Um... You have your front pipe and downpipes mixed up. The downpipe connects to the turbo.

If I were to replace the front pipe, that would still all be directly under the car right? Or will I be replacing something going up into the engine bay?
Not sure if mentioned anywhere, but next time removing front pipe bushing...just spray ample amount of lubricant and let it soak for few minutes and itll slide out like butter with a big flat head screwdriver or a u shaped fork.

props for doing it on your own:D there's something missing cause there's a vibration coming from it revved. i just raced my friends 2017 honda vtec have it up on my channel
pro tip- wipe off the downpipe with brake clean after you're done touching it..will color in nicely with heat and erase any fingerprints that will be burnt in.
I have a 2006 Civic with 243,000 plus miles and watching this video is making me want to go to the dealership buy an Si and do all the modification I can afford. 😂😂😂
It works in reverse too I have some EF hatches I was building but now im paying of a Civic X lol
I'm an Evo owner, retired AF myself and like your channel man! Love to see what you're doing with your Si. Any plans to auto-x, or drag race your car? Be sure to ziptie all your vacum lines. vacum leaks will sap your power. Keep up the good work!

Car sounds awful man, speaking from experience it sounds really bad to put it into kind words. I couldn't stand my car after I did the catless dp/fp. The rasp is the worst, I fixed my rasp by installing a vibrant ultra quiet resonator in my stock location and I would highly recommend it. I think you'll really like how smooth it sounds with the resonator, since you still have muffler deletes I'm sure it will still be somewhat loud if you're into that. I had my stock mufflers modded with an s2k bypass mod, and the car sounds great I get tons of compliments even from R owners. PS: the donwpipe is the one connected to the turbo, the front pipe is the long one :)

TTorres1183 For sure, keep up the videos. I suspect a clutch is in your future lol. If you do ever get tired of the rasp, you won't be disappointed with a vibrant ultra quiet res, really improves the exhaust note
yeah i would agree with you.. I dont know maybe i am just older and like just a subtle performance noise which i believe can be obtained with just an intake/ downpipe/front pipe install and leaving the muffler stock. There is no performance gain taking out the resonators.
I agree. Car sounds awful. I think any exhaust on the civic sounds bad. I own an 18 Si and I'm going to keep the exhaust system stock. I also have a 2014 Subaru STI with a turboback exhaust and it sounds like heaven. Love the si but any exhaust is just terrible sounding to me.

TTorres1183 Hey man did you get a new exhaust or not yet? I'm building one for my car right now. I think if you keep the SI turbo, it generally sounds better than the regular one. The turbine wheel has less vanes and gives less back-pressure.

i really think you should do a full custom 3" catback, I would go with a vibrant resonator and muffler, or maybe just maybe ktuned comes out with one soon. I know they are doing a type r exhaust since it is a k series motor.
I need more options when it’s comes to exhaust...

PB the studs overnight or heat them carefully. Dont do the front pipe and dont delete the resonator (No real gains, money waste and bad noise). Just do a catless DP and if you want more sound a muffler delete after.

The tuner from PRL told me after 18psi, CAI and intercooler adding a DO/FP would certainly push the stock clutch past its limit :(

i would just break the clutch before changing it, make sure you change the flywheel , too...
No flywheel is available at this time (05-2018). Being that this is a dual mass fly wheel, resurfacing is out as well.

this was a pain in da azz... the turbo bolts and nuts are crazy tight... had 2 buy a 17 inch breaker bar and tons of PB blaster....cut that rubber gommett and installed new one... save at least 30 mintes on job..

Yeah don’t do the resonator/muffler delete. It got old.
Car sounds really good but have you thought about getting an ARK or MAP exhaust with street muffler ?

How do you jack the car up onto stands? The pinch welds are obviously there for the jack stands but where do you jack to get it onto the stand?

Has your car been pro tune yet? Normally when deleting your cat on a booster your you’ll need a tune. OTS will buy you some time but pro tune will clean out your a/f. Speaking from experience.
No pro tune yet. One day I will get one. Let’s just say one is coming soon

I love my new civic I'm glad I bought it because I found this channel really enjoying watching you transform that si my favorite mod so far are the letters on the tires I would love to do that to mine but its ex sedan not sporty like yours keep the vids coming

you know I might get them for my mustang that would be cool because that gets stored for the winter anyways because I was wondering how those would hold up in the slush and snow here in Ohio but since I only drive it on nice days never seen rain in 3 yrs I have owned it its a 07 only has 33 k on it plus its more fun to drive with the top down I did do a lot mods to it also so I will be looking into those letters for it again thanks for sharing that vid never seen those on any cars up here and I go to car shows all the time

Can you mention the jacking points and jack stand locations of your civic si? Idk the correct locations for the 10th gen civic si. Don’t wanna damage anything. I checked the manual but it’s vague.

Hey dude, my dad and I are planning to install this on my 2018 SI coupe. This video was helpful. I know you have the Type R now. I'm learning all this car stuff. So the O2 sensor i don't have to remove right? And it guess it makes sense to install the piping before the prl intake?
Remove the O2 once the pipe is out of the car.

Bro.. I appreciate the vids! I have the same car but in black and it's completely stock. In order to install the front and down pipe it's best to have the KTuner in order to delete the check engine light and make other adjustments?

I personally would have left the muffler/resonator alone because it seems too loud for my tastes. Can people hear you when you use the bluetooth talking through the radio?

well thats good to hear. SI is a great car.. I would change that made in india clutch/flywheel next so you can put 280 tq without slipping.

i am a big fan of black cars especially hondas nighthawk black pearl, drove a black honda for 14 years. The white civic si i think actually looks real good because it shows all the black details of the car.. I got my CW at msrp for 34k and will be looking forward to seeing the car when i take delivery in a week. I originally wanted black because its more stealthy , but white has grown on me for this car. You should change out the steering wheel to a type r
wheel its only 180 bucks for the part.

Good question.... but Alabama doesn’t do inspections.
I have got mixed answer from that . Some say if you unload tune you are good.Some say it can be detected that it has been taken out.

I have mine installed 2 weeks ago and it sounds absolutely amazing (Camera just won't capture that loud compared to hear live, lol). Also, do you have rear motor mount installed yet?

Have your check engine light come up yet? I have used Ktuner catalyst efficiency (same as shown in your video), but the light will still come on after 20 miles every time I reflash it. Little bit annoying.
