  • Episode 15 - Our lap of Australia
In this episode, we drove from Marree to Marla along the famous Oodnadatta Track.
    Where we stayed:
    Marree Hotel
Free night’s stay out the back of the hotel if you buy a meal. Would have been cheaper to pay for accom somewhere but that’s the joys.
    Coward Springs
An oasis in the middle of nowhere. They have done well setting this place up.
    Pink Roadhouse Oodnadatta
Lives up to its name. Pretty cool how everything is pink. Great Oodnadatta burger!
    Marla Caravan Park
Good spot to wind down after the track. It has grass and water to wash down your car.
    Thanks for watching!

Until next time... Tristan, Mel & Paislee

Enjoy your videos. Different strokes for different folks as we are so much happy on dirt and safe when we hit the black top and love that part of the country. We always comment on how there is nothing but at the same time so much to see. You should’ve headed to the painted desert while there.
Look forward to seeing your Uluṟu video.

Thanks guys ! We definitely enjoyed being out in the dirt but also loved the black top as well. We know what you mean about nothing to see but so much to see as well, you can’t explain it over film until you are there. We actually didn’t know about the painted desert until after the fact which we are devo about !

@@chasinganadventure did a good job showing it. You can always do the painted desert without doing the track again if you come from Coober Pedy. Looks like you will have to head back again 😂
Look forward to getting some more time to catch up on you new episodes 👌

06:55 They're basically Caltrops; with a different name, not only in each state, but regionally as well. In the ACT they're names Ram's Heads and the bane for mountain bike riders.

Hi guys, thanks for that trip, Gee the price of fuel is a bit expensive but unavoidable. That dip in the small tub looked great but I wouldn’t want to be first in there could have been a dead body in there. 🥴your little girl was very good as you said and of course the dog. But god the bloody flies
They were shocking anyhow thanks for the trip very enjoyable take care Jon🇦🇺new member.

Hi Jon, Glad you enjoyed the trip !! We knew the fuel was going to be expensive but as you said it was unavoidable. It was hilarious watching Mel get in the pool at Coward Springs !! Paislee and Archie are definitely well seasoned when it comes to travelling, glad you enjoyed the episode and so glad you subscribed 😊

Love the Oodnadatta track! You missed the Algebuckina bridge. Great spot to stretch the legs. Our boys spent time at the crossing catching little spangles. We call the goat heads those prickles in QLD.

We did miss the bridge and were kicking ourselves once we realised. Hopefully we can live that part of the track through some other travellers content 😂…. Haven’t heard goat heads before that’s a good one and we are both from Qld hahaha
