After my younger siblings started sculpting 3D models for their stories and characters I took a interest in it as well! I started looking into animation movement and 3d model movement, because as the patient one I want to do the animations and they can do the 3D models for my own stories if I animate their art as well, it really is a great trade and bonding experience to learn thus together!! Thanks crash for bringing people together with your tutorials!:D
You put in an inordinate amount of effort compared to the return you get. Videos with such structured and detailed information with tips from personal experience don't get even 1,000 views. I realize that my words "good luck to you" or "I hope your content will be appreciated someday" won't help you in any way, but I hope you don't give up, because some people will be able to appreciate it.
These are extremely helpful, thank you. I was struggling to find a comprehensive guide to blender's animation from the beginning. This is so much easier and less stressful than watching a hundred different tutorials from different people to get a patchy idea of what I'm doing.
This is a very extensive look at the dope sheet and gave me all the knowledge I needed on it! Thank you for releasing this! :D So many fun ways to animate using it, showing each individual value like rotation or scale can really help keep it organized. I am excited for your release on the graph editor, and learning new little tidbits. :D
i was confused on how the cube rotated so many times until I realized that the values probably go past 100%... Sure enough they do, Useful knowledge because I feel like some people won't know why their objects or characters aren't moving correctly.
5:57 is there a difference between Ctrl+C\Ctrl+V and Shift+D? I know that copy paste can be used across platforms (if you wanted to go to a program outside of blender) and duplicate is a one-off thing, but I don't know any other differences. Is there a reason that there are 2 ways to do almost the same function?
Hey! Just wanted to ask real quickly, at 1:30, I press 'I' and it instantly makes a Keyframe. Any idea why the pop-up isn't popping-up? Auto-Key is not on. I'd imagine this has to do with me maybe using a newer version of Blender? Does that pop-up screen really matter?
Yep, it's because of new Blender versions! Pressing "K" in 4.0+ versions of blender brings up that menu pop up and pressing "I" just inserts a keyframe instantly now. Same function just different hotkeys
i have just stumbled on your channel today and i subbed after watching the first video. animating is a lot of fun, but it sometimes feels like you aren't making much progress, or you wonder if you are approaching it right.
Quick question: Did they change the Graph Editor Shortcut on the newer version of the program? I can't get to the same screen with the nice curve on it.

Found it! They switched the control to Shift + F6.
