This isnt getting enough recognition for how well it was put together to show how much of a part ACE played in his future and meant to everyone including the fans that took alike to at the start, this shows true pain and sadness but also hope, you cant forget the many people that were there before that mattered along the people that mattered to them. The reason the rest of the straw hats took ace's death so hardly is because when they needed someone the most luffy was there, but when luffy needed help...they were nowhere to be seen

All the strawhats felt luffs's pain because he is always there for them even if he has no leadership skills that normally pop up when facing the tough opponent.....
He has leadership skill but he only shows it when it is needed. On ship with friends he is their close friend but when time comes he becomes and behaves like a KING.. That's why he is gonna be Pirate King..

1:47 Sabo's reaction to Ace's death always makes me cry so much bc as soon as he saw Ace's death on the newspaper he instantly got all his memories back, realizing Ace was his brother, crying and passing out. I can only imagine how he felt.
The man full out had a mental breakdown over it all. I can't even imagine how that feels. The rush of all the memories coming back and the feelings with them, compounded by the fact that he didn't remember them for 10 years and now one of them is dead and will never know he was alive the whole time? I would never fully recover mentally or emotionally from that. That would hang over my head for the rest of my life

This is so beautifully made, makes me shed a couple of tears watching this. One piece is truly a masterpiece, and will forever be in our hearts.
Over and over and over again and again no matter how many times I watch this. No matter how many times I hear this. I always struggle to not cry. Listening to usopp. Hearing what he said. It tears me apart. This is just an anime. A cartoon, but the impact of these words. No tv show, no movie, no anything could give this much impact as this scene did other then when ace died. This is an amazing anime

If I’m being honest that arc showed not only us but also many people who knew the straw hats that Luffy had some of the most important and loyal people on his crew. It showed how much they cared for Luffy and how hurt they were that they weren’t there to help Luffy go through the loss of ace. They’re nakama but also family. And family always sticks together. No matter what is thrown at them. And the straw hats have shown us just that. Man oda really did such a good job with one piece.

When luffy needed his crew they weren't there ( I am not saying that they didn't want to the circumstances didn't let that happen) but jimbie only knew him for one or two days and pulled him out of his darkest times. That's why jimbei is great.

Nami reaction was the hardest bc luffy was there when she broke down in Arlong Park arc. And she couldn't be there for him after aces death
Even tho the entire community straight up spoiled his death for everyone near the very beginning of the manga, it still hit hard reading the chapter

This was a heartbreaking video. The scenes, the music, the emotions. It was so heartbreaking all over again yet thia video was beautifully, amazingly done. I will NEVER EVER forget this episode. This was one of the animes that ive watched that has just ONE scene that broke me to pieces. I will NEVER forget how much the pain Luffy felt. We ALL felt it, and for real!

I wasn't sad when I broke up with someone at the time. But when the night I saw Ace's departure from it all made me feel so sad that it shed tears of my manhood. Never again felt that sad before but Ace's death made me lose everything
