You know what makes this couple so healthy? They both have a mutual understanding that they love each other and never stopped loving each other, whether they were together or not. In every other relationship there was always doubt of whether they are loved or love the other person. Secretly they have always known who their true love is.
The only ones who truly understood each other were Dawson and Joey, and Pacey and Andie.

How could Joey have taken so long to realise Pacey was the right man for her ? Such a lovely guy, affectionate, warm, sinicere, funny, so pleased she landed up with him in the end.
She always knew who it was. She was just comfortable with running from Pacey than embracing their love.

These are the questions I have for Joey wanting to be with Pacey. Pacey slept with his teacher. I dont know about you but that would put up some pretty red flags of getting into a relationship. When Pacey takes Joey to the dinner for his work, he wants to ditch her so he can comeback and sleep with another women, they proceed to go to KMart only bc Pacey wanted to buy a condom and get stuck there. In the last episodes Pacey is having an affair with a married woman and he get beaten up over it. Is this the kind of guy you want to marry?
He yelled at her saying he felt worthless in her presence. Tends to push you away from a guy.
my thoughts: it wouldn't have (taken her that long). but a teen soap tv show that goes thru highschool and college years just has to drag it out and keep it interesting ;)

Out of all The OC, OTH, and Dawson creek moments this series finale is definitely the saddest. The acting here is really so genuine it’s crazy.
No matter how much they try they can never deny how much they really truly loves each other and they will never stop loving each other and Pacey was her “first” and that means something to Joey in so many ways!!!!!!!!

I would have played Joey's part for nothing throughout this entire series if it meant playing opposite Joshua Jackson. Oh how I loved his character, Pacey Witter.
You can see how smitten Katie is with Josh too. Night and day difference in terms of chemistry.

In someways Pacey never got it right with another girl because he was never REALLY OVER Joey he always loved her and she was really the only woman for him!!!!!!!!

What I hate about Pacey is he couldnt forgive Andie for her physical affair (and I really believed Andie when she said she was sorry) the girl was mentally ill but the angel Joey gets away with her emotional cheating all the time. In my book emotional cheating is far worse to a guy like Pacey.

@@yusufraage8554 I totally agree, I hate that Pacey wasn't able to forgive Andie. It wasn't a normal situation at all, she was struggling with severe mental illness. She slept with another guy one time when she was afraid she would never come home and see him again, and regretted it immediately afterwards. It's not like she would have cheated on him again. I thought it was so wrong that he would say something about how his love wasn't enough to save her because... of course it wasn't, she had a mental illness. No one's love is going to snap them out of that any more than you can snap someone out of having cancer, the only treatment is the right therapy and possibly medication.

I guess it’s presumed she says it off camera. I know they both fixed up True Love, Pacey’s boat. So it’s probably assumed while Dawson is her platonic soulmate, Pacey is her true love.
She did, but it got cut out in the editing room because it gave away that Joey would end up with Pacey and the writers wanted to keep it a surprise til the very end. Joey said something along the lines of "the way I love you is the way a woman loves a man." She said this right after that line of her love for Dawson being purely innocent.

I loved that Pacey and Joey are together in the end. When he recognized she was wearing her Mother’s bracelet - I was so hoping she ends up with Pacey. I think Dawson should have stayed and gave his relationship with Jen another try. I hated what happened with Jen, her final moments with Grams 😢. It was beautiful and so sad. I can’t watch that scene ever again. I never felt that she should have ended up with Dawson. ( sorry don’t give hate Dawson was such a cry baby to me) 😂
Even if they weren’t together or if they were apart her heart never left him she could never stop thinking about him and the same was for Pacey too and that’s one of the reasons why they got back together in the end because Joey ALWAYS HAD PACEY IN HER HEART even if she was with somebody else!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely!! She struggled with her love for pacey because he wasn’t initially part of the life she envisioned for herself…. Pacey pushing her step out of the confinements of her own head and be her best self was integral to her character development.
People talk a lot about Pacey’s love for Joey, but Joey’s unconditional deep love for Pacey was one of the best things about the show

Its odd that aside from Joey's spoiled roommate (who only got in through connections and money) and Eddie (who turned out not to be a real student) - she never really made any new friends while in her fancy college.
Neither did Jack or Jen , and neither did Dawson.............and Pacey didn't either.
It's like none of them really expanded their social circle that much or at all. Doesn't seem healthy .

This show started off really well , then slowly started to lose its way until it became a bit of a joke . The ending was utterly crap , I can’t believe they ended it that way , it ruined the whole show , what a shame
