All we know is that Drake was arrested and Johnny wasn't to me which means he cooperated with a cop. they care more about gett the actual killer anyway yeah if Johnny refused to testify against Drake they probably have a charge with accessory to murder but they didn't so tell me in the end he saved his own skin. they never dive deep into Johnny's story about that night and I think that was a waste. yeah,, he wasn't the best kid but your friend murdered a dude in front of you who messed you up and started questioning your life choices. he told Ali when he ran the way that after the murder life with his parents was hell. it would be worth watching to see how it was between Johnny and his folk. but they wasted it.

Degrassi and Lakehurst may have been rivals in the beginning. But after one of their own stabbed JT, an innocent boy to death, all because he wanted to play a joke on him, it caused a turf war between two schools. Even though the students of Lakehurst sought refugee at Degrassi after their school burned down, some aren’t willing to forgive them for what happened to JT.
I wish Devon Bostick would've stayed longer, I really liked his character even though he wasn't around long. It would've been nice to see him become a main character like Johnny did and see his growth. But he ended up getting bigger roles so it was a win win regardless.

To be clear, Johnny was a former Lakehurst student, but I considered the 'Lakehurst storyline' concluded once the school burned down. The series opens with Spinner, Jimmy, Ashely, Paige, Terri, and others in grade 8, and Toby, J.T, Emma, Manny, etc. in grade 7. The series holds pretty faithfully to this group of kids for the first 8ish seasons. At the time of the Lakehurst war, some of these characters have already moved on. Writing the Lakehurst students into the final season with the old cast allowed them to introduce a bunch of new characters for upcoming seasons.

They specifically went out of their way to create Holly J as a significant character by casting Charlotte Arnold who came from the back of starring in Naturally Sadie, Anya was her supporting character and also Damian and Jane who both had some interesting stories with Spinner, Emma and Manny. Of course they went one step further when they revealed that Jane and Lucas, Johnny's friend were brother and sister and did more. I think they did a pretty good job of introducing and connecting these characters just before 2007 class (including Spinner and Jimmy) graduated. A lot of the newly introduced characters had a good run when the old cast left the series.

did they do the whole Lakehurst storyline because they realized that they were running out of cast for the upcoming seasons?

@@advisedgnu69backup72 Why are you replying to me with this comment? It has nothing to do with anything I said. When I said "Lakehurst storyline" I was referring to the events that led to JT's death and the Lakehurst students' arrival at Degrassi shortly after that.
To be clear, Johnny was a former Lakehurst student, but I considered the 'Lakehurst storyline' concluded once the school burned down.
The series opens with Spinner, Jimmy, Ashely, Paige, Terri, and others in grade 8, and Toby, J.T, Emma, Manny, etc. in grade 7. The series holds pretty faithfully to this group of kids for the first 8ish seasons. At the time of the Lakehurst war, some of these characters have already moved on. Writing the Lakehurst students into the final season with the old cast allowed them to introduce a bunch of new characters for upcoming seasons.
@@jimmyjimmyjohnson8343 Not only introduced new characters, some in Season 6 and some more in Season 7 when Lakehurst burned down, quite a few in Grade 10 and 11, but they also gave them an automatic storyline to run with coming from Lakehurst instead of being new random students who enrolled. Sav and Mia talked about being back at Lakehurst, Johnny and his friends were an important part of Season 7. They specifically went out of their way to create Holly J as a significant character by casting Charlotte Arnold who came from the back of starring in Naturally Sadie, Anya was her supporting character and also Damian and Jane who both had some interesting stories with Spinner, Emma and Manny. Of course they went one step further when they revealed that Jane and Lucas, Johnny's friend were brother and sister and did more. I think they did a pretty good job of introducing and connecting these characters just before 2007 class (including Spinner and Jimmy) graduated. A lot of the newly introduced characters had a good run when the old cast left the series.
