I put in Bodbyn off white in my laundry room a few years ago. Looks great. Wife loves it. I’m going to put it in my basement kitchen and someday my main kitchen. It really seems to hold up.
I think Vedhamn has two things NOT going for it: 1) it is not white, 2) it's has the highest price of them all. I like it, however. I'm not a fan of things which "look like something it's not", so real wood like Vedhamn...I love 💕
Thanks for sharing the information. It is interesting to have a look at the materials listed for the top choices on the Ikea website: Axstad - Main parts: Fiberboard - Frontside: Plastic foil (min. 90% recycled) - Backside: Melamine foil Dodbyn - Fiberboard, Polyester paint, Acrylic paint Ringhult - Front: Fiberboard - Front side: Plastic foil (min. 70% recycled) - Back side: Melamine foil - Edge: Plastic edging The surface of Bodbyn is paint while the others are plastic foil.
We had Axstad Matte white in our kitchen, I regret it because the matte shows finger smudges pretty bad. I noticed the same thing at Ikea in the sample kitchens *AFTER* we noticed it in our kitchen. I would go with the Off white, shiny if I did it again. I also noticed the shiny cabinets at ikea didn't show smudges.
I imagine you have to look at the type of people/demographic that you are typically installing for. I can imagine an older demographic would tend toward the safe colours. The whites and the so-called shaker style doors. The younger ones who try to install it themselves may choose more less traditional colours and styles.
...opened up my first box last night and "Enkoping" knocked my socks off 👍
Hopefully in a good way 😜
Just finished my Bodbyn Gray kitchen!
Excellent choice. A big chunk of my previous clients are in favour of your color and style preference ☺️🙏

Good choice. Keeps up very well 👍
Always a pleasure to watch, I’m often the first to reply since I started watching you. 👍 You should give IKEA your results.
Thanks.
Oh, I'm sure Ikea knows already 😊
What about the Vedhamn natural wood color cabinets? These were not even on the list? Aren't they extremely popular?

Glad it was helpful! Most importantly, they all come with 25 years of warranty.
Good luck I am not part of the masses. I installed RINGHULT high-gloss light grey. I like it.
And that is what's important 👍

Thank you for your feedback. I agree with you and I think you'll see smudges even more on the dark blue Axstad.
I was on the edge of my seat, hoping the winner was Enkoping (the least expensive shaker-style option). Darn darn darn…. Any options on Enkoping
Enköping is relatively new so it didn't make it to top 5. Maybe next time ☺️🙏

Yes, you're right about that.
The choice of colour and style is very much related to the age-group of my clients.
Bodbyn Off White was our choice as it looked timeless & not a stark white
And it's a very solid door too. Good paint 👍
