This is what my non-Hmong husband said when we first started dating 😂 he couldn't believe it. The usual foods for their camping/hiking trips were mountain meal bags, chips, beef jerky, granola bars, and canned beans. I was like, y'all doing it wrong 😂
When i went camping with my aunt and cousins for the first time she made pho. I was like dammnn, who makes pho at a campsite? Lol. We had a great time. You guys ATE ATE. yum! 😊
I practically never give comments. I have a question about an older video, growing lemongrass. Last year when it aired, I went out and purchased the same pots and dirt that you used; and planted rooted plants started before your video. August came and my plants looked just like yours, beautiful. But the stems are only 1/3 to 1/2 the diameter size of the ones I buy in the store. I left them in the pots, but they look the same as last year. What am I missing?
@@lawrencerobison1873 they aren’t ready to harvest yet. Needs to wait till probably late September to get them a little bit bigger. Ours are really slow this year as well due to the weather. So every year will differ.
Can you advise how you guys store all these food to keep bears and mountain lions or raccoons away? My family is camping soon and I need to make sure we are prepared because we love to eat too! :)
@@maliakhamsaly we camp near the ocean that also has stores not too far by to get ice once it melts. Coolers do a pretty good job retaining the food in ice for a day. So that’s how we keep things fresh. We also have family member that comes later in the day and they usually help bring extra ice & ingredients. Once we’re done with eating dinner and everyone is off to bed, we usually bring all the food that we think animals would get into straight into our cars and then bring it back out the next morning. A little tedious but so worth it. Hope that helps.
