Is there anyway to set shortcuts for the "avoid collisions" in properties panel? Or any best practice for using Keyboard Maestro to create properties panel shortcuts?
You can record a macro: create a text item and select it, from menu Script choose "Start recording macro", click the Engrave mode panel, activate the switch for Avoid Collision, "Stop recording macro", save the macro in menu Script naming it "avoid collision" or whatever you like, and then set a shortcut for that menu item using macOS built in shortcuts functionalities, or using Keyboard Maestro "Select or Show a menu" action, pointing it at Menu Title "Script" and Menu Item "avoid collision". Now every time you select a text, you can use your KM shortcut and the avoid collision switch will be switched on :-)
Thank you John, for again another amazing, clear and deep tutorial!! I love the Discover Dorico series!!
Fantastically useful tutorial. Layout is the part of Dorico that I have struggled with the most so thank you for putting this together.
Brilliant! Answered 2,187 questions that I had.
This is very helpful. I am 5 months into Dorico and still learning.
