  • This Real Deal 1952 Willys M38 Overland Jeep has taken its 50's era war time jeep and transformed it into a good combination of both generations. This Steal bodied Jeep was completely restored inside and out along with its drive train has been rebuilt and it runs and drives beautifully. It is riding on a new set of 35X12.50 BFG tires, light bars, custom bumpers, wench, and much more. Its powered by its rebuilt 4 cylinder, 4 speed with a great working 4 wheel drive. This is a great looking Jeep that is bound to turn heads wherever you go.

Jeep on “35” tire using stock tapered can easily break off compared to flange axles after market are stronger.

Beautiful Jeep, military restoration???? The ax, shovel, rear seat, glove box plates and the OD paint. So maybe 5-7% military and the rest is aftermarket CJ3A. Steering should be tight with a Saginaw box. Get your descriptions right about the vehicle. Then I hear the guy announce he’s in 4th gear??? I’ve never seen a 4 speed T90 trans.

Super Sami , I share some of the same thoughts you do. The salesman just isn’t very knowledgeable about what he is selling. But even the data plates are reproduction. Is still a nice Jeep though. I like the bumpers and roll bar, it has the potential to be a nice trail rig. It looks like it has an overdrive installed. Don’t know what kind of lift kit they used, but it’s a bit terrifying. At first I thought superlift, but the springs only has three leafs. When he drove over the speed bump it was jarring. I can’t imagine how miserable this thing would be to actually drive off road. Which is maybe good, cause the drive shafts look like they are about at full extension already leaving little or no room for any articulation. It hasn’t had brake upgrades, and I can’t tell if has Saginaw upgrade or not. And would be nice to know if lockrights have been put in or not. It looks to me like there is a skid plate missing too. And I’m curious what’s up with that aluminum spacer between the transmission and bell housing. Im curious where they were going with this. With all the mods it’s not car show ready, but it’s not Rubicon ready either, at least not with those springs.

Bobbi Laval You’re absolutely right and I’m quite sure he didn’t deliberately misrepresent it. Someone should have done a little research, to me it’s like saying you have a restored Model T pickup and don’t mention it has an aftermarket fiberglass body.

@@bobbilaval6171 There's no overdrive, at least not a Warn / Saturn unit,
I was watching for the lever that wasn't there, It would have a long cane shifter like he gearshift lever, and just to the right of it.
The aluminum 'spacer' in front of transmission and bell would be an adapter to match stock bell housing to aftermarket 4 speed.

@@-oiiio-3993 I looked again and you are absolutely right about no overdrive. On a side note, my CJ-2a with a Pinto motor has one of your adapter kits. And when I rebuilt the transmission I got the overhaul kit from you. That was a few decades ago by now. Your customer service was excellent, or should I say you knew exactly the washer I had put in backwards when I called asking about a part that was leftover, lol. I’m happy to see that you are still in business and supporting the Jeep community :)
