  • Episode 14 - Our lap of Australia
On this episode, we explore the Flinders Ranges. Some hectic 4wd tracks, insane views and so many Emus, it was epic!
    Where we stayed:
    Rawnsley Park Station
Great spot in the heart of the Flinders. Huge area for camping! Good amenities.
    Willow Springs Station
Great spot. A station stay just up the road from Rawnsley. They have done well setting up the camping area. Great amenities. My favourite spot out of the 3 we stayed. Home of the Skytrek 4wd track.
    Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary
Probably the worst road we have ever driven on to get here. Very remote! The cutest rock wallabies visit every evening.
    Thanks for watching!

We have done route 66 in the states. I agree the flinders does remind us of the states. More the Nevada and Mojave desert areas
We also thought the southern end of the Birdsville track reminded us of the states

It was an intense moment, the camera had to be put down to safely get the van and car turned around.

Curious, How wide is your stone stomper bar across the back of the car? Great videos guys! 😊

Thanks guys ! I’ll have to get a hold of a measuring tape to have a look for you. The measurement is out side of wheel to outside of wheel if that helps 👍

What tyre pressure and speed do you guys recommend through there?

Most corrugated and rocky roads/tracks we have been on. We drop everything straight to 30 psi and adjust from there if we need to. As for speed we don’t usually go over 80kmh if the road is perfect but through all the tracks at flinders we were lucky to get over 50kmh or 60kmh.
