My main job is house dad. Jiu jitsu really helps me balance out and when that isn't working out 3d printing allows me to build and solve puzzles off the matts it's very chill and I find rewarding 😀 One of my closest friends was Competition based taekwando coach and game hunter for years. He is now into knitting 😮 Small crafts help us fill in the awkward times.
If either of you want to wrestle in a tournament, I will come up there and coach you. I would spend a few days with you on rules and strategy and coach you in the tournament so you can learn in the moment
On the topic of unorthodox judo throws and that intuitive throwing style, some of the best at that are the georgian and mongolian teams, coming from their respective local wrestling styles. Would really recommend checking out some clips
I'll answer to questions for ya. Yes bjj transfers over to wrestling easily. Just play your top game. I did bjj before I learned wrestling. Made friends with a wrestling coach. Had me come into the school, but Had to do everything the team did was the stipulations. Stayed with him for 4 yrs and did bjj at our academy also. That being said, for wrestling tournaments go to your local schools after wrestling season and they will have wrestling tournaments held by the schools or get on usa wrestling and join. They will send you a book with all the tournaments in the USA.
I really think both arts have a ton of transferable skills, and I'd love to test it! It's hard to find events in western Canada though, unfortunately our country's wrestling infrastructure is pretty bad in comparison to the States
I’m from Ontario Canada and my school didn’t have high school wrestling, that was back in the 90s, but I don’t know about now. But the wrestling culture is definitely much more engrained in United States than Canada, I wish BJJ , Muay Thai, and wrestling were mandatory.
Makes my day when you guys post a new pod, listened to every single one!!
I love Jordan's mispronunciation of any and every name, it's pretty funny
LOL. Not just names, but so many words. I don't know what's wrong with me 😅
