I saw Halestorm live a few months ago and this is the only band I've ever seen that is actually better live than in studio. The vocals have so much emotion behind them, and the whole band really engages with the audience. Best concert I've ever seen, hands down.
Same here. I saw them open for God Smack a couple of years ago and I would not have been disappointed if God Smack opened for Halestorm. They were that good on stage and have become one of my favorite bands.
Saw them last night with EV. Unbelievable.
I saw them on Sunday with Evanescence. Halestorm was WAY better, even though I came slightly more for Evanescence.
Yeah-yeah. And this live is exception of course)) The vocals have so much bad distortions behind them and especially phrase "Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh" (3:53) sounds straight totally out of tune!
Studio record sounds really great in comparison to this piece of performance.
@@Brandon-vo3cb I liked EV a lot more. The two bands are a lot different. Halestorm is just pure energy and in your face, while EV is more nuanced. To each his/her own though.
Absolutely 100% head over heels in love with Lzzy Hale. Easily one of the top ten most powerful vocalists in music today, male or female. The force and range of her vocals never fail to cover me in goosebumps. I completely adore this woman. ❤❤❤
Lzzy did a really good interview with The Charismatic Voice recently where they talk a lot about her techniques and voice care and such. Definitely worth checking out. Also, love her shoes. Almost always wears 8+ inch stilettos flawlessly
Clean, growl, fry, angst and emotion with energy fluidly from one to the next. Love listening to her, very skilled and a top performer
I discovered Lzzy and Halestorm a few month ago. Fascinating to hear the analysis. Incredibly versatile voice. Her acoustic numbers are outstanding too. Also her duets with Amy Lee.

Saw halestorm in Kansas city about a year ago and lzzy yelled during a little thing they were doing and blew the mic 🤣🤣 seen them 4 times so far and they just get better and better!

I saw and met them a few years ago. Lzzy was battling voice issues so she didn't talk when I got to meet them, but she still sang really well that night, considering. You could tell she wasn't at full power, but man... What a show.

Lazy and Halestorm are an incredible band. There is another reviewer on YT that did a tea time interview with Lzzy that lasted over an hour and delved heavily into her singing technique. Was very interesting. It always sounds like she is shredding her voice but she is totally in control.
Check out Lzzy's duet with country singer Eric Church on the song "That's Damn Rock-and-Roll" performed on a country music awards show from a few years back. It's a blast watching her blow a bunch of country entertainers hair back.
Cool stuff boss ; I love the attitude too in fact it is so great that I’m the last 15-20 years all my favorite bands are all women of female fronted ; refreshing change for metal

Lzzy is one seriously great Rock singer, the only one I've heard that can cover older Hard Rock/Metal.
Hi Beth! Can I recommend a new band to react to? That band made Lzzy Hale to want to tour with them with just one song. They are called “The Warning.” A Mexican rock band composed of three sisters. They are about to release their 3rd full album although they are still very young. They are 16, 19 and 21. I really want you to see them. They all can sing also. I can recommend all of their songs but for the lead singers voice I want to recommend “Crimson Queen” live performance. For drummer’s voice I recommend “The End”. I can also recommend “Sinister Smiles” for all three of them 🤘 The Warning is a rabbit hole you would want to fall into. I hope to see them on your channel. 🤍

Not to disagree, cause I’ve seen them live and they are awesome, but if they are the best live show you’ve ever seen, you need to get to some more shows. They were very much in the middle of the rankings of my best live shows
Not for nothing but anyone who goes "I've seen/'heard better" and then doesn't offer up instances of that ... sorry but, you come across as trolling for reaction. So what are your best live shows ... vocalist-wise? Preferably within the genre of hard rock. Because I could say, "Yeah, I've seen Norah Jones and she was phenomenal!" but, it's not the same.
Personally, have I seen better overall shows? Yes. Rush several times, more recently Slipknot, an odd AC/DC or Metallica show (way back), yeah. But currently, I put Halestorm in my "If they're playing remotely locally, I'm going!" list.

I saw Halestorm live back in 2016 and it was absolutely amazing. Lzzy opened with a nice scream, longer than in this video. The energy from that initial scream stayed throughout the concert. If you ever get the chance to see them, do it.

Its funny. She is getting praised for this performance, rightfully. but having heard it performed live and comparing, this was an off night for her.
Vocally, I prefer this performance to the one at Open Air Gampel where she sounded less in tune and more strained. However, she is one of those singers who sound better outdoors than indoors.

You might want to check out a new Italian group called Nocturna (not to be confused with the Lebanese group that had the same name). It's a Goth/Symphonic/Power Metal band with dual female vocalists that have a somewhat operatic sound. The video for the first song from their upcoming album came out a month or so ago and it already has nearly 650,000 views.
