Yeah, once the tires have spun a bit, it’s pretty hard to get any traction in the snow. I do like your droll humour and energy to even go out and give it a go just for us couch mechanics. 😊👍🏻
I had an old 1985 F150 4wd with this engine and transmission combo that had been modified to 1-ton springs. Absolute beast in the winter and always toasty in under 10 minutes going down the road.
Great old reliable FORD. Started easy picking up an extra cylinder or two as she goes. That looks a lot colder than anything I've experienced here in New Zealand. I'd have heaps of thermal clothing on and my hip rubber boots in that kind of weather. Keep posting these great videos.
They fine for a work truck but I want a V8 in a daily.they burn just as much gas as v8 , don’t sound as good or have the power. I’ve owned a 86 with a 300. I swapped it out and put a 400 with cam heads and intake from a 78 f150. It made it a totally different truck
I had a great friend who hot rodded a 300 with split headers and a 4 barrel and it was a monster. You had to be going about 90 to even get the truck into 4th gear. That thing was fast. Only one I have ever seen like that, but it was epic. I have wanted to do one My self ever since. The in line 6 is better balanced than a V. Ask any Brit. Having said that I love a V8 too. 🤟😎
With the amount of snow you get, i"d think about investing a Army Flame Thrower. It would kind of be like The Backyard Alaskan version of the car wash videos that some more southern TH-camrs like to make! 🤣🤣🤣
Amazing the amount of abuse those old fords will take any other truck would of been in pieces after that display.i had several on line fords the more you beat them the more they wanted. had one that in the winter when you pulled the dipstick it was white(cracked Wrist pin) still had plenty of bottom end. and only made noise when it first started. Very entertaining keep er coming Backyard Alaskan .This old Pennsylvania baby boomer loves watching
Hey Brother, that's alright! You have it about 10 degrees warmer than we have it here. Amazing amount of snow there but at least the ole Ford popped off for you! Standing by for the next vids - take care Bro!
The 300 6 was one of 3 of the best engines they made...The old Girl sounds good. She almost walked out of her bed . The other 2 engines were the 289 and the 351 Cleveland.. All Good engines from Ford..LOL..Great Video...Your Assistant needs a little meat on his bones...LOL...HAHA..Good wind would blow him away.. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I had nearly the exact same booster box but it was Mastercraft brand made by Canadian Tire You’re probably not familiar with them being in America. It did really good for years until I slipped on some ice boosting my buddy’s truck and it shattered on the sidewalk when we both went down. I survived it didn’t. So much for “built for Canadian winters” 😂
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say at least one more likely both of the motor mounts are done as well as the transmission mount, I was wondering if that Napa jump box was any different than the rest of boxes but it seems like mostly the same
The worlds first ford powered glacier moves in Alaska. :D

She’s a beauty!! 300’s are the beast!!
Great Video. Have fun in the snow. Sitting on the beach in St. Pete. 88 degrees
Like I said before always love your sense humor. And love these cold starts. Got to love those 6 tower of power.
Fun times. Those 300 engines are awesome! I also had a 86 with the 300. It was automatic with 2WD. All I needed in Florida. 😁
Rock it Barb

Nice seeing three pedals. Wish you could find that these days.
Igloo cab package,, 😆 😆 😆,,that was a good one buddy, nice 👍 👍 👍 👍
That truck reminds me of that classic rock song jump box hero.
I vote put a little work in the bull nose looks like a fun truck to keep around
300 is one of the best engines ever made. 🤟😎

Before frost free refrigeration, freezer items long standing had to be laboriously dug out from the ice. Kind of like your backyard :-)
See you after the snow is no more .😊
your cold start ups are the best - and: lovin' the sound of the inline 6 !
Love the Bullnose. I have an 84

You’re hired for production ideas 😂
A nice warm tropical day😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍in Alaska😂😂.

That was cool. Nice music.
I got my 2wd 4 door chevy to move about a foot and a half yesterday. Progress is king 😂
@1:07 now THAT is a bullnose 😂
Gotta to love those ole 300s. ❤
I had an 1983 Bronco with the 300ci six. A fine looking bullnose. Drove it for 13 years and wish I still had it, Onward!
You just gotta love snow ❄
5:33 that's one nice TPB reference there buddy
You know it!

All-new Ford iglue addition
My buddy had a 86 bull when we were probably 17-18 years old. Lifted on 33s, 5.0 v8. Fun and nice truck. He regretfully sold it like an idiot.
Cool thanks 👍👍😊
That's an impressive high top conversion mother nature did on the old ford. I'd imagine that really bags the suspension out on them.
God damn I was not expecting a Duke Nukem joke in a Backyard Alaskan video. Might have been the funniest thing I've seen in a while.
BYA, Six in a row almost go in 4 feet of snow! Cheers!
It was 88 degrees here today :)
The 300 rules ....

This is the funniest video you have made. The old 300 sounds great. Thank you for sharing. Until next time.
great fun to watch.

It did the clicky 😂
Igloo cab and Duke Nukem. What else could you ask for in a video? 😀
How Much Snow!!!!?? I get the impression you're looking toward the thaw 🙃
Nice 👍
She's a 🏃♂️ runner 🏃♂️
that was great 👍
I am in Prince George BC and we got slammed with snow as well. I am rebuilding my truck so have not got to play alot this season
i hear ya about there being not much to do during fake spring, i'm going to shovel some stuff off just for exercise
Now turbo that six and quad triple the power and torque so big pieces can enjoy some breakage!
Drop the tire pressure to below 10. It'll move then.

300 good motor
If anyone can make it run...my money is on you buddy
Kansas didn't get that much snow this year probably 3 in of snow Kansas been in a drought
🤠👍
Tow hook time
I managed to blow up a CV axle plowing snow this year... "a welder is a very helpful tool" still 28*f where i am.
It would've came out a lot easier if you got all that snow off of the driver's side wing window!
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say at least one more likely both of the motor mounts are done as well as the transmission mount, I was wondering if that Napa jump box was any different than the rest of boxes but it seems like mostly the same
Yep the motor mounts are toast.
call me you have a Ford F-150 bullnose 300 i6 with decent oil pressure 😮 🤯 my bullnose f-150 bullnose never have that good of oil pressure
I had no dought it would start. Chevy's need not apply.
There's white sand everywhere
I want it please
Progress, not perfection.
