My friend who has learned Eskrima and Judo for many years was attacked by a man with a knife.... his perspective changed entirely as he was stabbed and hospitalized for a time. I believe it was Andrew Wiltse in a YT video discussion about being a bouncer and he made a comment to give an 8yo a sharpie and tell the 8yo to write on you when you try to take the knife. My new favorite quote, "I'm going to... beat them up gentle".
Sounds like some of the tournaments run in Saskatchewan.. school owner and organizer jumping in to ref their own student, reseting in better positions. No conflict at allllllll.
Good stuff! Thank you. As a new blue belt myself, I do like trying some of that flashy shit. But I have a rule: I only allow myself to try it if there's less than 60 seconds left in the round. Before that, I just play my normal game.
Former CO, There was an incident when I had only been on the job for two weeks where I had to disarm a pretty gnarly shiv by hand because my partners froze up and didn’t use their tools. (I wasn’t certified with them yet) It was 100% luck that he didn’t react until I had him clinched but he STILL managed to cut one of us while on the ground. I have the little bit of security footage that they released to the news but they cut out all of the good stuff lol. Definitely the most afraid I’ve ever been, jiujitsu came in handy that day for sure.
So glad yall are back. Thank you for the time.
Thank you for the shout out 🙌
Thanks for coming! Crushed my heart when you said no to a roll 😭😛
Haha yeah sorry I owe you a roll, until next time😅
