •A deluxe is Onions, mayo, pickles, lettuce and tomato. Mayo spread evenly, two pickles, two onions, shredded lettuce, and a slice of tomato. •How you cook the meat was wonderful and overall impressed

You are the man!! Thank you so much. I am Brazilian, living between São Paulo and Illinois. I always say to my Brazilian friends and family that no burger in Brazil is as good as culver's butterburgers. I've tried everything to replicate, unsuccessful, until your video! Your seasoning recipe is the best! It makes all difference! I literally felt like eating at Culvers right in my first bite! Once more, thank you!
I absolutely love it! I'm from Germany and when I visited Culvers for the first time,I fell in love with their burgers~ Now I can make them myself ♡ thank you!
I just can't help but smile. I am a grill cook at Culver's, and seeing one of my favorite TH-cam cooks make what I make daily gives me such a thrill!! Thank you, thank you!
Made this recipe several times, just about to again today. I always come back for your seasoning mix. These are hands down the best homemade burgers, much preferred over the thick ones!
Here in Tucson AZ, Culver's serve their burgers with mayo, tomato, pickles, shredded lettuce and red onions; no mustard or ketchup. I made these today for lunch at home, and my husband was very happy! He said that it was the best cheeseburger I have ever made! I made triple cheeseburgers using your method, and they were very delicious!! I'm so glad I've found your video! Thank you very much!!😊
My family has been sad to not have Culver's during this quarantine, but thanks to your video I now feel confident enough to try it on my own. Thank you so much!
I was looking for a video that can answer my questions related to burger and astonished that you answered everything I wanted to know. I can't thank you enough about what you do. My family would truly appreciate your work pretty soon. Yum~
I want to tell you this was an amazing VIDEO dude Im not Gumpy I know how to make a big juicy burger but you taught me how to make them nice and thin. Saves meat makes alot more. Thanks man!
I work at Culvers and let me tell you. It’s pretty spot on. The only thing is, is that when pressing the burger, make it as thin as the size of the bun top which is 4 inches. So a 4 in burger is how wide we make them
Move to UK and open a restaurant with me. You are amazing bro!! Best channel ever, cant wait to watch all of your videos! Seen 6 up to now! Amazing bro! Love the turkey meatloaf!!
Culver's is really the only fast food place that does smashed burgers. Their burgers aren't just FF burgers either, it's got great quality. The place also serves different varieties of shakes and chicken dinners but their stuff is mainly the butter burgers.
I was travelling through Sauk City back when Badger Army Ammo Plant was still open, and I actually MET the Culvers at their original store. Nice folks. I stop at Culver's when I see one, more because of their service ethic than for the fact that I also love their products. I know how to make most of these things at home, pretty much the way they do, and sure, I can do it a lot less expensively, but hey, they have nice places, and I just plain enjoy going there.
Tried this recipe out today. It went great, best burger I've made. The only trouble I had was the watering the bottom of the pot trick. The burger still liked to stick to it. Next time I may try coating it in oil or Pam.
I’m from East Texas and we don’t have any where I’m from. I went to Ohio for 4 days and I ate Culver’s 5 times because I was so obsessed. I NEED to make this burger lol, I’ve never had anything like it before.
honestly, Jason, I had a lot of good burgers, especially Griff's, who make the best in my opinion, but this burger you made looks so freaking good. thanks for showing me!
damn i looked it up and was glad it was this channel that made it ive moved from homes for school and am glad i can finally make these havent had them in a year or so
This burger has all the things I love on it! We have a place who makes their burgers like this. The press it between two plates and it is really delicious. Great video! xo
Thanks Crouton crackerjacks for sharing this recipe, growin' up out west in the Beehive State I had no idea Culver's and their yummy butterburgers existed! Trying these out at home thanks to you! :)
Subbed. Greetings from Wisconsin. Was craving a double deluxe but Culver's is closed cause it's 2am 😂 Made two delicious burgers. I LOVE the measurement cup patty technique!!!!
I am always the highlight of my midwestern friend group cuz I worked in a culvers kitchen for 2 years 🤣Best job experience that transfers to real life haha!
Culvers actually puts all of their condiments on the bottom bun. We also don’t butter both buns, just the crown or the top, we also don’t grill our buns. we have a toaster that does it for us, however sometimes we have to use the grill but even then we don’t grill them in butter. another thing, we don’t put ketchup and mustard on our deluxe. Great effort tho!
Wow I'm here 7 years after your publish date of vid! Thank you. Yours looks like a CBB. I used the 1/3 cup to measure them out. But I also weighed them out. Which using the pre-packaged 1lb grass fed ground beef came out to be, 3 of them at 2.7oz and 3 at 2.8oz. But mine failed due to heat not high enough. Will try again using a bit of Olive Oil with the butter so I be at ease with higher temp. Also used the bottom of a heavier 1Qt sauce pan to press them out.
I order the Culvers Deluxe often. The video was great and your Burger looked like an actual Culvers Deluxe...except for one thing, there is NO KETCHUP, NO MUSTARD. Instead, Culvers adds mayonnaise which is why I LOVE IT!! Thanks for the great tutorials! This is from the Culvers website: The Culver's Deluxe Recipe No. 4 We start with fresh, never frozen, Midwest-raised beef. Layer on real Wisconsin cheese, crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, pickles, sweet red onion and our signature mayo. Then cap with a lightly buttered, toasted bun. It's our ButterBurger® at its best.
Dear Crouton, I really admire your cooking and I loved your videos. It helped me cook nearly perfect food and made me a great cook. I highly recommend that you should make a TV-Show in AFC (Asian Food Channel) and I agree that people will love your cooking and your show and I cant believe after I watched your videos since 2014 I did not subcribe to you. :DD
I've been doing this with my buns lately and found that the burger tastes much better this way. However, the question I have is that I use 85/15 for the actual burger but I cook them on the George Foreman grill. Does the cooking time differentiate or should I cook them for a shorter time since both sides are cooking at the same time? I've been on a burger kick lately and they really hit the spot!

Idk why but him saying we cook it in butter made me kinda triggered me.
Do you guys actually use lawrys seasoning?
I never ate one and we don't have butter burger frenchise in the California, so I have to end up making it like this at home 😪
You just saved family's and life's with this video. Not all heroes wear capes, but most of them do wear aprons.

He didn't flavor the hamburger meat.

I want that burger you just made to be my last meal when it's my time. Wow...just...........wow. I LIVE for those crispy-edged burgers. God yes.
Who ever is benefitting from your cooking is a very lucky person or persons..Really enjoy your video's....
I have a serious addiction to Culver's. I have recently been trying to make my own and this will help tremendously. Thank you 😀
Not really because he didn't season the hamburger.
He did season it with a mixture of Lawry's and pepper@@imblessed4623
Made this recipe several times, just about to again today. I always come back for your seasoning mix. These are hands down the best homemade burgers, much preferred over the thick ones!
Thanks for the demo. Wisconsin's favorite fast food restaurant. Real food.

It's a Wisconsin thing

This is still my favorite recipe of yours. I haven't made burgers any other way since! My kids love them too!!
Thank you for showing us how to make this, this is what I call Burger Heaven!
What is the length of the patties when cooked? Just need to know what size bun to make / buy, cheers!
Killer burger Jason. This style of patties are very prevalent in Central IL. This rocks.
I work at Culvers and let me tell you. It’s pretty spot on. The only thing is, is that when pressing the burger, make it as thin as the size of the bun top which is 4 inches. So a 4 in burger is how wide we make them
Every descriptive word he gave of hamburger stimulates my saliva systemmmmm gosh
