It's funny how I've only just started considering getting Spad, and you now post a video, which makes me want it even more. I'll be getting the trail ASAP! I believe it's a one-off purchase limited to a year of updates.
Looks very useful, and will certainly save time trying to sort out profiles. Downloaded it, noticed I need SDK and to add data to an INI file, will do that over the next few days.
Thanks for sharing this. I’ve been having the debate about which set to buy, but based on my desk set up, I think the airbus captains pack will be the best set up. This will be great strikes to fly Boeing or any other plane.😊
Great video. I've had Spad for a few years now and it is a fantastic piece of software. It has improved a lot over the years (it wasn't bad to start with!) adding new features etc. Wait until you get into scripted events, long press, short press, hold, release. It even integrates with Arduino boards for those of us who like to build stuff and tinker with the code.
Great video, however I am having a couple issues. With my flaps/speedbrakes, it appears the axis are inverted. Meaning I have to move my physical levers all the way down, then work upwards to operate them. Also I can get the parking brake to disengage with the physical switch but not engage. I am using the Les O'Reilly configuration you showed. Any tips?
The conditional programming re: engine shutdown inhibited while weight off wheels... great for most simmers. Will frustrate thise who practice in air emergencies / procedures. But easily deleted in the engine shutdown switch logic. :) The long press for TOGA or A/T is a great idea. The only other addon is getting the LVAR to also "click" the A/T flashing for you. Similar with Autopilot Disconnect - can also get it to cancel the A/P indicator. Adding a time delay for gear up when selected can move the gear lever in the sim to OFF, not just up so the hyd system isnt constantly supplying the landing gear with pressure :)
@@AirNOTT I invested in the Fenix triple pack, followed this video and it worked straight away. Only thing I had to do was config the zones of the throttles. I use simbitworlds "a pilots life" and when I get an airline that flies the 777 or 787 I'll be doing the same
Very nice video, thanks. I use Mobiflight with a home designed and 3D printed radio management panel for about £25 that suits my A320 use on VATSIM. If you have access to a printer and can do some basic soldering you can do the same. I also made my own FCU, EFIS and a conglomeration of the exterior lights and autobrake panels the same way, complete with illuminated buttons. Mobiflight is a good addon and I suspect it would also handle a lot of the other controls if you wanted it to. Given you seek to have controls that work equally well across airframes, this might work really well for you. SPAD looks pretty slick though, really like the automatic profile switching.
Very usefull, I used SPAD already for a few years but mostly for my Streamdeck xl button config in MSFS, gonna setup some profiles as well, greetz from The Netherlands
Been using since early days of MSFS but still a very useful video for config ideas. BUT... preset manager, clear all. How did I not ever see this 😅🤦♂️
Great video ! Could you please do a small one for MSFS 2024 ? The new controls settings are so confusing. Do i need a Spad profile for each controls ( General, Airplanes, Specific) ?
The Radio panel by Logitech is just great. Works every time for me. Bit of free software which I always us once in cockpit: Logitech MSFS plugin. I'm not currently using SPAD, so don't know if it's needed once you use that? Good luck with the panel + Vatsim. Barty
Thanks for the fab video. But I am having some issues that I cannot explain. We both have the same version, but I have the TCA Quadrant + Left and Right addons also. I am trying to configure the Fenix A320 and have tried to use the same snippet you have. But in mine the ignition switch does not work. Nor does the gear for example. Also, you see a graphical representation of your throttles within the SPAD software, but I see an arcane bunch of button and slider graphics. Odd!
Great video. I am trying tonight. Also I heard lots of things about Spad. But I confused about using Spad with fsuipc. Is there a problem using sapd together with fsuipc. Forexample are you using both same time? or uninstall fsuipc?
Been thinking about this since you put the video up. I'm wondering if MSFS2024 will already have the functionality built in so I think I'll live with the existing hassles and see what happens.
Unsure. The main appeal is that it can interface with the Boeing in ways the sim can’t. Like you say, 24 may change things. Hard to know. I do like the press and hold functionality that spad offers, for example I now press and hold on the throttle button for a flex take off. No doubt I’ll also use it to fix the Logitech radio panel issue too
I brought spadnext and it doesn't show the tca quadrant just buttons also I've used the same profile and for the love of me I cannot get the autobrake to work at all
Sure does. I purchased it to stop having all the headaches trying to get the lights working on the bravo throttle, all the factory software and "fixes" never worked. Was much more powerful and versatile. Best product I've purchased apart from the PMDG and Honeycomb gear. Really unlocks the hardware and makes it easy to use across anything you will fly. It's not limited to MSFS. Either. If you race, truck, farm, whatever with controllers... you can create programming for it how you want. :)
@hotelpilot3112 you won't regret it. Getting the hang of programming custom event might seem confusing but there's plenty of great tutorials for SPAD on YT.
Yes but updates are yearly subscription. First year of updates are included in the one time purchase. You do NOT have to subscribe to updates. The software will continue working regardless BUT I highly recommend subscribing for two reasons: 1 - to support c0nnex (the developer) and 2 - the sheer number of updates that improve the software. However you can update every two or three years if you so desire as well.
From what I have read, with some obvious Chinese whispers, when you select a plane, the settings will auto select the right control profiles, I hope so, as I expect the likes of PMDG pay MS to be on the Market Space.
Holy moly... true definition of exactly what i needed for boeing when i am using my airbus gear. Thanks a lot!

Thx. My TCA came alive with this
spad is a must imo, I've been using it with the logitech panels and the bravo throttles for years
I've got spad purely thanks to this video. It makes it SOOOO much easier
C’mon spad, where’s my cheque?? 😉

spadnxt was one of the most crucial addons I got when I first got the sim and a Thurstmaster product

WHY have I only just come across this software WOW!! Thanks for the video 🎉 life saver
No problem!
Omg you are a legend to make this tutorial…..subscribing now
Appreciate you!

Thank you for highliighting this application. I have been wanting something like this for ages.
Glad it was helpful!
My wish has come true ❤ thanks for the great video once again.
Absolutely best vid about this. Perfect timing for me too.
Thanks very muchly.

I’ve had SPAD for ages. Was appears confused by it. Thank you for the info!
No worries!
You are awesome. Thank you so much for this information. Great video.
How can you reverse the axis for flaps & spoilers for the TCA? I followed your tutorial & it works flawless besides those things
Thank you so much you are a life saver. I can’t wait to do this for all my aircraft.

Cheers, Barty! Thanks for letting us know about the plugin. Was unaware
Thanks for bringing this to my attention, i will check this out.
Hope you enjoy it!
Hello, could you link the tca A/T disconnect (red button) ? I think they forgot it
Thanks for the fab video. But I am having some issues that I cannot explain. We both have the same version, but I have the TCA Quadrant + Left and Right addons also. Just got Spad & downloaded the same snippet for the tca fenix A320 as you did, but the engine buttons & autubrake switch don't do anything 🤷🏻♂️
The auto switching profile is tied to the aircraft registration. :)

hi mate how do you flips axis for spoilers? the profile for Les sets mine as full spoilers same for flaps, full extension when 0 physically set
Is it possible to have spad turn on when you start Msfs?
Been thinking about this since you put the video up. I'm wondering if MSFS2024 will already have the functionality built in so I think I'll live with the existing hassles and see what happens.

Same here. Also, I cannot get the same snippet @airnott used to work fully in Fenix.
Does idle reverse also work in the PMDG 737 and 777 with those profiles?
the reversers arent working for me on les profile
Thanks! This is very helpful.
Where did you get your 737 flap handle from
I 3D printed it. Separate video on the channel showing how I did it if you’re interested
Informative video thanks question will the honeycomb throttle bravo also work well with Spad as easily as you shown with the tca ?
Sure does. I purchased it to stop having all the headaches trying to get the lights working on the bravo throttle, all the factory software and "fixes" never worked.

I hope and I think they will be compliance with MSFS2024 when it comes out
It is not workin to open the software I don’t know if that is because I live in europe😢
cant seem to locate the a300 snippet ... strange
Weird!
Amazing job

website doesnt work
is it a one off payment

Anyone else having problems with TOGA not working and also Autobrake?
Did you cancel the SI sub?
Never actually had one, they’ve been kind enough to give me access. Need to check back in with it soon
@@AirNOTT If you do please do a 777 run so I can see how that announcement works :)
i need this!
Anyone using this software for the dc6 by chance
Do I need to pay for it😢
I made this video using just the trial version, so no need to pay until you’re satisfied it’s going to work
@@AirNOTT what dose tria version mean I get this free for just 14 days? And how do I get this free
Yes, you get a 14 day trial then you pay if you want to keep using it. Its not a free app
Couldn't justify buying the TCA Throttle over the T16000m, completely useles without all the buttons the T16000 offers
And HOPEFULLY, MSFS 2024 will make this possible so we don't have to purchase all this 3rd party crap.
